Description
- Cette invention concerne und grenade télescopique du type ayant une tête prolongée par une queue tubulaire contenant une charge explosive ainsi qu'une chaîne de mise à feu de cette dernière et dans laquelle ladite queue est réalisée en deux parties tubulaires télescopiques dont l'une est solidaire de ladite tête et porte avec cette dernière deux parties tubulaires télescopiques dont l'une est solidaire de ladite tête et porte avec cette dernière deux parties de ladite chaîne de mise à feu et dont l'autre partie tubulaire, mobile, porte la partie restante de cette dernière, cette grenade étant pourvue de moyens de guidage comprennant au moins une rainure prolongée par une rainure courbe et un doigt répartis d'une part sur ladite partie tubulaire mobile et d'autre part sur le tout formé par la tête et la partie tubulaire solidaire de la tête afin d'assigner une position angulaire à ces parties tubulaires en fonction de leur position axiale relative, la partie mobile de la queue comportant vers son extrémité avant un élément portant le doigt coopérant avec les rainures et portant la partie de la chaîne de mise à feu portée par cette partie mobile, la queue comportant également un élement de sécurité pouvant être mis hors jeu, limitant le mouvement de la partie mobile de la queue lors de l'allongement de la queue et étant mis hors jeu lors du lancement de la grenade, la grenade présentant des moyens limitant le mouvement de la partie mobile de la queue vers ladite tête.
- Une grenade de ce type est décrite dans US-A-4 448 129. Dans cette grenade les moyens de guidage comprennent deux rainures longitudinales et une rainure en oblique reliant ces rainures dans la partie tubulaire qui est solidaire de la tête, le doigt fixé sur la partie mobile de la queue traversant une des rainures longitudinales lors du prolongement de la queue avant le lancement. Un élément de sécurité limite ce prolongement, cet élément de sécurité étant déformè et mis hors jeu lors du lancement par l'accélération de la tête et de la partie tubulaire solidaire avec elle par rapport à la partie mobile. Par cette déformation de doigt peut passer de la rainure susdite à l'autre rainure longitudinale portant à l'avant une partie courbe. Le doigt traverse cette dernière rainure lorsque les parties de la queue s'emboîtent directement après le lancement. Due la partie courbe de la rainure une rotation de la partie mobile par rapport à l'autre partie et par conséquent un alignement de la chaîne de mise à feu ont lieu. Une projection dans la partie courbe de la rainure limite l'emboîtement jusqu'au moment de l'impact.
- Qouique ces projectiles connus sont très efficaces, la présente invention concerne un tel projectile présentant des advantages considérables, s'ajoutant aux avantages des projectiles déjà connus. En particulier, l'invention a pour but de procurer une grenade très faible, insensible aux chocs avec une charge explosive très simple en robuste et permettant aisément d'obtenir une sensibilité à l'impact contrôlable et une sécurité de début de trajectoire.
- Dans ce but, l'élément portant le doigt est un boîtier qui est immobilisé sur la partie mobile de la queue par des moyens pouvant être mis hors jeu sous l'effet des gaz de propulsion, le boîtier étant axialement coulissable sur la partie mobile une fois que les moyens susdits immobilisant le boîtier ont été mis hors jeu et les moyens limitant le mouvement jusqu'au moment de l'impact tout en laissant passer le boîtier dans sa position coulissée et les parties de la queue sont pourvues d'un chemin pour les gaz de propulsion reliant en position allongée de la queue l'intérieur de la partie mobile de la queue et une chambre circulaire formée entre le boîtier et la partie mobile et limitée par une partie du boîtier à l'avant et une partie de la partie mobile à l'arrière, les gaz de propulsion atteingant par ce chemin la chambre occasionnant une translation axaile du boîtier par rapport à la partie mobile de la queue et en même temps la mise hors jeu des moyens immobilisant le boîtier.
- Dans une forme de réalisation particulier de l'invention, la grenade présente des moyens déterminant la position exacte relative des parties de la queue allongée, ces moyens consistant en au moins un chambre radiale prévue dans un manchon formant l'extrémité arrière de la partie solidaire de la tête, cette chambre formant logement pour une bille sollicitée par un ressort ladite bille pouvant coopére avec une encoche prévue à cette fin dans la paroi intérieure de ladite partie mobile de la queue.
