Abstract

In the device, which has a built-in flush-mounted mixing fitting (1) with two feed pipes (3, 4), at least one mixing pipe (9) and possibly a thermostat (2), a rinsing fitting (10, 11) can be screwed into the seating of a sieving and back-pressure valve insert or the like when the latter has been unscrewed from the feed pipes (3, 5, 7; 4, 6, 8) and, like a two-way valve, it has a first rinsing position in which the liquid can be drained from the feed pipe (3, 4) through the rinsing fitting (10) while the mixing pipe (9) is closed and a second rinsing position in which the mixing pipe (9) is open when the rinsing fitting (11) is closed and the liquid can be drained from the feed pipe through the mixing pipe (9). The device opens up the possibility of cleaning the pipes or water pipes with some of the feed pipes and the remainder of the feed pipes with the mixing pipe or pipes by rinsing them through consecutively. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a device for rinsing lines for dispensing liquids - in particular water pipes with a built-in concealed mixer tap with two supply lines - with at least one mixing line and possibly a thermostat.

Pipelines, especially water pipelines, must be flushed out after installing contaminants, e.g. Cutting chips, hemp residues, solder or the like, which have formed during the line laying work. Such flushing does not pose any problems where the pipelines have a free outlet to which valves or the like can then optionally be connected. On the other hand, such flushing of, for example, stub lines from an already installed thermostatic battery to the shower fitting was not possible without risk of damage to the thermostat insert. The lines to the thermostatic battery or mixer fitting itself could not be rinsed safely. In the case of concealed single-lever mixers, flushing could also not be carried out without risk of damage to the ceramic cartridge.

The object underlying the invention is seen in creating a device of the type mentioned, whether for a thermostatic mixer tap or for a single lever mixer, which are each arranged under plaster, which makes it possible without the risk of damaging the Thermostats or the ceramic cartridge to properly rinse the supply lines of the respective fitting or their mixing line, also to the shower.

This object is achieved according to the invention for flushing a concealed mixer fitting with a thermostat by means of a flush fitting which can be screwed into the seat when the strainer and check valve insert or the like is unscrewed from one of the supply lines and has a first flushing position in the manner of a two-way valve in which the Liquid can be drained from the supply line through the flush valve, while the mixing line is closed, and has a second flushing position in which, when the flush valve is closed, the mixing line is open and the liquid can be drained from the supply line through the mixing line.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the flush valve has a screw plug which can be screwed into the seat of the unscrewed sieve insert and which has a central bore in which a cylindrical valve body coaxially corresponding in diameter to the diameter of the seat of the sieve insert coaxially, in each case from the limited to two flushing positions, is displaceable in such a way that the valve body closes the mixing line in the first flushing position, in which it has been displaced furthest into the seat, but closes the outflow from the supply line through a pipe section that extends the valve body, at the end of the latter a drain valve is arranged, which allows it to have a coaxial blind bore leading into the pipe section, to which the liquid from the supply line has access through transverse bores.

In the first rinsing position, the valve body thus closes the mixing line and only allows the supply line to be rinsed out through the flush valve, while in the second rinsing position with the valve closed, the valve body has been withdrawn to such an extent that the water flowing in through the supply line, the now can no longer carry any pollutants, has unhindered access to the mixing line, including a shower line if necessary. The thermostat in the mixing line can no longer be damaged.

Another solution to the task of the invention, especially for a concealed mixer tap in a single lever design with a ceramic cartridge or the like, is characterized by a flushing head which can be screwed on instead of the unscrewed ceramic cartridge, with an intermediate, elastic sealing membrane which, under the influence of the liquid pressure in the supply lines, runs from the valve body into a delimited cavity the flushing head can be lifted off, and by means of two arranged in the flushing head, pressing the sealing membrane against the two outflow openings in the valve body, from the outside of the flushing head in the closing direction and in the opening direction, mutually actuatable adjusting elements, expediently in the form of set screws. The loosening of one of the set screws leads to a corresponding lifting of the sealing membrane, such that the water from the respective supply line can flow through the valve body out of the outflow opening and into the space between the valve body and sealing membrane and thus to the mixing line, so that a perfect rinsing is effected. Subsequent tightening of the set screw closes the corresponding outflow opening again, so that the other outflow opening in the fitting body can be opened in a corresponding manner for flushing purposes by means of the other set screw.

Advantageous developments of the invention result from the subclaims.

In Figure 1, a mixer tap 1 with a thermostat 2 is shown as it is used for installation under plaster and for connection to cold and hot water pipes. In each case in the direction of the arrows B and C, the hot or cold water from pipes, not shown, to be flushed enters the supply lines or connecting pieces 3 and 4, which are located through blind holes 5 and 6 for the use of dirt screens, each with a screwed-in check valve, which in present case have been removed, and lines 7 and 8 continue to the thermostat 2, via which they have connection to a mixing line 9 for the outlet of tempered water or for the supply thereof to a shower line, not shown.

