Description

The invention relates to an electrical installation device which is used as a low-voltage high-performance fuse (NH fuse) and is provided with an NH fuse base and an NH fuse link which can be connected to the NH fuse base.

In addition to circuit breakers as main fuses or pre-fuses, NH fuses are generally installed in electrical distribution systems. These NH fuses each consist of an NH fuse link and a NH fuse base, which is prepared for this and in which these are inserted with a special handling device. For this purpose, the lower parts normally have an insulating plate as a support plate, to which L-shaped contact angles are attached at a distance from one another. The leg ends, which run perpendicular to the insulating material or support plate, carry fork contacts which are spring-loaded by an annular spring and into which knife contacts located on the NH fuse links are clamped. The legs of the contact angle arranged parallel to the insulating material support plate and fastened thereon are designed as contact pieces and with Provide clamping screws for connecting supply and discharge conductors. The NH fuses are in turn in a connection housing, which is usually sealed.

The known NH fuses have fuse links, which after a response, i. H. need to be replaced after melting due to an overcurrent. Here, the connection housing must be opened and its seal must be released.

According to the applicable regulations, the NH fuse links may only be replaced by an authorized specialist, who must also replace the lead seal on the connection housing equipped with the NH fuses. This affects the handling of the NH fuse.

The object of the invention is to improve the handling of the NH fuses.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.

According to the invention, instead of the usual NH fuse link, an automatic circuit breaker is provided, the knife contacts attached to which engage in the fork contact pieces of the NH fuse base. In the event of a response, the switch contact located in the circuit breaker opens automatically and thus interrupts the current flow. After eliminating the cause of the response, the switching contact can be closed by hand by operating a switching knob without having to open the connection housing. This can be done by any person without risk, ie an authorized specialist is no longer required in this case.

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, a commercially available circuit breaker can be provided, with clamping screws provided for connecting the current conductors, to which connecting lugs are fastened, which have knife contacts, which can then be inserted into the fork contacts. The connection lugs on the circuit breaker are installed on site by an approved specialist during the initial installation.

To protect against contact with the exposed connecting lugs, cover caps are provided which are snapped onto the narrow sides of the circuit breaker and which face the opposite side of the knife contacts, ie. H. protrude the front of the circuit breaker, with a nose-shaped projection, which is prepared for coupling a trigger device adapted for commercial NH fuse links.

Of course, there is also the possibility of integrating the connection contact into the housing of the circuit breaker, which can be done at the factory. In this case, however, the front of the housing of the circuit breaker must be supplemented with coupling lugs for the trigger device.

Further advantageous refinements and improvements of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The invention is to be explained and described in more detail with reference to the drawing in which an exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown.

This lower fuse part 10 has an insulating material carrier 11, on the upper surface of which L-shaped contact angles 12 and 13 are arranged at a distance from one another. The legs of the contact pieces 14 and 15, which run perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the carrier 11, carry fork contacts 16, 17; these fork contacts 16, 17 are generally known and therefore do not need to be described in detail. The legs 18 and 19 which run parallel to the longitudinal extent of the insulating material carrier 11 carry clamping screws 20 and 21 to which supply and discharge elements (not shown in more detail) can be connected. Protection is intended for this NH fuse base 10 Switch 22 are placed, which triggers automatically or can be operated by hand by means of a switching knob 24. The switch toggle 26 is arranged on the front of the circuit breaker 22 and is shown in FIG. 1 on the right side of the circuit breaker 22 shown in a side view. On the rear surface 25, connecting lugs 26 emerge from the circuit breaker 22, on which knife contact pieces 30, 31 are formed, which engage in the fork contacts 16, 17 of the NH fuse-lower part 10. The connection lugs 26, 28 are each electrically conductively connected to a switch contact (not shown) of the circuit breaker 22, so that a current flows when the switch contacts are closed. When the switching knob 26 is actuated or in the case of irregular operating conditions, the circuit breaker 22 trips in a known manner and interrupts the circuit.

On an NH fuse base 10, the design of which corresponds identically to that shown in FIG. 1 and whose individual components are therefore provided with the same reference numbers, a circuit breaker 23 is placed, which also trips automatically or can be actuated manually by means of a switching knob 26.

In contrast to the design familiar from FIG. 1, no connecting lugs protrude from the bottom side 25 of the circuit breaker 23. Instead, U-shaped angled connecting lugs 28 are provided, which can be inserted with a leg 34 into the terminals of the circuit breaker, not shown in detail.

The terminals, which are not described in any more detail, are designed in a known manner, the terminal bridge being acted upon by two screws.

On its parallel leg 36, which, together with a conductor piece 38 arranged perpendicular thereto, forms the U-shaped angled connecting lug 28, a contact lug 40 is formed at an angle of 90 °, to which a knife contact 31 connects, integrally connected to it.

In order to mechanically connect the connecting lugs 28 to the circuit breaker 23, a through bore 42 is provided in the leg 36, the position of which corresponds to a corresponding bore 44 in the housing of the circuit breaker 23. Screws 46 are guided through these mutually aligned bores 42, 44, which are screwed on the side facing the NH lower part by means of nuts 47. By this attachment to the housing of the circuit breaker 23, the terminals of the circuit breaker 23 are mechanically relieved.

The shape of the connecting lugs 28 is dimensionally adapted to the clearance profile of the circuit breaker 23 and lies close to its surface. The outer dimensions of the circuit breaker 23 thereby increase on the narrow sides and on the bottom surface in each case by the thickness of the connecting lugs 28 designed as current conductors.

