Description

The present invention relates to a bracelet, in particular for a watch case. It relates more particularly to a bracelet made of injected synthetic material.

Such bracelets are well known (CH-A-271 713. They are formed from two strips starting from the box and, in existing embodiments, the connection between the strips is obtained by means of a loop fixed to the end of one of the straps to receive the end of the other strap.

However, the buckle is a part which must be manufactured separately, then mounted on the bracelet. This has the consequence of increasing the cost price of a type of bracelet intended mainly for inexpensive products. On the other hand, with the loops where the strap is retained by pinching, often used with this kind of products, there is a risk of accidental opening of the bracelet, resulting in the loss of the watch.

The present invention proposes to overcome these drawbacks by producing a very inexpensive bracelet and having great safety when worn.

For this purpose, the bracelet according to the invention, in particular for a box, comprising a first and a second strap, one end of each strap being integral with the watch case, is particularly remarkable in that the first strap has successive openings lengthwise of the bracelet, in that the second strap is extended, on the side of the other end, by a ribbon intended to pass through one of the openings to form with the two straps and the box a closed loop, and in that fixing means make it possible to make the free end of the ribbon integral with a point of the assembly formed by the second strap and the ribbon.

Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will emerge from the description which follows, given with reference to the appended drawing and giving, by way of explanatory but in no way limiting example, an advantageous embodiment of a bracelet. In this drawing, where the same references relate to similar elements:
  • - fig. 1 is a plan view of a watch case, containing a movement with the indicator members, provided with a strap according to the invention, the strap being deployed; and
  • - fig. 2 shows in a side view the watch case and the bracelet shown in FIG. previous, the bracelet forming a loop.

The figures of the drawing represent a box 1, for example of a watch, and a bracelet according to the invention attached to this box. In the box 1 is arranged a movement, mechanical and electronic not shown, which drives the hands 2 in front of a dial 3. The bracelet is formed of a first strap 4 and a second strap 5, one end of each strap being integral from box 1.

In a preferred embodiment, the bracelet is made of synthetic material injected in one piece with the box. Of course, the invention also applies to a bracelet made of synthetic material, or any other material, which would be fixed to the box by conventional means using, for example, a bar penetrating into the horns of the box.

The first strap 4 has a series of rectangular openings 6 which are all identical. These openings are arranged one after the other in the longitudinal direction of the bracelet, the long sides of these openings being oriented perpendicular to this direction.

The free end of the second strap 5 is extended by a flexible strip 7. This strip preferably forms, with the strap, a single piece of synthetic material. Other executions are of course possible. Thus the ribbon could be a separate element, attached to the strap, for example by gluing. It could also be made of a material other than synthetic material, this material being the same or different from that of the strap.

The ribbon 7 has a thickness substantially equal to that of the strap 5 and a rectangular section having dimensions allowing it to be introduced into one of the openings 6 of the strap 4. The strap 5 may advantageously also include openings 8, identical to the openings 6 and arranged in the same way. The openings 8, giving the two strips the same appearance, have only a decorative purpose.

A cet effet, une des parties du bouton- poussoir, référencée 9, présentant une ouverture centrale 10, est disposée à l'extrémité libre du ruban, alors que l'autre partie, référencée 11, pourvue d'un ergot 12, est placée sur le ruban au voisinage de sa jonction avec la lanière 5.Fixing means, for example a press button formed from two parts, also make it possible to link the free end of the ribbon 7 to a point in the assembly formed by the ribbon and the strap 5. For this purpose, one of the parts of the push button, referenced 9, having a central opening 10, is disposed at the free end of the ribbon, while the other part, referenced 11, provided with a lug 12, is placed on the ribbon at near its junction with the strap 5.

The strap 4, the box 1, the strap 5 and the ribbon 7 make it possible to form a closed loop 13, intended to be passed around the wrist of the wearer of the watch, by introducing the free end of the ribbon 7 into one of the openings 6 of the strap 4. The passage of the tape through the opening, despite the volume of the part 9, is made possible by slightly deforming the strap 4 in order to enlarge the opening 6. The part 9 then constitutes a safety stop for the ribbon 7 when the press button is not closed. The loop 13 has, in this case, a maximum length which makes it easy to place the watch on the arm.

Si ce n'est pas le cas, un ajustement meilleur pourra être obtenu en faisant passer le ruban 7 par une autre ouverture 6 de la lanière 4.Once the watch is in place, all you have to do is close the snap button by forcibly applying part 9 to part 11. This has the effect of reducing the length of the buckle 13 and adjusting the strap to the dimensions of the wrist. If not, a better fit can be obtained by passing the ribbon 7 through another opening 6 of the strap 4.

It is understood that the bracelet which has just been described may undergo further other modifications and appear in other variants obvious to those skilled in the art, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
