Definitions
- the invention relates to a self-priming pump device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Pumping devices are used in chemical engineering plants as well as in nuclear technology plants which are only partially or not directly accessible for safety reasons or for reasons of personal protection and which are also accessible for reasons of environmental protection but also to protect the liquids to be conveyed from the outside Influences are extremely high requirements regarding reliability and avoidance of leakage.
- the pump, the associated suction device with suction line, pressure line and ejectors for initiating the conveyance and finally the suction container are each arranged side by side on a base plate, which is a matter of special safety measures, e.g. to prevent leakage on fittings, flanges, pipes and the like.
- the invention has for its object a pump device of the type mentioned in the preamble of Claim 1 to create, which can be disassembled and reassembled in the simplest way, particularly for repair or maintenance purposes, quickly and safely, also via remote-controlled manipulators, and in which, in addition, the risk that neighboring parts of the escaping conveying liquid due to defective fittings, flanges and the like Plant contaminated or contaminated by such is largely avoided.
- the second part of the object on which the invention is based is achieved in that the pump and suction device, together with all the connections, etc., are accommodated in the suction container, through the upper end of which only the line leading to the pump and the line leading away from the pump enter or exit . Any leakage of the conveyed liquid at the connections of the intake connection, pressure connection, lines of the intake device etc. remains in the closed intake container.
- a first barrier for the retention of escaping liquid is thus integrated in the pump device.
- the pump itself is enclosed on all sides by the suction tank and therefore does not require any special containment. This is particularly important for the barrier security concept in nuclear technology.
- the solution to the first part of the task defined above results from the fact that after solving the individual Components connecting elements, preferably these are screw connections or tension locks, which can be done by remote-controlled manipulators, e.g. impact wrenches or the like, without difficulty, the pump device can be disassembled, which in turn is possible using remote-controlled manipulators, e.g. lifting devices, first the pump and then the suction device is lifted up out of the suction tank.
- the reassembly is just as easy in the reverse order. This has the important advantage that the most vulnerable part, namely the pump, is removed first and installed last, so that in the event of a defect or for the maintenance of the pump, only this component is removed and then reinstalled. When the pump is lifted out and / or when the connections are disconnected, any liquid escaping remains in the suction tank.
- a particularly expedient embodiment of the suction device is characterized in claim 2 and then enables the equally expedient embodiment of the pump according to claim 3.
- organs for example brackets, hooks or the like, are provided at the upper end of the pump and the suction device for engaging the gripper of, for example, a remote-controlled hoist.
- the suction tank generally open at 1, consists of a base plate 2 and a cylindrical jacket 3 welded to it. At the upper, open end of the suction tank 1, the jacket 3 is provided with an annular inner shoulder 4 and several are distributed in its end face 5 on its circumference Threaded bolt 6 screwed up protruding.
- the suction device designed as a component is generally designated 7. It comprises an end flange with a central opening, shown here as a ring flange 8, the outside diameter of which corresponds to that of the cylindrical jacket 3 of the suction container and its peri Pherie gradations, which allows its fit into the inner shoulder 4 of the suction container 1 and thus the inclusion of sealing rings, not shown.
- the ring flange 8 also has bores 9 which are matched in terms of number, diameter and position to the threaded bolts 6 of the suction container 1.
- the flange ring serves as a carrier and holder for lines penetrating it, in particular a feed line 10 to the pump, a pressure line 11 from the pump, and for a cylindrical housing 12 for receiving the pump, as will be described in more detail below.
- the suction device known per se has ejectors, as well as flow openings 15 and 16 in the bottom or in the side wall of the housing 12 for the entry of the sucked liquid into the pump or for the exit of the pumped liquid from the pump.
- 8 hooks 18 are attached to the ring flange, to which the entire component formed by the suction device 7 just described can be attached, for example to the gripper 19 of a hoist, in order to be able to be inserted into the suction container 1, as shown in FIG. 2, until the Ring flange 8 rests on the end face 5 of the suction container 1, the threaded bolts 6 penetrating the bores 9 in the ring flange 8.
- nuts 20 which if necessary are screwed onto the threaded bolts 6 by remote-controlled manipulators,
- the suction device 7 can now be fixed coaxially in the suction container 1, as shown particularly clearly in FIG. 2. It can also be seen from this FIG.
- the interior of the housing 12 forms a cavity 21 which can accommodate the pump of the pump device according to the invention, which is generally designated 22.
- This is shown here as a canned motor pump, with a motor part 23 and a pump part 24, which are enclosed by a housing 25.
- a peripheral flange 26 is formed on the housing 25, the circumference of which has bores 27 which are matched in terms of number, diameter and position to the threaded bolts 17 of the ring flange 8 of the suction device.