- Dans une forme de réalisation de l'invention appliquée de préférence la grenade présente des moyens empêchant une détonation intempestive, ces moyens consistant en une butée contre laquelle le boîtier en position coulissée par rapport à la partie mobile peut s'appuyer, cette butée étant sollicitée par un ressort dont la tension est déterminante pour la résistance à recontrer par le projectile avant que la pointe de percussion faisant partie de la chaîne de mise fue puisse pénétrer dans le détonateur.
- Pour plus de clarté, un exemple de réalisation de l'invention est décrit ci-après, à titre illustratif et non restrictif, avec référence aux dessins annexés, dans lesquels:
- la figure 1 représente un projectile selon l'invention en position de stockage et de transport;
- la figure 2 représente la projectile selon la figure 1 en position de lancement, c.à.d. avant le tir;
- la figure 3 représente une coupe, à échelle agrandie, selon la ligne III-III de la figure 2;
- la figure 4 représente, à échelle agrandie, la partie indiquée en F4 à la figure 2;
- les figures 5 et 6 représentent des coupes selon les lignes V-V et VI-VI de la figure 4;
- la figure 7 représente le projectile selon la figure 1 en position lancée, c.à.d. après le tir mais avant l'impact, plus spécialement selon la ligne VII-VII de la figure 1;
- la figure 8 représente une coupe selon la ligne VIII-VIII de la figure 7;
- la figure 9 représente, à échelle agrandie et en coupe, la partie indiquée en F9 à la figure 7.
- la figure 10 est une vue semblable à celle de la figure 4, mais pour une variante d'exécution;
- la figure 11 représente une variante d'exécution de la figure 2.
- Le projectile représenté dans les figures comporte une tête 1 et une queue tubulaire télescopique 2 avec empennage 3. La queue 2 est réalisée en deux parties 4-5 dont la partie 4 est solidaire de la tête 1 et dont la partie 5 peut coulisser autour de la première. La tête 1 présente à l'intérieur un plateau 6 pourvu d'une point de percussion 7 et un dispositif 8 empêchant une détonation involontaire. La tête 1 est fixée sur l'extrémité d'un fourreau 9 dont l'autre extrémité est pourvue d'u manchon 10.
- Autour du fourreau 9 et entre le plateau 6 et le manchon 10 est prévu un corps 11 constituant la charge explosive du projectile. Ce corps 11 présente une seule rainure longitudinale 12 se prolongeant, en son extrémité la plus voisine de la tête 1, par une partie courbe 13.
- Avec la rainure 12-13 coopère un doigt 14 fixé dans un boîtier 15 monté de manière axialement coulissable sur la partie 5 de la queue 2.
- Entre les deux parties 4-5 est formée une chambre 16 dans laquelle est logé un ressort 17 agissant contre un épaulement 18 du manchon 10. Ce dernier présente une rainure circulaire 19 communiquant, dans la position de la figure 2, avec des trous radiaux 20 prévus dans ladite partie 5 et communiquant eux-mêmes avec une chambre circulaire 21 dans le boîtier 15. Dans la rainure 19 débouchent deux rainures 22 reliant la rainure 19 avec l'intérieur de ladite partie 5. Le manchon 10 présente deux chambres radiales 23-24 logeant, chacune, une bille 25 sollicitée par un ressort 26.
- Ladite partie 5 de la queue 2 présente deux encoches 27-28 avec laquelle les billes 25 peuvent coopérer.
- Le boîtier 15 est fixé sur ladite partie 5 au moyen d'une cuvette déformable 29 permettant, après déformation, une translation du boîtier 15 par rapport à la partie 5. Dans une rainure du boîtier 15 est montée une bague élastique de verrouillage 36 qui peut coopérer avec une rainure 37 dans la partie 5.
- La chaîne pyrotechnique de mise à feu comprend la pointe de percussion 7, un détonateur 30 et un relais 31 enfoncé dans ladite charge explosive 11. La pointe de percussion 7 ainsi que le relais 31 font partie de la tête 1, tandis que le détonateur 30 est logé dans une encoche du boîtier 15 qui, à son tour, fait partie de la queue tubulaire télescopique 2.
