Abstract

Figure imgaf001
For the lateral connection of an additional switch block to a domestic appliance contactor, the connections of which are provided on the side opposite the mounting rail side, a hook connection of the two side surfaces has been found. When the hooks are inserted into the corresponding recesses, a shaping of the actuating element of the additional switch block with a ring engages over the switching position indicator protruding from the front of the contactor, so that the actuating clutch is ensured. The latching against slipping back takes place via latching arms which are molded onto the auxiliary switch housing.

Description

The invention relates to a contactor with means for coupling an additional switch block, which consist of hook connections and latching means which can be inserted transversely to the direction of actuation and a form-fitting connection of the actuating elements.

In a known contactor of the type mentioned above (DE-OS 1 909 460), an electromagnet housing for receiving an actuating magnet is known. The housing or the electromagnet can be completed to form a contactor here by a plurality of contact housing units, each of which contains fixed contacts, movable contacts and an actuating element for these movable contacts. Hook connections that can be inserted transversely to the actuation direction are present on the electromagnet housing and on the contact housing units. Spring-loaded plungers in the contact housing units snap into recesses in the electromagnet housing. A hammer head is formed on the actuating element of the movable contacts of the contact housing units, into which corresponding arms of the actuating element connected to the movable magnet engage. In this known arrangement, the connection elements are provided on the individual contact housing units, and only the connections for the actuating coil are connected to the electromagnet housing.

The invention is intended to provide a contactor which, in addition to already integrated switching contacts, makes it possible to add additional contacts as a block, in particular for contactors whose direction of actuation of the contacts runs parallel to the mounting plane be able to attach and remove. This is achieved in a simple manner in a contactor of the type mentioned above in that the connecting elements for already integrated switching contacts are arranged on the side opposite the mounting surface in the contactor and that the additional switch block can be fastened to a side surface lying transversely to the actuating direction of the contacts of the contactor and the form-fitting connection consists of a shaping of the actuating element of the additional switch block that encircles the switching position indicator on the front of the contactor. The additional switch block can preferably have the same cross section as the cross section of the contactor. In order to be able to dispense with additional springs for the latching means, as is required in the prior art, it is also advantageous if the latching means consist of resilient latching arms molded onto the additional switch block. Easy handling of the locking arms, in particular when releasing the additional switch block, can be achieved if parts of the locking arms protrude beyond the outer contours of the additional switch block. There is no need to press the locking arms together when attaching the additional switch block if the locking arms run parallel to the direction of actuation of the contactor and have wedge-shaped locking lugs such that the locking takes place when the additional switch block is connected to the contactor.

An exemplary embodiment according to the invention is described with reference to the drawing.

The contactor or electromagnetic switching device 1 consists of the lower housing part 2 and the cover part 3. In the lower housing part the magnetic drive, which is not shown in more detail, is housed and in the cover part the contact arrangement with the flat plug connections 4 for Fixed contact parts, which can be connected via contact bridges, as well as the part forming the actuating element 5 or contact bridge support for the movable contact bridges with the switching position indicator 6. On the lower housing part 2 for holding the contactor on a mounting rail 7 on opposite sides, resilient strips 8 are fastened which Snap hook 9 establish the connection of the lower housing part with the mounting rail 7. These resilient strips can be provided on both sides of the lower housing part 2, so that the contactor can be removed from both sides. For connection to an additional switch block 10 are hooks 11 and 12, which protrude approximately at the four corners of a rectangle from a side wall of the housing of the switch block, of which the hooks 11 face the mounting level, ie the mounting rail 7 and the hooks 12 on the edge of the The face of the switch block are molded. The hooks 11 and 12 are shown with dashed openings 13 or recesses 14 in the lower housing part 2 or in the cover part 3 of the contactor 1, so that the additional switch block 10 after movement in the direction of arrow 15 to rest on one side surface of the contactor 1 is coming. By moving in the direction of arrow 16, ie a side surface of the contactor 1 and a side surface of the switch block 10 slide on each other, the hooks become effective. In order to prevent the switch block from sliding back, latching arms 17 are provided, which are molded onto the housing and spring slightly. At the free ends of the arms 17 wedge-shaped locking lugs 18 are formed, which each latch a recess 19 when the switch block 10 is moved in the direction of arrow 16 behind the edge. The free end of the locking arms 17 abuts against the inner wall 20 of the cover part 3 so that it is not necessary to tension the locking arms during insertion. Bulges 21 of the latching arms 17, which protrude beyond the outer contour of the switch block 10 and are easily used, are used for releasing Thumb and index finger can be grasped. On the front side, the switch block 10, like the contactor itself, has flat plug connections 4 for the fixed contact parts. With the actuating element 22 of the switch block 10, a ring 23 is connected which, when the block 10 is pushed in in the direction of the arrow 16, is positively brought together with the switch position indicator 6, so that an essentially backlash-free coupling takes place between the actuating elements 5 and 22. Since both the contactor 1 and the switch block 10 have the same cross-section, a uniform device block results after the switch block 10 is attached. A separate attachment to the mounting rail 7 is not necessary. The field of domestic appliance shooters has proven to be a particularly advantageous field of application for the subject matter of the invention.
