Claims (6)

1. Depilating appliance comprising moving elements for plucking-out hairs to be removed, said elements being driven by an electric motor housed within a casing designed for holding in one hand, and which comprises a driving element subjected to a reciprocating movement of translation, characterized in that the hair-plucking elements consist of two combs which are mounted so as to be capable of translational motion along the same axis (X - Y) as the driving element (3) actuated by the motor and only one of which is coupled with the driving element whilst the other is mounted for free motion, the teeth of these two combs being disposed in the same plane and interengaged with a certain play between them.
2. Depilating appliance in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the two movable combs are formed by two superposed blades whose longitudinal edges located on the same side are cut-out so as to form the teeth of these two combs and are elbowed so as to ensure that these interengaged teeth are disposed in the same plane.
3. Depilating appliance in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that it comprises two pairs of movable combs which are formed by two superposed blades (4, 5), the longitudinal edges of which are cut-out on each side so as to form the teeth (4a, 5a and 4b, 5b) of the two pairs of combs and are elbowed so as to ensure that the interengaged teeth of each comb are disposed in the same plane.
4. Depilating appliance in accordance with claim 2 or claim 3, characterized in that the two superposed blades (4, 5) which carry the movable combs are guided in their movement by guiding surfaces provided respectively on the casing (1) of the appliance and on a fixed top protective cover (6).

Depilating appliance in accordance with one of the preceding claims, characterized in that provision is made on each side of the free-motion comb for springs (12) which brake the displacements of this latter and thus ensure effective clamping of the hairs to be plucked-out, between the interengaged teeth of the combs.
6. Work head for a depilating appliance in accordance with one of the preceding claims and in which the elements for plucking-out hairs to be removed are intended to be actuated by a driving element subjected to a reciprocating movement of translation, characterized in that said plucking-out elements consist of two combs which are mounted so as to be capable of translational mo- tion along the same axis (X-Y) as the driving element (3) actuated by the motor and the teeth (4a, 5a or 4b, 5b) of which are interengaged with a certain play, these latter being disposed at right angles with respect to the axis (X - Y) of displacement of the two combs, only one of these latter being provided with means for coupling with the driving element (7) whilst the other is mounted for free motion.
