Definitions
- the invention is directed to a cleaning system for toilet bowls with a cleaning container which can be attached to the edge thereof and which holds a cleaning agent which is provided with correspondingly arranged openings for flushing with part of the flushing water.
- toilet hygiene basket-like containers with inserted, usually extruded, cleaning and / or fragrant active ingredient are used.
- a toilet basin stone can be placed on the side wall of the basin below its edge with the aid of a fastening bracket that has a shape corresponding to the basin edge. Due to the water flow entering the toilet bowl during flushing, i.e. by emptying the water tank or by actuating the pressure washer, the toilet bowl stone is activated, i.e. superficially dissolved. The water flowing through the detergent container that holds the stone, usually a so-called toilet basket, is mixed with an active ingredient solution.
- a toilet cleaning agent to be used in a cleaning container of the aforementioned type is known, which is to be introduced into the cage-like container in lumpy form.
- the toilet cleaning agent is preferably used in granular form, that is to say with a very large surface area.
- the individual pieces of granulate should be between about 0.5 and 10 g, preferably between 0.1 and 2 g. These granules have diameters between 2 and 8 mm. Granulate pieces produced by extrusion have a circular or oval cross section and should be cut to such lengths that the ratio of length to largest diameter is between 1 and 2.
- toilet bowls designed for granular toilet cleaning agents are offered according to various aspects.
- toilet baskets open at the top which are primarily designed for refilling by consumers. When used, however, the refill opening is covered by the edge of the toilet bowl and thus the free access is considerably impaired.
- the object of the invention is to provide a cleaning system which enables a clean and spill-proof refilling of the cleaning container with granular active ingredient without skin contact with the cleaning container and / or the granulate being necessary.
- the cleaning container should be constructed so that its contents are largely inaccessible to children at risk of age despite the refillability in the functional position.
- this object is achieved according to the invention in that the cleaning container with a closable filling opening adapted mouth of a refill can be used such that in the Refill container, pourable, in particular granular detergent, can be poured into the cleaning container by opening and keeping the closure of the filling opening open, without any other manipulation of the cleaning container closure, and then the refilling container can be removed from the filling opening again by automatically closing the closure.
- the invention provides that the closure of the cleaning container has a flap that can be pivoted in the opening direction against an elastic restoring force by pushing the mouth of the refill container inward about an upper horizontal hinge axis.
- This ensures a safe and problem-free automatic reclosing of the filler opening, since after removing the mouth of the refill container the closure closes the filler opening again due to the elastic restoring force.
- this closure prevents the penetration of foreign bodies into the cleaning container and thus an incorrect combination with chemically incompatible products, e.g. B. with toilet cleaner, preventing and at the same time making product accessibility for children more difficult, as already described above.
- the closure of the filling opening therefore has the function of a shut-off valve which only allows product flow in the direction into the basket and only if and for as long as the mouth of the refill container is pushed in.
- the flap is made in one piece with the cleaning container from elastic plastic, as is further provided by the invention, it being particularly expedient if a film hinge is formed between the flap and the cleaning container according to another invention .
- the restoring force of the flap is predetermined by the spring characteristic of the film hinge.
- the invention provides that the film hinge at the same time has openings controlling the flow of the fragrance to adjust the size of the elastic restoring force.
- a particularly favorable handling of the cleaning system results when the filler opening and the closure flap of the cleaning container differ from the upper horizontal
- the triangle-shaped hinge axis tapers towards the fifth, as is also provided by the invention.
- the invention provides in a further embodiment that an outward projection arranged at the mouth of the refilling container can be hooked into the lower opening of the filling opening in such a way that when the refilling container is subsequently pivoted up around the lower end of the filling opening on both sides regions of the mouth formed in the projection pivot the closure flap of the filling opening inwards so far that the cleaning agent located in the refill container falls freely from the closure flap into the cleaning container.
- This configuration also helps to ensure that the refills are spill-proof, ie. H. can be carried out without product loss.
- the invention further provides that the end of the filler opening and the inside of the mouth wall in the region of the projection be matched to one another Curves with a radius that corresponds to two to five times the granule radius are formed.
- the refilling of the cleaning container is further facilitated in accordance with a further invention in that the surface area of the cleaning container facing the interior of the toilet bowl protrudes inward beyond the edge of the toilet bowl and has surface areas arranged like truncated pyramids, wherein the upper surface area is designed as a filler opening that can be closed with the flap.
- the invention also provides that the side surfaces of the mouth of the refill container run straight in some areas, at an angle to the end region of the filler opening of the cleaning container, towards the rounding of the mouth and their edge surfaces between the rounding and the lateral boundary of the mouth have incisions. This configuration further improves the interaction of the flap closing the cleaning container with the mouth of the refill container in the sense of the stripping effect described above.