- the motor-side closure of the housing 25 is formed by a detachably fastened cover 28, to which hooks 29 are fastened, to which the pump 22 can be attached, for example, to the gripper 19 of the hoist already used for manipulating the suction device, in order to be able to mount the pump device in the Cavity 21 of the already installed suction device 7 is lowered or lifted out of this operating position when dismantled.
- the peripheral flange 26 of the housing 25 rests on the inner edge of the opening of the ring flange 8 of the suction device, the threaded bolts 17 of the latter penetrating the bores 27.
- the pump 22 used can be screwed onto the projecting ends of these threaded bolts 17 by nuts 30 be fixed, with which the suction container 1 is completely closed at the top.
- the pump 22 When the pump 22 is inserted, its suction port 31 slides into the flow opening 15 of the suction device in a self-centering and self-sealing manner and the pressure outlets 32 of the pump 22 are located opposite the openings 16 in the casing of the housing 12.
- the pump part 24 could of course also be driven by a suitably sealed dry motor.
- the connecting elements shown here as bolts 6 and 17 and nuts 20 and 30 could be replaced by tension locks that are just as easily operated by manipulators.

Description
The invention relates to a self-priming pump device according to the preamble of claim 1.
Pumping devices are used in chemical engineering plants as well as in nuclear technology plants which are only partially or not directly accessible for safety reasons or for reasons of personal protection and which are also accessible for reasons of environmental protection but also to protect the liquids to be conveyed from the outside Influences are extremely high requirements regarding reliability and avoidance of leakage.
Particularly in process engineering plants in hot cells of nuclear technology, e.g. for chemical, mechanical and thermal processes and fuel processing, but also in process engineering plants that operate with valuable or highly sensitive or with dangerous, especially toxic, radioactive, explosive or easily flammable liquids, Pump devices are required, the maintenance of which including disassembly and assembly for repairs is possible without endangering the personnel, i.e. if necessary using remote-controlled manipulators, or which can be removed quickly and easily for this purpose and brought out of the danger zone for the work to be carried out and for which uncontrolled Loss of liquid cannot be accepted.
Within hot cells of nuclear technology, handling in connection with the maintenance of pump devices is of particular importance. If a pump device fails, the entire system may have to be shut down and extensive decontamination work must then be carried out. In cases in which the environment of the pumping device cannot be decontaminated to such an extent that the dose burden on the personnel employed for the repair is harmless, such maintenance work is very labor, material and time-consuming, quite apart from the economic consequences of long downtimes.
In addition, in the pump devices of the type mentioned at the outset used in such applications, the pump, the associated suction device with suction line, pressure line and ejectors for initiating the conveyance and finally the suction container are each arranged side by side on a base plate, which is a matter of special safety measures, e.g. to prevent leakage on fittings, flanges, pipes and the like.
The invention has for its object a pump device of the type mentioned in the preamble of Claim 1 to create, which can be disassembled and reassembled in the simplest way, particularly for repair or maintenance purposes, quickly and safely, also via remote-controlled manipulators, and in which, in addition, the risk that neighboring parts of the escaping conveying liquid due to defective fittings, flanges and the like Plant contaminated or contaminated by such is largely avoided.
The solution to this problem is specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.
First of all, the second part of the object on which the invention is based is achieved in that the pump and suction device, together with all the connections, etc., are accommodated in the suction container, through the upper end of which only the line leading to the pump and the line leading away from the pump enter or exit . Any leakage of the conveyed liquid at the connections of the intake connection, pressure connection, lines of the intake device etc. remains in the closed intake container. A first barrier for the retention of escaping liquid is thus integrated in the pump device. The pump itself is enclosed on all sides by the suction tank and therefore does not require any special containment. This is particularly important for the barrier security concept in nuclear technology.
The solution to the first part of the task defined above results from the fact that after solving the individual Components connecting elements, preferably these are screw connections or tension locks, which can be done by remote-controlled manipulators, e.g. impact wrenches or the like, without difficulty, the pump device can be disassembled, which in turn is possible using remote-controlled manipulators, e.g. lifting devices, first the pump and then the suction device is lifted up out of the suction tank. The reassembly is just as easy in the reverse order.
A particularly expedient embodiment of the suction device is characterized in
Advantageously, according to

The suction tank, generally open at 1, consists of a
The suction device designed as a component is generally designated 7. It comprises an end flange with a central opening, shown here as a
Instead of the canned motor pump used in the example shown, the
The mode of operation of self-priming pump devices of the type described is known per se and therefore need not be described in more detail here.