According to the invention, a flush valve 10 is now provided, which can be screwed into the seat or the thread 12 of the same when the insert is unscrewed from the blind hole 5 and can have two flush positions in the manner of a two-way valve. To simplify the illustration, the sieve inserts, not shown, are unscrewed from both threads 12 and 13 of the blind holes 5 and 6 and two identical flushing fittings 10 and 11 have been used to explain the two flushing positions in more detail. The left flush valve 10 has a first flush position in which the water from the supply line 3 can be drained through the flush valve 10 while the mixing line 9 is closed, whereas the second flush valve 11 explains the second flush position in which the mixing line 11 is closed when the flush valve 11 is closed 9 is open. It should be emphasized that, of course, a single flush valve 10 or 11 is sufficient to flush the two supply lines 3 and 4 in succession.

In the embodiment shown, the flushing fittings 10, 11 each have a screw plug 14 which can be screwed into the seats or threads 12, 13 of the unscrewed sieve inserts, which has a central bore 15 in which the diameter of the diameter of the seat or Blind holes 5 and 6 of the sieve inserts essentially corresponding valve body 16 can be displaced coaxially, each limited by the two rinsing positions. In the first flushing position, which is shown by the flushing valve 10, the valve body 16 is in a position in which it has been displaced the furthest into the blind hole 5 and thereby closes the mixing line 9, but the outflow from the supply line 3 through the valve body 16 extending pipe section 17 allows that it has a coaxial, in the pipe section 17 leading blind hole 18 to which the water from the supply line 3 through two mutually perpendicular cross holes 19 access. As can be easily seen, the water, which may or may be carrying foreign matter, entering the supply line 3 in the direction of arrow B from the water pipe, which is not to be flushed, can enter the coaxial blind hole 18 of the valve body 16 through the transverse bores 19 and the pipe section 17 which extends the valve body 16 flow through the flush valve 10 and exit in the direction of arrow B through a ball valve 20 which is in the open position, optionally into a hose or the like (not shown).

To improve the seal between the valve body 16 and the wall 21 of the blind hole 5, an O-ring seal 22 is provided on the valve body 16. It goes without saying that the valve body 16 is only pushed as far in the direction of arrow E into the screw plug 14 that, on the one hand, the aforementioned sealing and, on the other hand, the passage of water from the supply line 3 into the blind hole 18 through the transverse holes 19 is ensured.

After the rinsing process of the pipeline, not shown, through the supply line 3, the now clean rinsing water could be released to the mixing line 9 via the line 7, namely by moving the valve body 16 into the second rinsing position.

In the present case, this second rinsing position is shown using the rinsing fitting 11 arranged on the right in FIG. To simplify parts of this second flush valve 11 have been given the same reference numerals.

The ball valve 20 or drain valve is closed in this case, since it is assumed that a rinsing process in the first rinsing position, which was explained above with reference to the rinsing fitting 10, has also taken place for the water pipeline (not shown) which conveys the arrow to the supply line 4 Has. The valve body 16 is in the retracted position shown, in which the rinsing water is cleared the way via the supply line 7, the seat of the unscrewed sieve insert (not shown) or the blind hole 6 and the line 8 to the mixing line 9. In this way, the mixing line or connected shower line can also be rinsed without damaging the thermostat 2, since only clean water has access to it after the upstream lines have already been rinsed and thus cleaned.

Subsequently, the respective flush valve 10 or 11 can be removed by unscrewing the screw plug 14 by means of an attachment 23 provided on it, in the form of a hexagon nut or the like, from its seat on the mixer tap 1, which seals with an annular seal 24, whereupon the sieve inserts (not shown) again can be screwed in, which ensure that during the operation of the mixer valve 1 foreign body, which may come from the city cal supply network or the like are brought up, no access to the thermostat 2 and 9 mixed line.

In den Figuren 2 und 3 sind weitere Einzelheiten der beiden gleichartigen Spülarmaturen 10 und 11 gezeigt, die verdeutlichen, wie bei der gezeigten Ausführungsform die Verlagerung des Ventilkörpers 16 relativ gegenüber dem Schraubstopfen 14 zustande kommt.FIGS. 2 and 3 show further details of the two flushing fittings 10 and 11 of the same type, which illustrate how in the embodiment shown the valve body 16 is displaced relative to the screw plug 14.

As can easily be seen, the flush valve 10 according to FIG. 2 is in the same working position in which it is located in FIG. 1. Accordingly, the flush valve 10 with the valve body 16 with its radial seal in the form of the O-ring 22 between the closed end 25 of the valve body 16 and the transverse bores 19 occupies a position which corresponds to the first flushing position in the fitting 1 on the valve, as it continues was explained above. In order to limit the coaxial displacement of the valve body 16 in the direction of arrow E into this first rinsing position, a grub screw 26, which breaks through this, is provided in the wall of the screw plug 14, here in the wall of the hexagon nut 23, as shown. axial groove 27 protrudes on the cylindrical outer surface 28 of the valve body 16. In order to avoid an involuntary displacement of the valve body 16 in the screw plug 14, which could happen, for example, under the influence of water pressure, the groove 27 has at its ends right-angled locking grooves 29 and 30, in which the end 31 of the grub screw 26 corresponding rotation of the valve body 16 can be locked after reaching the respective rinsing position. In the case of the flush valve 10 according to FIG. 2, this is the first flush position.

