Abstract

Decorative plaque comprises articles (e.g. twigs leaves) embedded in drops of hardened transparent adhesive (e.g. methacrylic resin) on the surface of a hard transparent substrate (e.g. methacrylic resin). Some of the drops may contain a colourant and the substrate may be planed or curved. Several plaques may be superimposed and secured together in a frame. When mounted on a reflective surface, e.g. a light coloured wad, the plaque gives the appearance of running water.
