Abstract

The invention relates to a method for applying met allic coatings on metallic workpieces by mech anicochemical treatment of the workpieces in one erte impact body contained bath by a Relative movement between workpieces and impact bodies or bath is generated, and the one promoter and the Plating-forming metal can be added, taking to avoid that metals go into solution and ver bound hydrogen evolution occurs, at the latest before and / or during the addition of the coating Metal using an acid addition at least a water-soluble organic carboxylic acid or under Use a combination of at least one water-soluble organic carboxylic acid and / or their Salts with at least one mineral acid in one Quantity occurs that the pH of the bath at the beginning of the Metal application approximately in the range greater than 2.5 - 4.5 and on their end is in the range of 3-7.