- Ledit dispositif 8 empêchant une détonation intempestive du projectile en vol est constitué par un amortisseur 32 dont l'amortissement est déterminé par un ressort 33.
- Enfin, la tête 1 est prolongée par un tube de protection 34 pour la charge explosive 11.
- Le projectile susdécrit s'utilise et fonctionne de la manière suivante.
- Dans la position de stockage-transport (figure 1), la partie 5 avec le boîtier 15 occupe une position angulaire par rapport à la tête 1 et la partie 4 d'une telle manière que la pointe 7 est désalignée par rapport au détonateur 30, tout mouvement relatif de la partie 5 par rapport à la tête 1 étant empêché par le contact d'un prolongement 35 contre le plateau 6. Le prolongement 35 peut être fixé soit sur ladite partie 5, soit sur le plateau 6.
- Pour amener le projectile en position de tir (figure 2), une traction est exercée sur la partie 5. Le doigt 14 parcourt la rainure 12 jusqu'au moment où les billes 25 s'engagent dans les encoches 27-28, déterminant ainsi la position relative exacte des parties 4 et 5. Dans cette position le ressort 17 est sous tension.
- Le projectile est prêt à être engagé sur le manchon à l'extrémité du canon d'un fusil utilisé pour son lancement.
- Lors du lancement, les gaz propulsifs entrent, par les rainures 22, dans la rainure circulaire 19 et, ainsi, par les trous 20 dans la rainure 21. Par l'effet des gaz propulsifs sur les parois de cette rainure 21, le boîtier 15, en déformant la cuvette 29, se déplace par rapport à la partie 5. En fin de course la bague élastique 36 tombe dans la rainure 37, assurant ainsi le verrouillage du boîtier 15 par rapport à la partie 5. En même temps, sous l'action de gaz propulsifs, les billes 25 se déplacent dans les deux chambres radiales 23-24 contre l'effort des ressorts 26, ces derniers subissant une déformation telle qu'ils deviennent inopérants.
- Après que la grenade a quitté le manchon du fusil, les parties 4-5 du projectile s'emboîtent, conjointement avec l'action de détente du ressort 17 et les forces aérodynamiques, pendant que le doigt 14 parcourt d'abord la rainure 12, puis la rainure 13.
- Lorsque le doigt 14 pénètre dans la rainure 13, il entraîne la rotation de la partie 5 par rapport à l'ensemble 1-4. Le projectile est maintenant dans la position de la figure 7 dans laquelle la chaîne pyrotechnique est alignée.
- Dans cette position le dispositif 8 empêche toute progression ultérieure de la partie 5 jusqu'à l'impact. En effet, le ressort 33 est calculé pour éviter une détonation intempestive, par exemple par le contact du projectile avec de la pluie tropicale, etc.
- Lors de l'impact, la masse élevée de la partie 5 est mise en mouvement et communique toute son énergie au détonateur lorsque celui-ci frappe le percuteur 7.
- Il est à remarquer que la sécurité du débit de trajectoire du projectile selon l'invention est contrôlable par la présence du tube 34 avec lequel le boîtier 15 coopère. En effet, pendant le cheminement de ce dernier dans le tube 34, il y travaille comme un dash-pot, freinant en quelque sortie ledit cheminement en évacuant par un orifice calibré l'air présent dans le volume libre 38, ce dernier étant créé lorsque le projectile est en position représenté par la figure 2. L'orifice calibré peut être réalisé par le jeu radial entre de diamètre extérieur du boîtier 15 et le diamètre intérieur du tube 34.
- Dans une réalisation préférentielle, lesdits ressorts 26 seront calculés d'une telle manière qu'ils restent déformés après lancement du projectile afin d'éviter tout frottement des billes 25 sur la paroi interne de la partie 5.
- Comme représenté dans les dessins, une charge d'appoint 40 peut être logée dans le volume libre constitué par le bouchon passe-balle 41 et le manchon 10.
- La figure 10 montre une exécution dans laquelle est interposé, entre les ressorts 26, un barreau 39 réalisé en une matière frangible pouvant être détruite par le passage de la balle afin de faire disparaître le support des ressorts 26.
- La figure 11 représente une exécution dans laquelle la rainure 12 est prévue dans le tube 34, tandis que la rainure 13 est prévue dans un prolongement 42 du plateau 6.
