Claims (11)

1. Device for carrying bags of various dimensions in such a manner as to form baskets, in particular refuse baskets, comprising a first vertical supporting element (1,2,3) in the form of an inverted V, the angle of which may serve to suspend the device, or in the form of a U or an H; a second supporting element (4,5,6,7,8,9) supported by the said first supporting element (1,2,3) and having two symmetrical flexible arms which have at their ends supporting means (4,9) for the opposite sides of the bag; and a third supporting element (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) in the form of a horizontal base which cooperates with the lower part of the first supporting element (1, 2, 3) to enable the device to rest securely on the ground, characterized in that
- the arms which form the first supporting element, if it is in the V-shaped, form rounded shoulders in the vicinity of the angle (3) which they determine and around which the handle of the bag to be supported is to pass, and have at their ends means (1,2) in which a shaft of the second supporting element may pivot;
- the said shaft of the second supporting element has at its ends the said two flexible arms (4,5,6 and 7,8,9) which form a wide-open U, the pivoting of the second supporting element in relation to the first supporting element (1,2,3) enabling the supporting means (4,9) to hold the sides of the bag at different locations in order to vary the size and shape of the opening of the bag;
- and the base which forms the third supporting element is flexible and can turn of the shaft of the second supporting element (4,5,6,7,8,9), this base having fastening means (10,15) designed to cooperate with the first supporting element (1,2,3) for fastening together the said base and the said first supporting element, these together forming an angle of 90°, whilst the second supporting element (4,5,6,7,8,9) may pivot freely therebetween, it being possible for the said base to be unfastened and opened out to enable very long bags to pass through when the support is fastened by its first element.
2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the supporting means (4,9) of the two arms of the second element of the support comprise a hook and eye, the hook serving to pierce the side of the bag and the eye to support the pierced part, in order to prevent it from sliding downwards, it being possible for the hook to accomodate a safety covering if it is disposed outside the eye.
3. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the two pivoting arms (4,5,6 and 7,8,9) of the second supporting element are inclined, in a symmetrical manner, about a point (5,8) of these arms so as to form an angle and reduce the tension on the side of the bag when it is suspended at the ends of the said arms, it being possible for the arms thus inclined to have a permanent element secured to them, either for decorative or advertising purposes, without the centre of gravity of the device being displaced when the sack is filled.
4. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the said base is comprised of a rod of flexible material which has the shape of a horizontal U and comprises at each end an eye (11,14) through which the shaft of the second supporting element (4,5,6,7,8,9) passes, it being possible for the said base to extend on both sides of the first supporting element (1,2,3), and in this case the said rod having to extend beyond its hooks (11,14) by a sufficient distance to ensure the stability of the first supporting element, the fastening means (10,15) for securing the base to the first securing element being comprised of hooks supported by extensions of the said rod and automatically gripping the arms of the first supporting element (1,2,3) when the base recieves the horizontal position.
5. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the shaft of the second supporting element (4,5,6,7,8,9) supports a plurality of pairs of arms which pivot on one or other side of the first supporting element (1,2,3), the said pairs of arms being connected by an H-shaped rod and their lower ends having hooks through which the said shaft passes, whereas their upper ends comprise means for supporting one side of the bag of which the other side is held by an adjacent support.
6. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the first supporting element (1,2,3) comprises, along its two arms, supporting means for securing a base which maintains the said first supporting element upright, and/or for holding other supports, of all shapes, it being possible for the said supports and/or base to pivot freely and be secured.
7. Device according to claim 1, the first supporting element having a U-shape (52,53,54,55) or an H-shape (56,57,58,59,60,61), characterised in that it is made of a flexible material, the upper end of each arm of the said first supporting element having means with a hook and eye (52,55,56,58) in such a manner that the bag is held by four arms, whilst the lower ends of the arms of the H-shaped element each have an eye (57,59) to enable the first supporting element to pivot in relation to the shaft of the second supporting element.

Device according to any one of claims 1, 4, 6 or 7, characterised in that the said flexible base is comprised of an upper bar (45) and a lower bar (46) disposed in the shape of a cross and articulated in their centre by a shaft (44), the upper bar (45) cooperating with the lower ends of the two arms of the first supporting element (1,2,3) and having feet of which the lower surface is at the same level as the lower surface of the lower bar (46), the said upper (45) and lower (46) bars being designed so as to rotate and move away from each other in order to enable the device to be positioned vertically.

Device according to claim 4, characterised in that the said horizontal base, instead of having eyes (11,14) cooperating with the shaft of the second supporting element (4,5,6,7,8,9), has pivots which avoid the use of a shaft, the said base still having extensions provided with means (10,15) for securing to the arms of the first supporting element (1,2,3).
10. Device according to any one of claims 1, 6 and 7, characterised by a clearing device (51) supported on the first supporting element (1,2,3) for extending forwards to the opening of the bag, the said clearing device having the form of a circle or a recessed circle.
11. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the elements thereof are made entirely from plasticised metal flexible rods or from flexible rods of plastics material.
