Abstract

An indicating device for which the passengers waiting at a floor can recognize immediately whether the calls entered by them at the floor for desired destination floors have been assigned to an arriving car so that rapid entry decisions can be taken. To this purpose, the indicating device includes a first and a second indicator element in the form of an upward and a downward arrow, and a third indicator element signaling an entry prohibition. A floor circuit connected with the indicator by way of three inputs activates through the first and second inputs, the first and the second indicator elements respectively, if the entered calls are assigned to the arriving car, and by way of the third input activates the third indicator element, if the entered calls have not been assigned to a car arriving at a floor.

Description

The invention relates to a display device for the elevators of an elevator group, call registering devices for the input of calls for desired target floors being arranged on the floors and a group control device being provided by means of which the calls can be allocated to the cabins of the elevator group, and indicators being provided on the floors are, which have display elements that indicate to the passengers waiting on the floors whether or not the desired destination floor can be reached with an arriving cabin.

With US-A-3 374 864 a group control has become known in which the desired destination floor can already be entered on the entry floor. For this purpose, call buttons for each floor are arranged on the floors, while no call buttons are provided in the cabin. The control works in such a way that the cabin intended for a destination floor announces the destination floor in the form of the floor number by means of a visual display device on arrival on the entry floor, so that passengers who want to change the destination floor do not enter incorrectly. In this group control designed for three floors and two elevators, the display device only has to display the numbers of two floors, which can easily be detected by waiting passengers. In larger systems with many floors, such a display device must be designed for the corresponding number of floors, so that reading the display device requires increased attention of the waiting passengers, particularly in heavy traffic and cabins with a large capacity, takes longer time and makes fast boarding decisions impossible.

In elevators with call buttons arranged in the cabin, as is described, for example, in DE-U-1 773 352, it is known to arrange directional arrows above or next to the landing door, which light up when a cabin enters a floor and indicate the direction of the onward journey. Such display devices tell the waiting passengers at first glance whether the direction of travel of the cabin corresponds to the desired direction of travel, so that quick boarding decisions can be made. However, this type of display is not suitable for controls according to the prior art mentioned above.

The invention has for its object to provide a display device for controls according to the first-mentioned prior art, in which the passengers waiting on a floor can quickly and easily recognize even with larger elevator systems and heavy traffic whether an arriving cabin on them Calls entered for the desired target floors are assigned or not.

This object is achieved by the invention characterized in claim 1. Here, the indicator of the display device consists of a first and a second display element in the form of an up and down arrow known from the last-mentioned prior art, as well as a further display element signaling a ban on boarding. A circuit connected to the indicator activates the first or the second display element when the calls arriving on a floor are assigned the calls entered on this floor for desired destination floors. The further display element is activated if the calls arriving on a floor are not assigned the calls entered on this floor for the desired destination floors.

As can be seen from the solution described above, the up and down arrows of the display device according to the invention are significantly more meaningful than the prior art. In combination with the other display element, the advantages achieved with the invention can be seen in the fact that, even in the case of larger elevator systems and heavy traffic, the passengers waiting on one floor can immediately recognize whether an incoming cabin can serve the calls entered for desired destination floors or not , so that quick boarding decisions can be made. Since the display device only needs three display symbols regardless of the number of floors, it can be designed more cost-effectively than a display device which displays the floor numbers.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 is a schematic representation of an elevator of an elevator group with the display device according to the invention,
  • 2 shows a display of the display device when a first display element is activated,
  • 3 shows the indicator of the display device when a second display element is activated,
  • Fig. 4 shows the indicator of the display device when activating a further display element and
  • 5 shows an arrangement of the call buttons and indicators of the display devices on one floor in the case of an elevator group consisting of three elevators.

In FIG. 1, 1 denotes a part of an elevator shaft of an elevator group consisting of several elevators, for example comprising five floors E4-E8, in which a car 3 which can be driven by a conveyor cable 2 is guided. Call registration devices 4 are provided on the floors, which have call buttons arranged, for example, in the form of a 1-key keyboard, by means of which calls can be entered for trips to the desired destination floors. In this case, when a call is entered, a cabin call denoting the destination floor and a floor call denoting the entry floor are stored. The call registration devices 4 are connected to a group control device 5, only one part of which is assigned to a specific elevator of the group is shown, the one Floor call memory 6, a car call memory 7 and a selector 8 comprises. As is known, the selector 8 signals the floor on which the moving cabin 3 could still stop if a stop command is present. The group control device 5, which is similar, for example, to the group control device proposed by EP 0 032 213, works in such a way that newly arriving calls are allocated to those cabins which can serve these calls in the shortest possible time.