- the cleaning container 1 schematically shows a cleaning container, generally designated 1, in its use and functional position on the edge of the toilet bowl 2.
- the cleaning container 1 is attached to the toilet bowl edge 2 with the aid of a clamp 3.
- the clamping bracket 3 encompasses the edge of the toilet bowl 2 and is attached to the rear 4 of the cleaning container 2.
- the cleaning container 1 has a flat top 5, which is arranged in the use and functional position at the level of the top 6 of the toilet bowl rim 2.
- 5 side surfaces 7 and 8 adjoin the upper side, which have a wall in the lower region which is permeable to the rinsing water.
- the side surfaces for this purpose have ribs 9 and wall openings or openings 10.
- the dimension of the rib space or the like sieve width should correspond to about half of the granule diameter. With this dimension ratio, on the one hand an optimal fragrance radiation and product rinsing is achieved, on the other hand, due to the property of the product particles to stick together during the rinsing process, no undissolved product particles are washed away.
- the rear side 4 of the cleaning container 1 is further shaped to expand the container interior 11 in such a way that it extends below the upper edge of the toilet bowl in the rear area of the cleaning container 1 to the toilet bowl inner wall 12.
- the side of the cleaning container 1 oriented toward the interior of the toilet bowl is formed by side surfaces 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 which converge towards one another in the manner of a truncated pyramid.
- a filling funnel designated overall by 18, is formed, the upper surface 16 being designed as a filling opening 19.
- the hopper 18 is preferably produced in one piece with the cleaning container 1.
- the cleaning container 1 can first be shaped in the form of two half-shells connected by a film hinge (not shown) and folded into the final basket shape when used or filled. In the functional and use position, the fill opening 19 is closed with a flap 20.
- the clap 20 is integrally formed on the top 5 of the cleaning container 1 via a film hinge 21.
- the flap 20 is pressed in the closed position against the inner edge 22 (FIG. 2) of the filling funnel surface 15 delimiting the lower region of the filling opening 19.
- the film hinge 21 provides the necessary elastic restoring force. Furthermore, the film hinge 21 has openings 23 for setting the desired restoring force and for producing a chimney-like effect for controlling the direction of the fragrance flow.
- the filling opening 19 of the filling funnel 18 is designed as an approximately triangular hole in the main surface 16 facing the interior of the toilet bowl. This triangular hole takes up the full width of the main surface 16 at the edge between the upper side 5 and the main surface 16 facing towards the inside of the pool and tapers from top to bottom until it ends in a curve 24.
- Such an approximately triangular fill opening 19 can be easily operated with a refill container having a suitable mouth.
- the cleaning container 1 is shaped so that when it is clamped by means of the clamp 3 in its functional and use position it lies against the inside of the rim of the toilet bowl and can be refilled through the filling opening 19 of the funnel 18 from above without touching it.
- the cleaning container 1 is essentially in the form of a cuboid base body with the narrow side surfaces 5, 7 and 8, on which the filling funnel 18 is shaped like a truncated pyramid toward the toilet interior and a bulbous shape 25 is formed onto the inside of the toilet bowl.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 The mode of operation of the filling opening 19 with a lid flap 20 is evident from FIGS. 2 and 3. Normally - not during refilling - the flap 20 is pressed against the inner edge 22 of the filling opening 19 by the restoring force of the film hinge 21. 3, a mouth 26 of a refill container, not shown, which is adapted to the filling opening 19 and its flap 20, is inserted into the filling opening 19 such that the flap 20 is pressed inwards (shown in broken lines in FIG. 2) and at corresponding tilting of the refill container granular product 27 can fall into the cleaning container 1.
- the flap 20 follows automatically the retracted mouth, such that when the container or the mouth 26 tilts in the direction of arrow 28 about a horizontal axis lying approximately in the front main surface 16 facing the interior of the toilet bowl and at the same time pulling out the mouth 26 from the filling opening 19, product flowing through the flap 20 is stripped.
- an attachment, generally designated 29, for a refill container which forms the mouth 26 of the refill container.
- the attachment 29 is provided with a screw thread 30 for screwing onto the refill container.
- the mouth 26 is formed similar to a hollow truncated cone with incisions 31, 32 and 33 in the mouth wall, the mouth wall 34 facing the filling funnel 18 in the case of refilling being less inclined towards the mouth 35 than the opposite mouth wall 36
- Mouth wall 34 is formed in the upper region an outwardly projecting nose or pin 37. This projection 37 is dimensioned such that it can be suspended in the end region of the filling opening 19, ie in the region of the rounding 24, and when the mouth 26 tilts in the direction of the filling opening 19 it bears against the inner wall region 22 of the filling funnel surface 15.
