Definitions

  • the subject of the present invention is an installation for repairing and inspecting bodies of damaged vehicles comprising a base plate and a traction bracket.
  • a marble consists of a rectangular frame made from two U and I metal profiles with parallel wings, with mounting of two spacers between the two longitudinal profiles.
  • the anchoring clamps of the body of the vehicle can be repaired, as well as the sleepers which receive fixtures for positive type repairs, and for measuring devices.
  • a traction bracket comprises a base formed by an elongated piece, such as a tubular beam capable of being slid under the marble, equipped with means of fixing by pinching on the wings of two of the sections constituting the frame of the marble.
  • At one end of the beam forming the base is mounted an arm articulated around a horizontal axis and transverse to the beam.
  • a chain being hung, on the one hand, on the vehicle body and, on the other hand, on the arm, the latter can tilt around its axis and exert traction on the chain, under the action of a jack hydraulic.
  • a first drawback of traditional marbles lies in their lack of rigidity, which results in the marble marrying any unevenness in the ground, which can result in measurement errors, if the ground on which the marble rests is not not perfectly flat.
  • the righting angles require a very large floor area for their implementation, in particular because of the length of the beam forming the base. Given the length of this beam, it is indeed necessary to have a significant recoil with respect to the marble in order to be able to disengage the traction bracket from the latter, and to move it relative to the marble to fix it in another point of it.
  • this length of the traction brackets is further increased insofar as their base consists of two parts such as two beams in the extension of one another and articulated one on the other around d 'a vertical axis.
  • FR-A 2 511 272 relates to an apparatus according to the first part of claim 1 for straightening the chassis and bodies of vehicles comprising a tubular marble having a reinforcement nose turned on its inner face and near its upper edge.
  • a traction bracket With this chassis is associated a traction bracket whose front part is in the form of a stirrup open towards the front delimited by two horizontal plates intended to be placed, respectively, above and below the frame of the marble, the upper plate being equipped with a hook coming to engage on the nose of reinforcement of the frame.
  • this device is not satisfactory due to the fact that under conditions of use of the traction bracket, the rear part thereof, that is to say that away from the marble, tends to tilt towards the top, movement which none of the organs of the square or the marble thwarts. It is therefore not possible to obtain a good connection between the marble and the square.
  • the present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by providing a marble having a high rigidity, which is associated with a traction bracket that can be fixed on the marble, adjusted relative thereto and manipulated around the marble without requiring a large surface.
  • the installation which it relates to of the type comprising a marble constituted by a rectangular frame produced from tubular elements, and a traction bracket whose front end is equipped with means for fixing to the marble, is characterized in that the rectangular frame is equipped, on its inwardly facing side and near its lower edge, with a metallic element of smaller section, while the traction bracket comprises a base intended to be engaged under the frame, equipped, on the one hand, at its front end and on the side of its upper edge, with a stirrup open towards the rear, intended to be engaged on the metallic element in the form of a square of the marble and , on the other hand, near this same front end, a shoe which, turned forwards, axially movable and lockable in the desired position, is intended to come to bear against the external face of one of the profiles constitutive of the frame of the ma rbre.
  • This rigidity of the marble is reinforced by the presence of the full square of smaller section, which is also used for fixing the traction bracket.
  • this traction bracket is very simple to implement, and of a reduced bulk compared to the traditional brackets, since its base does not require fixing on two of the elements of the frame, but on a single of these.
  • this structure allows, when using the traction bracket, self-locking thereof on the marble. Indeed, during the operation of the traction bracket, the end posted the latter tends to tilt upwards, movement during which the stirrup, mounted at the front end of the bracket, hangs on the element attached to the inner face of the frame, without being able to escape to it, eliminating all play between the square and the frame.
  • the return forming the upper wing of the bracket for attaching the bracket to the marble is of width less than that of the square against which the bracket rests.
  • stirrup simply covers the inner square of the marble, without pressing against the main sections thereof, which avoids any risk of deterioration of the marble.
  • the means for locking the support shoe against the external wall of one of the sections of the marble are constituted by a key with converging edges engaged in a transverse opening formed in the sleeve guide, integral with the base, of a rod whose front end is equipped with the shoe, the key pressing against the rear end of said rod.
  • the key is removed, which allows free movement of the support shoe.
  • the key is engaged on the guide sleeve with support against the shoe rod, and its shape allows a locking of the support of the shoe against the marble.
