Abstract

Composite sections consisting of a metal part (6) connected to a non-metallic part (8) with intermediate heat-insulating parts (7) located between. The heat-insulating part (7) is firmly connected to the non-metallic part (8) by positive engagement and pressure. This pressure effects, a firm clamping action when the positively engaging parts (6, 7) are brought close together (fig. 2), at right-angles to the longitudinal direction of the latter, by plastic deformation of posts or projections (6a) inside corresponding recesses (7b), on the heat insulating part (7), with limited contact regions (7c, C) between the parts (6, 7). As a result, at certain loading values, limited longitudinal and/or transverse displacements are possible in the longitudinal and/or transverse directions (variations due to thermal expansion).

Description

For some time now, the manufacture of composite profiles for the assignment of different static, aesthetic and / or maintenance problems (DE-C-801 468) or for reducing the heat transfer between the outer and inner part of the window profile (DE -B-109 1735; AT-B-281384). All the different assembly systems for composite profiles, including those for composite profiles made of parts of the same material, have the disadvantage that they deform due to the different thermal expansion and / or, in the case of metal-wood profiles, due to dimensional fluctuations in moisture absorption. It is known that these abuses result in sealing difficulties between the stick and sash and cracks in the frame corners. Furthermore, it is known to limit these deformations by mutual sliding of the parts in the longitudinal direction.

Even if these last precautions do not solve the problem of deformation of windows and doors mounted on the corners of the frame, on which the longitudinal movements cause torques on the profiles connected at right angles; these have the advantage of having satisfactorily linear composite profiles, at least during their processing, which facilitates precise and clean processing. Another difficulty in the production of composite profiles is the attachment and fastening of the connecting element (thermal insulation), which should avoid cold bridges between the parts, be an optimal insulator, and guarantee the parallelism of the parts and the dimensional accuracy of the profile.

The use of foams is known as a connecting element, the introduction of which takes place by means of devices and precautions which cover the free spaces between the connecting parts until the foam has hardened (AT-B-281 384; AT-B-322 179). This is also achieved by limited contact zones between the wooden and aluminum parts to be joined, which, however, often leads to blackening of the wood. Furthermore, the insertion of plastic strips or profiles is known, which engage positively in the parts to be connected (DE-A-15 25 16 753), the arrangement of these strips takes place by means of elastic deformation in the grooves during the insertion.

It is also known from FR-A-231 164 to achieve the connection of the parts in that they are processed by rollers or other devices from the outside in such a way that webs of the metal profile are deformed and engage in longitudinal grooves or in undercuts of an insulating profile, but without to provide limited sliding of the parts in the transverse direction. A special method of this type is known from DE-A-2232024, which provides for inserting a heat-insulating profile rod into a metal profile provided with longitudinal predetermined breaking points and then rolling the profile apart along the predetermined breaking points and the resulting free webs into a groove on the profile rod turn in; this method enables very time-saving production, but no sliding under load in the transverse direction.

A deformation of webs, which protrude from the metal profile is achieved according to DE-A-810 630, by joining in the transverse direction with heat-insulating profiles, but sliding in the assembled state under load is excluded transversely to the longitudinal axis and to the joining direction.

The invention has for its object to provide a composite profile for door and window frames of the type described above, which allows a limited sliding between the metal profile and the connecting profile under load transversely to the longitudinal axis and the direction of assembly to exclude deformation of the composite profile, especially in connection with a wooden profile.

This object is achieved in that a game is provided between the web ends of the metal webs, which protrude into the longitudinal grooves on the connecting profile, and that after their deformation by mutual pressing of the two profiles in the transverse direction, and that it is the cross section of the web ends of the metal webs as well as the contact side of the connecting profile facing the metal profile have such a shape that an elastic reshaping of the web ends is compensated for by the elastic deformation of the part of the connecting profile acted upon.

To achieve this, the connecting profile has at least one longitudinal groove into which tongues or webs of the inserted profile protrude. The above webs have a reduced cross-section in an angled area in order to obtain a predetermined deformation point; the deformation is achieved by pressing the connecting profile against the metal profile in the transverse direction. According to the invention, the shape of the webs is such that, due to the mutual action of the groove surfaces on those of the webs, the metal profile is clamped to the connecting profile, so that, in the longitudinal as well as in the transverse direction, an up to limited load effective locking between the Elements is effective, with a play between the parts is provided in the transverse direction. After the contact areas between the connected parts are limited, the friction-guaranteed locking allows sliding in these directions as soon as the loads in the longitudinal and transverse directions exceed certain values.