- the mouth wall 34 in this area is designed as a curve 38 such that this area of the container wall 34 can be inserted into the curve 24 of the filling opening 19 in a substantially positive manner.
- the side surfaces 39 and 40 of the mouth 26 are also straight and run at an angle to the curve 38 which corresponds to the angle in the area of the curve 24 of the filler opening 19, which through the curve 24 from the top 5 of the refill container 1 tapered edges of the time areas 14 and 17 is formed.
- the walls of the side surfaces 39 and 40 thus run underneath the above-described angle starting from the curve 38 toward the side regions 41 and 42 of the mouth 26.
- the wall 34 in the transition to the side regions 41 and 42 each has the incisions 31 and 32, after which the mouth wall 34 rises to its highest regions 41 and 42.
- the mouth wall 36 adjoins in a semicircle, which, compared to the curve 38, has the incision 33, in the area of which the upper edge of the mouth wall 36 is significantly lower than the upper edge of the mouth wall 34 in the area of the incisions 31, 32.
- the handle 29 also integrally formed grip cams 43.
- both the curve 38 and the curve 24 have a raidus which corresponds to two to five times the average radius of the granules to be filled into the cleaning container 1 by means of the mouth 26.
- the cleaning system described above is preferably matched to a granulate, as is known from DE 34 24 317. Such granules have a diameter between 2 and 8 mm.
- the attachment 29 is designed as a well adapted to the triangular fill opening 19 with the chute closing this flap due to the contoured design of the mouth 26.
- the plug 37 is first hooked into the rounding 24, due to the length of the projection 37 an easy opening already takes place by pivoting the flap 20 inwards.
- the flap 20 is pivoted further inward and the filling opening 19 is thus sufficiently exposed. In this process lie down the areas 41 and 42 on the surface of the flap 20. Due to the incisions 31 and 32, a sufficient product flow from the mouth 26 into the cleaning container 1 is possible in this position.
- the incisions 31 and 32 are preferably designed in such a way that the mouth 26 is open in their area over approximately a third of their overall length.
- the term overall length is intended to refer to the height of the mouth walls 34 and 36 measured from the side areas 41 and 42 to the base of the cylindrical disk-shaped area having the screw thread 30.
- the flap 20 can also rest against the mouth wall 36 in the rear region of the mouth 26. In this case, when the mouth 26 is pulled back, a stripping effect is achieved due to the elastic restoring force of the flap 20, which causes product still in the mouth 26 to either fall back into the refill container or to be moved into the cleaning container.
- the mouth 26 of the refill container containing the granules 27 to be refilled is designed such that the latter can be inserted into the filler opening of the cleaning container in the form of an adapter.
- the filling opening 19 is automatically closed again by the flap 20 after the mouth 26 has been pulled out completely. As long as the mouth 26 is immersed in the filling opening 19, there is sufficient pouring opening for refilling the granules 27.
- the restoring force of the flap 20 is preferably predetermined by the spring characteristic of the film hinge 21.
- the flap of the filling opening therefore has the function of a shut-off valve which only allows product flow in the direction into the cleaning container and only if and as long as the mouth of the refilling container is pushed in.
- All surfaces of the cleaning container 1 are essentially designed as smooth surfaces, which counteracts the risk of contamination during prolonged use in the toilet bowl and the surfaces are easy to clean.

Description
The invention is directed to a cleaning system for toilet bowls with a cleaning container which can be attached to the edge thereof and which holds a cleaning agent which is provided with correspondingly arranged openings for flushing with part of the flushing water.
In so-called toilet hygiene, basket-like containers with inserted, usually extruded, cleaning and / or fragrant active ingredient are used. Such a toilet basin stone can be placed on the side wall of the basin below its edge with the aid of a fastening bracket that has a shape corresponding to the basin edge.
From DE-OS 34 24 317 a toilet cleaning agent to be used in a cleaning container of the aforementioned type is known, which is to be introduced into the cage-like container in lumpy form. For an optimal release of active ingredient into the water flowing through the container and to facilitate the release of fragrance into the ambient air, the toilet cleaning agent is preferably used in granular form, that is to say with a very large surface area.
The individual pieces of granulate should be between about 0.5 and 10 g, preferably between 0.1 and 2 g. These granules have diameters between 2 and 8 mm. Granulate pieces produced by extrusion have a circular or oval cross section and should be cut to such lengths that the ratio of length to largest diameter is between 1 and 2.
In the trade, toilet bowls designed for granular toilet cleaning agents are offered according to various aspects. On the one hand, there are completely closed containers, which are usually designed for single use. The inaccessibility to children is particularly emphasized in this form of presentation. On the other hand, there are also toilet baskets open at the top, which are primarily designed for refilling by consumers. When used, however, the refill opening is covered by the edge of the toilet bowl and thus the free access is considerably impaired.