According to the invention, provision can be made to eliminate this dimensional protrusion by the connecting lugs being sunk into corresponding recesses on the housing of the circuit breaker 23.

A recess is outlined with hatched lines 48, which receives the connection terminal (not shown in more detail) and the motor space required for fastening the connecting lugs 28.

B. Neusilber, Kupfer o. ä., geformt. In Fig. 3, a connecting tab 28 is shown in perspective. As already known from Fig. 2, the connecting tab 28 is in the form of a U-shaped double bracket made of a flat rod made of conductive material z. B. nickel silver, copper or the like.

The upper free leg 34 is provided for connection to the terminals of the circuit breaker 23. For exact adjustment, this leg 34 is set in two steps.

A first step 48 serves as a stop against the housing of the circuit breaker, while a second step 50, which is arranged towards the free end, serves as a stop for the connecting terminal.

With the aid of the steps 48, 50, the assembly of the connecting lug 28 on the circuit breaker 23 is considerably simplified, since the connecting lug 28 is thereby correctly positioned without any further adjustment effort when it is inserted.

Im eingebauten Zustand bildet dieses Leiterstück 38 die äußere Begrenzung des Schutzschalters 23.The connecting lug 28 continues at a right angle to the leg 34 in a conductor piece 38. In the installed state, this conductor piece 38 forms the outer boundary of the circuit breaker 23.

The length of the conductor piece 38 corresponds to the horizontal distance of the bottom surface 25 of the circuit breaker 23 to its terminal, d. H. the leg 36, which adjoins it at right angles at the lower end of the conductor piece 38, is so angled that it can be inserted tightly into the circuit breaker 23 by hand, but with a certain amount of force in order to bend the resilient legs 34, 36, and already without it further measure maintains its location.

Nevertheless, as an additional safeguard to fix the position, the connecting lug 28 is fastened to the housing of the circuit breaker 23 by means of a screw connection. For this purpose, the connecting lug 28 is provided with a bore 52 in the leg 36, which runs as an elongated hole in the longitudinal direction of the leg 36 to compensate for tolerances. Aligned with this bore 52, illustrated by the line XX, a further bore 54 is provided in the leg 34, which serves as an assembly opening through which the fastening screws in the bore 52 can be accessed by means of a tool.

A contact lug 40 is formed on the free end of the leg 26 at right angles, to which a knife contact 31 connects, the longitudinal axis of which extends parallel to that of the leg 36 and thus parallel to the longitudinal axis of the circuit breaker 23.

To strengthen the connecting lug 28, the leg 36 is additionally provided with stiffening ribs 56, 58, by means of which the bending stiffness of this arrangement is increased.

One recognizes a rectangular, elongated base plate 62 adapted to the width of the circuit breaker 23, on the side edges 64 and 65 of which a leg 66 and 67 forming a U are formed; the legs 66, 67 have different lengths; an area 68 with a short leg length is connected via an inclined surface or bevel edge 63 to an area 69 with a longer leg length; this leg length is the side contour of the circuit breaker 23, adapted so that the end edges of the legs 66 and 67 connect exactly to the narrow side surface.

A roof part 71 adjoins the upper edge 70 of the base plate 62 at a right angle and continues in a transverse wall 72 which is arranged parallel to the base plate 6. The transverse wall 72 carries a roof-shaped projection 74 which also adjoins it at right angles.

The projection 74 projects laterally in some areas and thus forms extensions 76 on both sides, which are interrupted by a transverse slot 77.

A coupling part 78, which has two mutually parallel stiffening ribs 80, is placed on the projection 74 symmetrically to an imaginary center line. The free end of the coupling part 78 merges into a crosspiece 82 with a T-shaped attachment 84. The coupling part 78 has a step 86 in its horizontal course, as a result of which a gap 88 is formed between the coupling part 78 and the free end 75 of the projection 74. in which the housing wall of the circuit breaker 23 engages when the cover 60 is snapped open.

Durch die Querwand 72 der Abdeckkappe 60 wird ein Raum 29 begrenzt, welcher von oben Zugang gewährt zu nicht näher dargestellten Klemmschrauben, wenn die Abdeckung 60 abgenommen ist.FIG. 5 shows a side view of the circuit breaker 23 designed according to the invention with covers 60, the course of the connecting lug 28 in cooperation with the cover 60 according to the invention being shown in broken lines in regions. The reference numerals correspond to the features already explained in FIGS. 2 to 4. In this respect, only further details not yet mentioned will be discussed here. A space 29 is delimited by the transverse wall 72 of the cover cap 60, which allows access from above to clamping screws, not shown, when the cover 60 is removed.

Abziehen des Schutzschalters vom NH-Sicherungsunterteil 10 über das Kupplungsteil 78 zu übertragen.FIG. 6 shows the view of a narrow side of the arrangement shown in FIG. 5. In this illustration it is particularly clear how the projections 76 formed on the roof-shaped projection 74 engage in guide grooves 90 recessed for this purpose in the housing of the circuit breaker 23 and in this way enable forces acting from the direction of the arrow P to put on or remove the circuit breaker from the NH Lower fuse part 10 to be transmitted via the coupling part 78.

According to the invention, the automatic circuit breaker 22, 23 replaces the fuse provided so far, the current being supplied by means of connecting tabs 26 or connecting tabs 28 provided with knife contacts 30, 31, each of which is electrically conductively connected to the contacts of the circuit breaker 22, 23.

The use of the NH fuse according to the invention is provided if the existing installation designed with the NH fuse base is to be retained and only the fuse link is to be replaced in order to avoid the effort otherwise required for its future renewal.