In order to achieve the second rinsing position shown in FIG. 3 using the flush valve 11, the flush valve 10 or the valve body 16 must be rotated in a rotationally fixed and sealed manner by means of the tube piece 17 fastened to the valve body 16 with screws 32 with the aid of the sealing seal 32 'until the end 31 of the grub screw 26 is again at the top of the grooves 27. Then it is only necessary to pull the pipe section 17 in the direction of arrow F (FIG. 3) until the other, in this case lower end of the groove 27 comes to rest on the end 31 of the grub screw 26. Subsequently, the end 31 is locked again in the locking groove 30 by rotation in the same direction, as is shown in FIG. 3 using the flush valve 11. The ends of the locking grooves can also have axially extending extensions 33 in the manner shown, in which repeated locking takes place over a short distance in order to prevent the end 31 of the grub screw 26 from being involuntarily unscrewed from the respective locking groove 29, 30.

With these displacements of the valve body 16 between its two rinsing positions, an O-ring seal 59 arranged in an annular groove 60 of the screw plug 14 ensures a good seal between the valve body 16 and the screw plug 14.

The respective ball valves 20 have been omitted in FIGS. 2 and 3 for the sake of clarity.

Figur 4 zeigt eine Untersicht der Spülarmatur in Pfeilrichtung A in Figur 2.FIG. 4 shows a bottom view of the flush fitting in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 2.

Anschließend läßt sich die Stellschraube 53 herausdrehen, woraufhin in gleicher Weise die Zufuhrleitung 41 nebst zugehöriger, nichtgezeigter Wasserrohrleitung gespült werden kann.FIGS. 5 and 6 show a further embodiment of the invention, which also for flushing water pipelines (not shown) with a built-in concealed mixer tap 40 in the single lever construction with ceramic cartridge, as shown in the drawings, with two supply lines 41 and 42 and at least one mixing line 43 suitable is. The ceramic cartridge with the single lever determining the valve position has already been unscrewed from the mixer fitting 40. According to the invention, a screw-on flushing head 44 is now provided, which can be screwed onto the fitting 40 by means of the two fastening screws 45 and 46 in the place of the ceramic cartridge with a single lever mechanism. The flushing head 44 is a cylindrical part, expediently made of plastic, and fits fittingly within the projecting edge 47 of the fitting 40 on an intermediate, elastic sealing membrane 48 which, under the influence of the liquid pressure in the supply lines 41, 42 from the fitting body into an adjacent cavity 50 of the flushing head 44 can be lifted off, namely due to its elasticity or elasticity. Furthermore, two set screws 53 and 54 are arranged in the flushing head 44 and press the sealing membrane 48 against the two outflow openings 51 and 52 in the valve body 49. These two set screws 53 and 54 can be actuated alternately from outside the flushing head 44, for example in the manner shown by means of conventional slotted screw heads 55 and 56, in the closing direction (see set screw 53) and in the opening direction (see set screw 54), in the manner shown Outflow opening 51 closed, the outflow opening 52, however, is opened. The water pressure in the supply line 42 thus raises the sealing membrane 48 through the outflow opening 52, limited to the immediate vicinity of the outflow opening 52, in such a way that a curved flow space connecting the outflow opening 52 and the mixing line 43 is formed in the manner shown that the rinsing water with any foreign bodies is given access to the mixing line 43. After sufficient rinsing, the adjusting screw 54 can be screwed back into the flushing head 44 in the direction of the outflow opening 52, so that it presses the sealing membrane 48 against this outflow opening 52 and closes it. Then the adjusting screw 53 can be unscrewed, whereupon the supply line 41 and the associated water pipeline, not shown, can be rinsed in the same way.

To avoid damage to the sealing membrane 48, the ends 57 and 58 of the Set screws 53 and 54 are formed as pressure pieces enlarged in diameter, which are rounded in the manner shown toward the sealing membrane 48. These thrust pieces are rotatably seated on the adjusting screws 53 and 54, so that no rubbing against the sealing membrane 48 and therefore no damage to the same can occur for this reason.

If both set screws 53 and 54 are tightened in such a way that the two outflow lines 51 and 52 are tightly sealed, then a so-called pressing of the fitting body 40 can also take place in the prescribed manner, whether in the manufacturer's factory or on the part of the installer after the installation of the same for the purpose Leak test of the installed lines.

It is pointed out that the mixer tap according to the invention can be used in the manner described not only after new installation measures, but also advantageously in the case of renovation measures for existing water supply systems which are concerned with removing rust and rust sludge, limescale particles and other types of contaminants which can be removed may have formed and deposited over long periods of time.
