Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of means and equipment for launching baths for the disabled, people with reduced mobility and the elderly, independently and without effort.
- the purpose of the devices according to the invention is: a) - to allow a disabled person, with reduced mobility or the elderly, to get in and out of their bathtub, effortlessly, independently. b) - to be extremely simple, economical and to run on tap water. c) - not to require any maintenance.
- the device according to the invention consists of simple and removable elements as shown in the accompanying drawings. It consists of: 1- A column of anti-corrosion treated steel or stainless steel (1) for guiding and holding 45 millimeters in diameter for example, which rests on the ground on the one hand and which is kept in compression by a screw jack (2) or pinned with a flange (3) fixed (4) to the ceiling on the other hand, which offers perfect stability to the column. The lower part is held by another flange (5) fixed to the ground (6) which also serves as a rolling surface for the caster (13). Thus fixed, the column will be very rigid. It can be either in one piece, or copied TVs.
- the column will be fixed, for example, at 10 cm from the edge of the bath and, at 20 cm from the wall perpendicular to the edge of the bath.
- 2- A support assembly (7) consisting of a square or cylindrical tube welded into a "U” or “C” shaped profile where guide rings (8) of plastic material will be fixed at the ends. They can also be replaced by ball bushings, or the like, for good guidance.
- this support assembly 80 centimeters high, for example, is mounted a jack (9) equipped with its brackets (10) and fixings (11). The nose of the jack directed downwards will be fitted with a female yoke (12) in which a caster (13) will be mounted.
- the assembly is in one piece.
- the support assembly (7) slides along the column up and down.
- this support assembly can pivot very easily around this column (1).
- a trigger guard (17) which serves as a housing for the support arm (16) intended to receive the seat (20) which could also be a folding seat for example, so as to occupy the least possible space in The bathroom.
- a covering (18) encompasses the whole.
- the upper part of this covering can be closed by a cover (19).
- the control handle (14) can be mounted on the front or on the cover with its supply pipes (15), this control can be a 4-way tap supplying water to the 2 orifices of the jack.
- the operating principle is very simple. The person settles in the seat (20) in the rest position according to FIGURE 1 PAGE 1/3, then turns the control handle (14) to the position
- the seat can be equipped with an extension (22) intended to support the legs of the bather in a horizontal position, this extension pivoting around a joint (23) fixed under the seat (20) controlled by a lever (24) that the 'can be locked in the rest or horizontal position.
- an extension (22) intended to support the legs of the bather in a horizontal position, this extension pivoting around a joint (23) fixed under the seat (20) controlled by a lever (24) that the 'can be locked in the rest or horizontal position.

Abstract
Device allowing disabled, reduced mobility or elderly people to get in and out of a bathtub independently and effortlessly. It consists of a guide column (1) connected to the ceiling and to the ground by flanges (3) and (5), in which slides a support assembly (7) consisting of an upright in the '' U 'profile. 'or in' 'C' 'in which is fixed a round or square tube equipped with guide rings (8) and a cylinder (9) supplied with city water, mounted nose to the ground, which is equipped with a yoke (12) and a caster (13) and, on the other side, a trigger guard (17) in which is housed the support arm (16) seat (20) or a jump seat. A tube (21) or a handle fixed to the wall can be used as a support for the bather for the orientation of the seat. The seat is raised by putting the control handle (14) in the '' raised '' position, thus supplying the rear of the cylinder which rests on the ground on the roller (13). On this support, the cylinder rod comes out and raises the seat in the high position. The bather turns 90 degrees and puts the control on '' descent '' which feeds the cylinder and evacuates the water contained in the rear part of the cylinder, so the seat goes down. To exit, the user repeats the same operation.
