Description

The invention relates to a method for operating a household dishwasher, which can be operated with programs that can be selected from the sub-programs cleaning, intermediate rinsing, rinsing and drying, wherein in the sub-programs cleaning, intermediate rinsing and rinsing, the liquid quantities present in the sump of the washing container are supplied with spray devices by means of a circulation pump and are circulated while the dishes are loaded, the amounts of liquid being heated and admixed with additives in the sub-programs cleaning and rinsing. The usual household dishwashers on the market can be operated using this method.

Proposals are known for the environmentally friendly operation of these machines, which aim to make the washing programs run more water and energy-saving.

To reduce the heating energy for heating the washing liquors, a method for washing dishes is known (DE-OS 32 45 145), in which, after a last washing cycle carried out with heated water, heated air is passed over the dishes to dry and the water vapor from the Rinsing container is discharged in such a way that a rinse aid is added to the water in the last rinse, that the water is then only heated to a temperature of about 45 ° C, at which foaming of the rinse aid is safely avoided and that afterwards the heated air is passed through the rinsing container. According to this procedure, the amount of water required for distributing the rinse aid, in contrast to the above-mentioned rinsing methods usually used in the dishwashers on the market, is not raised to approx. 70 ° C, but only to a temperature of approx. 45 ° C heated up. After spraying the dishes with the rinse aid water heated to 45 ° C, a pumping process follows, at the beginning of which warm air should already be introduced. Without DE-OS 32 45 145 providing information about where the heating of the heated air to be introduced into the washing container when the rinse aid water is being pumped out, which is taken from the installation space of the dishwasher, it is emphasized that in this procedure for heating the air from the installation room until the dishes are blown dry requires a smaller amount of heat than is required to heat the water in the rinse cycle to a temperature of up to 70 ° C, if the dishes are dried in a static manner - without forced air circulation and without heated air - is carried out. The warmed, drying air stream should first hit the dishes to be dried and only then sweep the water surface over the bottom of the washing container so that the drying air is saturated with moisture as soon as the dishes are swept over. Additional heating for the dry air and a blower are obviously absolutely necessary to carry out this method.

The invention has for its object to avoid this additional effort in a household dishwasher and to tackle a method according to which a household dishwasher operates with little effort to save energy can be without the washing and drying result is adversely affected.

This object is achieved in a method of the type mentioned in that the amount of rinse water mixed with a rinse aid is heated to a temperature of about 50 ° C and is circulated to the dishes on the sprayer that the rinse water volume after reaching the rinse water temperature is pumped out of the rinsing tank and that a heater provided for heating the amount of liquid in the rinse sub-program is then operated in cycles until a drying temperature of about 60 ° C. is reached.

While in the known household dishwashers according to the rinse-aid program section, when the heat transfer required to dry the dishes has taken place via the circulated amount of rinse-aid water, the hot amount of rinse-aid water flows from the washing-up container into the waste water line at a temperature of about 70 ° C., according to the invention The environment and the drainage system are only burdened with an approx. 50 ° C wash liquor. Heating to the lower rinse water temperature saves energy and time, and the heating time saved after pumping out the rinse water is also available for drying when the water heater is cycled. This enables improved, effective dish drying without additional heating and without a fan at low machine costs, whereby the final temperature during drying can be reduced to approx. 60 ° C.

The above-described object is achieved according to an advantageous procedure in a method of the type mentioned at the outset in that the amount of rinse water is circulated during heating to about 50.degree is circulated for about two minutes and then pumped out, and then a heater provided for heating the amount of liquid in the rinse sub-program is operated intermittently until a final drying temperature of about 60 ° C. is reached.

It is also possible that the circulation pump is switched on during drying during the cyclical operation of the heating for circulating the drying air.

In the drawing, a program section comprising cleaning, rinsing, rinsing and drying is shown in a diagram with the temperature profile plotted over time.

The temperature curve shown begins in the cleaning sub-program with an increasing temperature section 1 until a cleaning temperature of approx. 65 ° is reached. During the time for this temperature section, the one located near the bottom of the washing compartment of the domestic dishwasher is e.g. electrical heating consisting of a loop-shaped tubular heating element is switched on and the cleaning liquid mixed with cleaning agent is circulated by the running circulation pump via the spraying devices. At the time of the cleaning temperature of 65 ° C, a thermostat responds and switches off the heating, while the circulation pump continues to run for a period of 2 and is then switched off before or during pumping down or together with the drain pump. This is followed, for example, by a first and a second intermediate rinse 3, 4.

In one exemplary embodiment of the method according to claim 1, a water supply, switching on the heating, switching on the circulating pump and metering in of a rinsing agent then follow for the sub-program rinse 5. The heater is operated continuously during a heating step 6 until a rinse liquid temperature of approximately 50 ° C. is reached. In the exemplary embodiment, at a constant temperature, the circulation pump is operated for a period of about 7 minutes for distributing the rinsing liquid mixed with the rinse aid onto the dishes. The rinse aid liquor is then pumped out. In the drying sub-program 8, the water heater, which is also effective as radiant heating, is operated intermittently until a final drying temperature of approximately 60 ° C. is reached. The associated temperature profile is designated 9.

In one embodiment of claim 2, the rinse 5 subroutine is followed by a water supply, switching on the heating, switching on the circulation pump. The heater is operated continuously during a heating step 6 until a rinse liquid temperature of approximately 50 ° C. is reached. When the rinse aid liquid temperature is reached, the rinse aid is added. In the exemplary embodiment, the circulation pump is operated for a period 7 of approximately two minutes at approximately the same temperature, in order to distribute the rinsing liquid mixed with the rinse aid to the dishes. The rinse aid liquor is then pumped out. In the drying sub-program 8, the water heating, which is also effective as radiant heating, is operated intermittently until a final drying temperature of approximately 60 ° C. is reached. The associated temperature profile is designated 9.
