Here, either by the inclined surfaces of the locking heads 45, which are supported on the locking edges of the locking openings 60 and 61, or by supporting the front edges of the hook-like projections on the edges of the locking openings and shifting the hook plate by sliding off one of the edges of the yoke-like part 31 on the corresponding inner edge 57 or 58 of the base-like Projections 54 and 55 or by engagement of the annular base part 33 in the threaded bore 56, the hook-like projections 43 and 44 pressed back against the force of the spring 38 until they snap into their locking position as soon as they have been pushed over the lower edges of the locking edges.

Claims (11)

1. A hinge arm (1) for a furniture hinge or the like with a U-shaped profile, which can be connected to a base plate (20) selectively directly by a fixing screw (21) or by an interposed hook plate (25) which is screwed to the hinge arm and which is provided with a retaining projection which is movable against spring force, characterised in that the hook plate (25) is provided with a guide for a slider (34) which is displaceable against a spring force and which carries two hook-like extensions (44, 45) which are disposed substantially at a right angle on the slider and which are disposed at a spacing from each other and which snappingly engage behind holding edges of retaining openings (60, 61) in the base plate (20), which are aligned with said holding edges, by virtue of a pressure applied downwardly to the hinge arm (1), that between the hook-like extensions (43, 44) the hook plate (25) has a projection (31) or a recess and the base plate (20) has a complementary recess or a complementary extension, which centeringly engage into each other in the latched condition, and that at least one of the interengaging portions, namely the hook-like extensions (43, 44), the retaining openings (60, 61), the projection (31) or the recess are provided with ramp-like inclined surfaces (45) so that after the hook plate (25) has been fitted on to the retaining openings, when the portions are pressed together, the slider (34) is urged back against the force of the spring (38) until the hook-like extensions (43, 44) fall into snapping engagement with their hook sides (46) behind the holding edges.

A hinge arm (1) for a furniture hinge or the like with a U-shaped profile, which can be connected to a base plate (20) selectively directly by a fixing screw (21) or by an interposed hook plate (25) which is screwed to the base plate and which is provided with a retaining projection which is movable against spring force, characterised in that the hook plate (25) is provided with a guide for a slider (34) which is displaceable against a spring force and which carries two hook-like extensions (44, 45) which are disposed substantially at a right angle on the slider and which are disposed at a spacing from each other and which snappingly engage behind holding edges of retaining openings in the hinge arm (1), which are aligned with said holding edges, by virtue of a pressure applied downwardly to the hinge arm (1), that between the hook-like extensions (43, 44) the hook plate (25) has a projection (31) or a recess and the hinge arm (1) has a complementary recess or a complementary extension, which centeringly engage into each other in the latched condition, and that at least one of the interengaging portions, namely the hook-like extensions (43, 44), the retaining openings, the projection (31) or the recess are provided with ramp-like inclined surfaces (45) so that after the hook plate (25) has been fitted on to the retaining openings, when the portions are pressed together, the slider (34) is urged back against the force of the spring (38) until the hook-like extensions (43, 44) fall into snapping engagement with their hook sides (46) behind the holding edges.

A hinge arm according to claim 1 characterised in that a fixing screw (26) is provided for screwing the hook plate (25) to the hinge arm (1) and the base plate (20) is provided with raised supporting portions (54, 55) on both sides of the screwthreaded bore (56) for the fixing screw (21) which is used when the hinge arm (1) is to be connected directly to the base plate without the hook plate (25), the raised supporting portions being disposed at a spacing from each other which corresponds to the length of the projection (31) on the hook plate (25) between the hook-like extensions (43, 44), and that the retaining openings (60, 61) are disposed in the raised supporting portions (54, 55).
4. A hinge arm according to one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that it is secured to an intermediate plate (7) provided with a hole or keyhole-like slot (22) for the fixing screw (21, 26).

A hinge arm according to claim 4 characterised in that the hinge arm (1) is connected to the intermediate plate (7) pivotally for lateral adjustment at one end and by means of an adjusting screw (14) which is screwed into same at the other end, wherein the adjusting screw (14) is mounted rotatably but axially immovably to the intermediate plate (7).
6. A hinge arm according to one of claims 1 to 5 characterised in that the width of the raised supporting portions (54, 55) on the base plate (20) corresponds to the internal spacing of the limbs (2, 8) of the hinge arm (1) or possibly the intermediate plate (7) which is also of a U-shaped profile.

A hinge arm according to one of claims 1 to 6 characterised in that the fixing screw (21) which serves for direct fixing of the hinge arm (1) or the intermediate plate (7) to the base plate without the hook plate (25) has a lower portion (70) of larger screwthread diameter than that of the fixing screw (26) for fixing the hinge arm (1) or the intermediate plate (7) to the hook plate (25), and an upper screwthread-free shank region (71) of smaller diameter which corresponds to the smaller diameter of the screwthread of the fixing screw (26) for fixing the hinge arm (1) or the intermediate plate (7) to the hook plate (25).

A hinge arm according to one of claims 1 to 7 characterised in that on its underside the hook plate (25) is provided with an annular extension (33) which surrounds the screwthreaded bore and which in the latched condition extends into the screwthreaded bore (56) in the base plate (20) for the fixing screw (21).
9. A hinge arm according to one of claims 1 to 8 characterised in that the slider (34) is provided with a projection portion which extends beyond the rear end of the hinge arm (1) and which forms a button (40) for release of the retaining connection.
10. A hinge arm according to one of claims 1 to 9 characterised in that the thickness of the hook plate (25) approximately corresponds to the height of the angled limbs (2, 8) of the hinge arm (1) or the intermediate plate (7).
11. A hinge arm according to one of claims 1 to 10 characterised in that the hook sides (46) are inclined in a tapering configuration in relation to the holding edge to connect the interlatched portions for re-tightening thereof and to compensate for production inaccuracies.
