Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a hinge for cashier housings according to the preamble of claim 1.
Aufl., Berlin 1952, S. 443).Scissor-shaped lever gears for parallel guidance of two bodies are known, the two legs of the scissors being connected in the center by a pivot. The ends of the legs are rotatably mounted on one side of the simple scissors, on the other side they have to be slidably arranged in order to make the scissors functional. The two bodies (housing parts, slide, etc.) can then be moved apart or in a straight line perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the two sliding pins (0.Richter-RvVoss: Bauelemente der Feinmechanik, 5th edition, Berlin 1952, p. 443).
Such a possibility of movement is, however, for many device housings, e.g. of machines, electrical or communications equipment not satisfactory, which is why hinges such as hinges or piano tapes are mostly used here to be able to swing open the front part of the device. However, there are cases in which the use of such hinges is associated with serious disadvantages for the safety of the device. This is especially true for self-checkouts, whose checkout is an incentive for attempted break-ins. The hinge and abutting edges of the housing parts are good targets for such attempts.
From DE-PS 22 17 123 a scissor joint for connecting the pivotable and the fixed housing part of a self-cashier is known, in which the two housing parts interlock with the edges like tongue and groove in order to reduce the possible approaches for burglary tools. The scissor joint arranged in the interior of the housing is formed by two identical legs which are each divided into a lever arm of constant length and a lever arm of variable length by the common pivot pin. The lever arm of constant length is limited by the common pivot pin and a pivot pin attached to one housing part and the variable length lever arm by the common pivot pin and a slide pin attached to the other housing part and guided in an elongated hole of the leg. This construction combines the advantages of a scissor gear and a hinge, so that it is possible to provide closely interlocking edges of the housing parts over the entire circumference, because the housing parts are initially separated linearly and then swiveled or swiveled when closing and just brought together last. However, this scissor joint requires a certain depth of both the movable and the fixed housing part for its accommodation, which, however, is the case, for example, with payphones, since the internals require a relatively large depth of the housing.
The reduction in size of the electrical and also the mechanical components now makes it possible to make the housing considerably flatter. It appears expedient as a measure against burglary and vandalism to design the fixed housing part only as a stable, plate-shaped rear wall in order to make this part almost completely insensitive to the use of force. As a result, the butt joint with the movable housing part, hereinafter referred to as the hood, moves so far against the wall to which the housing is attached that it is only accessible from the front and the side. However, this results in very narrow geometric conditions for the hinge.
The invention is based on the object of creating a solid hinge for such a housing with a flat, fixed rear wall and pivotable hood, the abutting edges of which interlock as tongue and groove, which ensures smooth, safe function, takes up little space and offers the greatest possible protection against Offers destruction. This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous further developments can be found in the subclaims.

- Fig. 2 shows the cross section of FIG. 1, but with the housing open.
Rückwand 2 und Haube 3 sind durch das Scharnier 6 miteinander verbunden.1 and 2, 1 denotes a wall to which the self-cashier is attached. The housing of the cashier consists of the fixed housing part or the
The
The
The two
The
The functioning of the hinge or double crank mechanism is clearly evident from the two figures. 1, the
When closing, the
Two such hinges are expediently installed in the housing at a large distance from one another; in the case of very large housings, three hinges can also be arranged.