The connection profile, eg made of extruded PVC can have internal cavities which can be foamed if necessary. The surfaces of the connecting profile, which act on the web ends, can be coated or processed so that the required strength is achieved. According to a further development, the grooves in which the webs engage can also consist of U-shaped profiles, for example made of metal, which are provided on a foam profile, which can have further webs, grooves or seats in the general sense around other parts forming the composite profile, to be able to mount and fasten on it.

According to the invention, the second profile, which is connected to the first profile by the same connecting profile, can be held in the same way as this, wherein the clamping can be achieved by a single pressing movement; furthermore, this profile can be made in a known manner, e.g. can be attached by positive locking of various types and / or gluing.

The degree of clamping can be influenced by taking into account the elastic deformation of the metal webs, which precedes the plastic deformation; the connecting profile can have such a shape and structural properties that the supports deform elastically in such a way that sufficient clamping takes place even in the case of a partial elastic recovery into the starting position. This can be easily achieved by providing a more or less deep groove on the surface of the connecting profile lying on the metal profile during this chamfer, the outer edges acting as a support, e.g. can have the shape of spread webs, which bend under a certain pressure and thus enable the movement required for the permanent deformation of the metal webs. The cross-section of the metal webs can, according to the invention, have such a shape in relation to the insertion grooves that, in the clamped position, the outermost bar tip presses on the corresponding surface of the groove while the back side is supported on the opposite surface of the groove.

The invention is explained in more detail using a preferred exemplary embodiment of an aluminum-wood composite profile according to the invention, which is shown schematically in the accompanying drawing, the drawing having purely explanatory, non-limiting value.
  • Fig. 1 shows a cross section through an aluminum-wood composite profile according to the invention for window sash and window frame.
  • Fig. 2 shows in detail the clip connection according to the invention between the metal profile and the connecting profile.

The metal profile 6 is attached by snapping 4a, 4b, with the interposition of the insulation element 4, on the blind stick 2, this is aligned by wedges 3; the metal profile 6 has webs 6c with web ends 6a and a reduction in cross section 6b against the inside.

The connecting profile 7 made of insulating material is inserted in the longitudinal direction between these webs 6c, the grooves 7b corresponding to the position of the web ends 6a and the support provided with a wide groove 7d and projections 7c on the sides directed against the surface 6d from which the webs 6c stand out. During an inevitable approach of these parts in the transverse direction, the surface A of the connecting profile 7 presses against the rounding B of the web end 6a, which, because of the reduction in cross section 6b, bends it until the region C presses on the surface D of the groove, the projections 7c of the Connection profile 7 are pressed against the surface 6d of the metal profile 6.

However, a possible limited sliding in this direction is ensured in the transverse direction to the connected parts by a play G. During this phase of permanent deformation of the webs 6c with the web ends 6a, a limited elastic deformation of regions of the connecting profile 7, which are located between the web ends 6a and the support surface 6d, can be provided so as to compensate for any elastic resetting of the web ends 6a Elastic deformation can be made dependent on the shape and the arrangement of the projections 7c and the groove 7d.

The composite profiles shown in FIG. 1 have a wooden cladding 8 which is fastened via grooves 8a and anchoring webs 7a projecting from the connecting profile 7.

By means of grooves 8b, which may be the same as the anchoring grooves 8a, seals can be attached in a known manner. The entire composite profile according to the invention, composed of a metal profile 6, a plastic profile 7 and a wooden profile 8, can be thermally insulated against the blind frame 2, as well as against the masonry 1, by a plastic profile 4, which is snapped onto the metal profile 6 4a, 4b and by the Approach 4c also interrupts cold bridges between wood 8 and blind stick 2.

Since the introduction of adhesive foams and the like is dispensed with in the connection according to the invention, internal tensions are eliminated by mutually limited sliding of the parts in the longitudinal and transverse directions. The invention does not exclude the use of spacer elements which have the structural and functional features of the described connection profile 7.
