Abstract

In this process for the production of multilayer glass plates with a plurality of glass panes spaced from one another in a frame and with hardenable synthetic material and shaped bodies in the intermediate space between the panes, there is applied to a horizontally positioned first pane (1) the synthetic material (2) before it hardens from a viscous state in selected places and in uneven thickness; the shaped bodies (4) are then brought onto or between the places containing the synthetic material, whereupon a second pane (3) is laid at a spaced interval over the first pane (1) and the set consisting of the two panes is surrounded with a frame (7). In order to bond the two panes of glass together with the synthetic material, the two panes are laid one upon another, turned 180 DEG and maintained in this position while the viscous synthetic material flows downwardly forming threads or drops which join the two panes and bonds them together when the synthetic material is hardened.

Description

The invention relates to a method for producing decorative composite glass plates.

It is known (Brit.Pat. 1 150 238) to produce decorative glass elements in that two panes are arranged at a distance from one another and liquid plastic is brought into the space between the two panes. The disadvantage here is the need to fill the entire space with plastic, which also leads to increased costs because of the labor-intensive work. If bubbles are to be brought into the plastic in this case, the air must be brought under pressure in a complex process into the space which is filled with plastic.

It is also known (Fr.Pat. 1 259 038, P 20 08 415.5, P 14 46 858.7) to introduce and glue foreign bodies, e.g. glass pieces, into the space after preparation to produce decorative elements. Special shapes such as B. streaks or ice flower patterns can not be produced with this method, which is disadvantageous because these structures are varied and very attractive.

For better insulation, it is often necessary to assemble several components into insulating glass. There is a risk that moisture penetrates into the plastic or adhesive used from the outside, so that the component will fog up and become unsightly.

It was the object of the present invention to propose a method for producing decorative laminated glass panels which avoids the disadvantages mentioned and can be produced in a cost-saving manner. In addition, the Ge importance of the laminated glass plate can be reduced to facilitate production and transportation.

Fig. 1),
Fig. 2),
Fig. 3) und
Fig. 4).
This decorative laminated glass plate consists of several panes arranged from each other with hardenable plastic and molded bodies in the space between the panes. The new process for the production of these plates is characterized according to the invention in that
  • 1. on a horizontally lying first pane (1) plastic (2) is applied in places in a viscous state and in an uneven thickness (according to FIG. 1),
  • 2. molded articles (4) are placed on or between the plastic-coated areas (according to FIG. 2),
  • 3. a second disc (3) is placed over the first disc (1),
  • 4. the package consisting of the two panes is possibly surrounded by the frame (7),
  • 5. the package rotated by 180 ° (according to Fig. 3) and
  • 6. is held in this position until the viscous plastic no longer flows downward with the formation of threads or drops (according to FIG. 4).

By applying the plastic at different thicknesses, material is saved and costs are reduced accordingly. The formation of streaks or bubbles by compressing the two panes depends on the application and the toughness of the plastic and can be set in a wide ratio: occupied area / unoccupied area. Each shape or structure is unique and cannot be made identically a second time. B. is advantageous for buildings. Structures such as real antique glass can be achieved by applying the plastic or adhesive with the spatula.

Special shapes and structures with peculiar refraction of light result when the plastic is aligned lengthways tion of the pane is applied with increasing thickness and the two panes are pressed together in an inclined position.

Concave and convex areas are obtained in the surface of the panes if the frame surrounding the package is tightened unevenly.

If particularly high sound and heat insulation is to be achieved, in a further development of the invention, a smaller pane than the second pane is used as the first pane, and after turning over a third pane - with the dimensions of the first one - on the package at a distance above the first Disc placed. The cavity between the second disc on the one hand and the third disc on the other hand is at least partially filled with molecular sieve material on the outside at the edge of the package, after which the remaining space on the edge is sealed with a moisture-repellent putty.

  • Fig. 1-3 drei Verfahrensschritte bei der Herstellung,
  • Fig. 4,5 zwei Ausbildungsformen der Platte und
  • Fig. 6 eine Platte mit drei Scheiben.
The method according to the invention is shown for example in the figures. Show it
  • 1-3 three process steps in the manufacture,
  • Fig. 4,5 two forms of training of the plate and
  • Fig. 6 shows a plate with three disks.

The viscous plastic (2) is applied in different thicknesses to the horizontally lying disc (1) (FIG. 1) and molded pieces (4) are inserted. Then the second disc (3) is placed at a distance (Fig. 2). The resulting package is provided with the frame (4) and rotated through 180 °. Depending on the toughness of the plastic, which slowly hardens, downward threads or drops form, which can reach the second disc with a longer dwell time (Fig. 3).

If both discs are pressed firmly together (Fig. 4), the plastic also comes into contact with the second disc. Fig. 5 shows the formation of the plate with increased distance for better sound and heat insulation.

In order to prevent air moisture from penetrating into the space between the two plates, the disc (3), which is smaller than the other two discs (1 and 5) (e.g. 30 mm), is between the two discs 1 and 5 arranged (Fig. 6). For water vapor absorption, a container (8) with molecular sieve material (9) is provided on the edge, which is perforated inwards. With a kit layer (6) the entire panel is sealed to the outside in a water vapor-tight manner.

It is also conceivable, according to FIG. 5, to dispense with the counter plate 3.
