Abstract
Gießerei-Altsande, insbesondere tongebundene Altsande, werden auf nassem Wege dadurch regeneriert, daß der mit Wasser versetzte Altsand vorentschlämmt, das Altsand/Wasser-Gemisch in mehreren hintereinander geschalteten Attritionsstufen einer Reibwaschanlage behandelt, das Gemisch jeder Attritionsstufe abgezogen und entschlämmt und das entschlämmte Gemisch der jeweils nächsten Attritionsstufe zugeführt wird und schließlich der erhaltene Regenerat-Sand entwässert und getrocknet wird. Eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des vorgenannten Verfahrens besteht aus wenigstens zwei Reibwaschanlagen (7, 9) mit höchstens drei Attritionszellen und je einem Klassierer (6, 8, 10) zwischen zwei aufeinander folgenden Reibwaschanlagen, denen das in der vorangehenden Reibwaschanlage anfallende Gemisch zum Entschlämmen zugeführt wird und aus dem das entschlämmte Gemisch der nächsten Reibwaschanlage zugeführt wird.