The object of the invention is to provide a cleaning system which enables a clean and spill-proof refilling of the cleaning container with granular active ingredient without skin contact with the cleaning container and / or the granulate being necessary. Weiterhim the cleaning container should be constructed so that its contents are largely inaccessible to children at risk of age despite the refillability in the functional position.
In the cleaning system of the type mentioned, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the cleaning container with a closable filling opening adapted mouth of a refill can be used such that in the Refill container, pourable, in particular granular detergent, can be poured into the cleaning container by opening and keeping the closure of the filling opening open, without any other manipulation of the cleaning container closure, and then the refilling container can be removed from the filling opening again by automatically closing the closure.
Because of the design according to the invention, an optimal interaction of the cleaning container and the refilling container is made possible, thereby ensuring a clean and spill-proof refilling of the cleaning container. The cleaning container must be refilled without contact in the toilet bowl - i.e. without skin contact with the cleaning container or the product. The automatic reclosing of the filler opening ensures that the contents of the cleaning container are largely inaccessible to children of the vulnerable age despite the refillability in the functional position.
In an embodiment, the invention provides that the closure of the cleaning container has a flap that can be pivoted in the opening direction against an elastic restoring force by pushing the mouth of the refill container inward about an upper horizontal hinge axis. This ensures a safe and problem-free automatic reclosing of the filler opening, since after removing the mouth of the refill container the closure closes the filler opening again due to the elastic restoring force. Furthermore, this closure prevents the penetration of foreign bodies into the cleaning container and thus an incorrect combination with chemically incompatible products, e.g. B. with toilet cleaner, preventing and at the same time making product accessibility for children more difficult, as already described above.
When inserting and withdrawing the mouth of the refill container into or out of the basket opening, inevitable movement cooperation results in a stripping effect due to the predetermined elastic restoring force of the closure in connection with the geometry of the mouth of the refill container, which also counteracts spillage of granules. In this system, the closure of the filling opening therefore has the function of a shut-off valve which only allows product flow in the direction into the basket and only if and for as long as the mouth of the refill container is pushed in.
For the manufacture of the cleaning container according to the invention, it is also advantageous if the flap is made in one piece with the cleaning container from elastic plastic, as is further provided by the invention, it being particularly expedient if a film hinge is formed between the flap and the cleaning container according to another invention .
Advantageously, it is then provided according to a further invention that the restoring force of the flap is predetermined by the spring characteristic of the film hinge.
In an embodiment, the invention provides that the film hinge at the same time has openings controlling the flow of the fragrance to adjust the size of the elastic restoring force.
A particularly favorable handling of the cleaning system results when the filler opening and the closure flap of the cleaning container differ from the upper horizontal The triangle-shaped hinge axis tapers towards the fifth, as is also provided by the invention.
In order to facilitate the refilling of the cleaning container, the invention provides in a further embodiment that an outward projection arranged at the mouth of the refilling container can be hooked into the lower opening of the filling opening in such a way that when the refilling container is subsequently pivoted up around the lower end of the filling opening on both sides regions of the mouth formed in the projection pivot the closure flap of the filling opening inwards so far that the cleaning agent located in the refill container falls freely from the closure flap into the cleaning container. This configuration also helps to ensure that the refills are spill-proof, ie. H. can be carried out without product loss.
In order to ensure that the granular cleaning agent normally located in the refill container slips out easily and to prevent the refill container from clogging and the mouth of the refill container, the invention further provides that the end of the filler opening and the inside of the mouth wall in the region of the projection be matched to one another Curves with a radius that corresponds to two to five times the granule radius are formed.
The refilling of the cleaning container is further facilitated in accordance with a further invention in that the surface area of the cleaning container facing the interior of the toilet bowl protrudes inward beyond the edge of the toilet bowl and has surface areas arranged like truncated pyramids, wherein the upper surface area is designed as a filler opening that can be closed with the flap.
Finally, the invention also provides that the side surfaces of the mouth of the refill container run straight in some areas, at an angle to the end region of the filler opening of the cleaning container, towards the rounding of the mouth and their edge surfaces between the rounding and the lateral boundary of the mouth have incisions. This configuration further improves the interaction of the flap closing the cleaning container with the mouth of the refill container in the sense of the stripping effect described above.

The filling
The mode of operation of the filling
Schließlich sind an dem Aufsatz 29 noch Griffnocken 43 angeformt.4 to 6, an attachment, generally designated 29, for a refill container is shown, which forms the
Furthermore, both the
Overall, the
If the tilting movement of the
The
All surfaces of the cleaning
In particular, it makes sense to load the cleaning system described above with spherical granules.