  • the base of the bracket is constituted by two beams in alignment with one another, and articulated around a vertical axis
  • the beam located on the fixing side of the base on the marble comprises a vertical cylindrical socket
  • the other beam comprises, below the said socket, a plurality of frustoconical vertical recesses, open upwards, distributed over a circular sector centered on the pivot axis of the two beams one on the other, while the end of the jack, body or rod, opposite to that articulated on the arm is equipped with articulation around a horizontal axis, of a nozzle comprising a frustoconical end of complementary shape that of the aforementioned recesses, and a cylindrical part of shape corresponding to the inside diameter of the sleeve.
  • the slope of the frustoconical end of the end piece, as well as the slope of the corresponding recesses are chosen to avoid there being an autoblocking preventing, under normal handling conditions, the withdrawal of the end piece from the recess in which he is engaged.
  • the device represented in FIG. 1 comprises a plate 2 with which a traction bracket 3 is associated.
  • the marble 2 comprises a frame produced from four tubular elements 4, between the two long sides of which are mounted two transverse spacers 5.
  • this marble is equipped with wheels 6 allowing its movement on the ground, clamps 7 for fixing the body of the vehicle to be repaired and a device designated by the general reference 8, allowing the mounting of various accessories. control.
  • the rectangular frame is equipped, on its inner face and near its lower edge, with a metallic element 9 of square section.
  • This square has the double function of reinforcing the rigidity of the tubular frame and of allowing the fixing of a traction bracket thereon.
  • the traction bracket 3 shown in more detail in FIGS. 2 and 3 comprises a base formed by two beams 12 and 13 located in alignment and articulated one on the other around an axis 14.
  • this traction bracket 3 is equipped with wheels 15, a handling handle 16, as well as an arm 17 having notches 18 for hooking a chain whose other end is hooked to the vehicle body to be repaired.
  • This arm 17 is capable of pivoting about an axis 19 horizontal and transverse to the beam 13, after having been adjusted for lateral inclination by pivoting about an axis 20 and locking at the desired inclination using a pin 22.
  • the beam 12 located on the side of the end of the bracket to be fixed on the marble, is equipped, at its front end, with a stirrup 23 comprising two parallel jaws, located on the side of the upper edge of the beam 12 and whose the opening faces back.
  • this stirrup is intended to come over the square 9 mounted on the inside of the frame, and the width of the upper branch 24 of the stirrup is less than the width of the tube 9, in order to prevent the 'end of the upper legs of the stirrup bear against a tubular member 4 and deteriorate it.
  • a mechanically welded assembly 25 comprising in particular a longitudinal sleeve 26 allowing the guiding of a rod 27 whose front end is equipped with a shoe 28 intended to come to bear against the external face of the tubular profile 4 of the marble on which the bracket is to be fixed.
  • This shoe 28 is equipped with an upper return 28a covering the upper face of the tubular profile 4 of the marble, which makes it possible to make the square integral with the marble during an upward movement of the latter, for example when it is attached to an elevator.
  • the shoe 28 can be moved axially by sliding the rod 27 in the sleeve 26, the shoe being able to be locked in the support position against a profile 4 by a key 29 with converging edges engaged in a transverse opening of the sleeve 26 and bearing on the rear end of the rod 27 of the shoe 28.
  • the mechanically welded assembly 25 is equipped, on its rearward facing side, with a cylindrical sleeve 30 with a vertical axis.
  • the beam 13 is equipped with a sleeve 32 which widens horizontally in the direction of the beam 12, and intended to come into partial recovery of the latter.
  • a sleeve 32 which widens horizontally in the direction of the beam 12, and intended to come into partial recovery of the latter.
  • On the upper face of this sleeve 32 are arranged, arranged in a circular sector centered on the axis 14 of articulation of the two beams 12 and 13, several frustoconical recesses 33 of vertical axis.
  • the bracket is traditionally equipped with a hydraulic cylinder 34.
  • the body 35 of this cylinder is mounted with articulation around a horizontal axis 36 on the arm 17, while the end of the rod 37 is equipped, with articulation around a horizontal axis 38, with a nozzle designated by the general reference 39, comprising a frustoconical end 40 of shape complementary to that of the recesses 33 and a cylindrical part 42 of diameter corresponding to the internal diameter of the socket 30.
  • the blocking of the two beams 12 and 13 in the desired angular position is achieved by engagement of the end piece 39 of the cylinder rod, on the one hand, in the socket 30 associated with the beam 12 and, on the other hand, in the tapered recess chosen, associated with the beam 13.
  • the invention brings a great improvement to the existing technique by providing a device of simple design making it possible to obtain a marble having a high rigidity and, therefore, insensitive to the unevenness of the ground on which it rests , which is associated with a traction bracket of very simple handling, and whose length is particularly reduced, which allows its use in a workshop of limited surface, as is apparent from several working positions illustrated in FIG. 6.