Der Ausgang des dritten UND-Gliedes 13 ist mit einem dritten Eingang e3 des Anzeigers 10 verbunden.9 designates circuits assigned to the floors, which are connected on the input side to the group control device 5 and on the output side to indicators 10 arranged on the floors. The circuits 9 shown only for the floors E5 and E7 consist of a first and a second, three-input AND gate 11, 12, a third, fourth and fifth, two-input AND gate 13, 14, 15 and one NOT gate 16. The first and second AND gate 11, 12 are each connected via an input to an output of the selector 8 assigned to the relevant floor, and via a respective other input to a conductor 17 which is used when stopping on a floor leads to a stop signal. The first AND gate 11 is connected via a further input to the output of the memory cell of the floor call memory 6 assigned to the respective floor. The further input of the second AND gate 12 is connected to the output of the memory cell of the car call memory 7 assigned to the same floor. The output of the first AND gate 11 is connected to an input of the fourth and fifth AND gate 14, 15. The other input of the fourth AND gate 14 is connected to a conductor 18 carrying an upward travel signal, while the other input of the fifth AND gate 15 is connected to a conductor 19 carrying a downward travel signal. The output of the fourth AND gate 14 is connected to a first input e1 and that of the fifth AND gate 15 to a second input e2 of the indicator 10. One input of the third AND gate 13 is connected to the output of the second AND gate 12, while the other input is connected via the NOT gate 16 to the output of the memory cell of the floor call memory 6 assigned to the relevant floor. The output of the third AND gate 13 is connected to a third input e3 of the indicator 10.

According to FIGS. 2-4, the display 10 consists of a first and a second display element 21, 22 in the form of an up and down arrow, and a further display element 23 in the form of an X symbol, which signals a ban on boarding. The display elements 21, 22, 23 are formed by light-emitting diodes 24 which are attached to a print (not shown further) and are covered by a plate 25 perforated in accordance with the display symbols. When the display elements 21, 22, 23 are activated via the relevant inputs e1, e2, e3, (FIG. 1), the first and second display elements 21, 22 light up green, and the further display element 23 lights up red.

Die Anzeiger 10 sind vorzugsweise über den Stockwerktüren 20 angebracht.5 shows 20 storey doors, between which the call registration devices 4 are arranged. The indicators 10 are preferably mounted above the floor doors 20.

The display device described above works as follows: It is assumed that the upward-moving car 3 of an elevator of the elevator group has been assigned a floor call for floor E7 and two calls entered on this floor for destination floors E 10 and E 12, these on the floor or cabin call memories 6, 7 stored calls in FIG. 1 are marked with “1”) in accordance with the usual logical symbols. Since the selector signal, the stop signal and the upward continuation signal are logic “1” when the car 3 on the floor E7 is stopped according to the logic chosen, for example, the first and fourth AND elements 11, 14 and the first input e1 of the indicator 10 activates the first display element 21. Here, the up arrow lights up green, indicating to the waiting passengers that the cabin 3 will service the calls they have entered.

As a further example, assume that cabin 3 must stop during a downward journey due to a cabin call on floor E5 (FIG. 1). Since the selector and stop signals are then logic “1” and the output of the memory cell of the storey call memory 6 assigned to floor E5 is logic “0”, the third AND gate 13 becomes the third AND gate 13 via the second AND gate 12 and the third input e3 of the indicator 10 activates the further display element 23. The X-symbol lights up red, indicating to the passengers waiting on floor E5 that they are not allowed to get in because the calls they entered were not assigned to this cabin.

In extension of the example described above, it may be assumed that the car 3 was also assigned a floor call for floor E5 and a call entered on this floor for target floor E3. Since, in this case, in addition to the selector and stop signal, the downward travel signal and the output of the memory cell of the floor call memory 6 assigned to the floor E5 are logical “1”, the first and fifth AND gates 11, 15 and the second input e2 of the Indicator 10 activates the second display element 22. Here, the down arrow lights up green, which indicates to the passenger waiting on floor E5 that cabin 3 will serve the call entered by him.
