Abstract
Description
There are essentially two methods of assembling a sheet and a rinsing tank in order to produce a sink or a rinser. When the depth of the rinsing tank does not allow stamping in one piece from the sheet, it is necessary to assemble these two elements, i.e. on the one hand the sheet and, on the other hand, the rinsing tank which constitutes the essential element of a rinser, in particular for brewery glasses or a sink.
According to a first technique, the upper edge, folded at a right angle, of the tank is slid outside the folded rim itself also at a right angle to the orifice provided for this purpose in the sheet metal of the sink or of the rinser and the two elements are assembled by soldering with tin for example.
A sink or rinser made in this way has a lack of finish which is not admissible if you want to market and offer for sale a product of high specification.
According to a second technique, a tank is assembled by electric welding with or without filler metal, the edge of which has been folded down at approximately right angles and the sheet metal of the sink cut to the shape of the tank and the parts are ground in this way. assembled at the place of welding. This procedure gives a product which has a satisfactory appearance, but the welding and the grinding operation require complicated, expensive and relatively bulky equipment. Whereas the sheet and the tank which must be attached to it represent a large volume, the space that these two elements constitute is very large, which leads to the use of welding and polishing machines, certain parts of which, in particular a neck swan essential, have significant dimensions. Of moreover, the grinding operation sometimes reveals defects in the assembly, which must obviously also be avoided at all costs.
The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to propose a method for producing a rinser or sink which can be carried out without using heavy, bulky and expensive industrial equipment. In addition, the process allows much faster work and, as we will see, the rigidity of the sink sheet can be obtained by the same operation.
To achieve these objectives, in accordance with the invention, one starts from a sheet in which at least one cutout is made to the dimensions of the rinsing tank, a profile is produced along the edge of said cutout, and assembly is carried out. of said profile of the sheet with a rinsing or sink tank by making use of a layer of synthetic material which forms a body with the back of the aforementioned sheet, at least in the vicinity of said tank and the adjacent external surface of the rinsing or sink tank.
Still according to the invention, and in order to obtain a perfect seal practically in a single operation, there is a seal between the aforementioned profile and the part folded outwards from the aforementioned tank, said seal being produced by making use of '' a silicone coating or its technical equivalent.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, polyurethane or its technical equivalent is used as the synthetic material used to secure the sheet and the aforementioned rinsing or sink tank.
An attractive feature of the process according to the invention lies in the fact that the entire reverse side of the aforementioned sheet is coated with polyurethane, in order to achieve its rigidity.
Other details and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which will be given below of a process for producing a rinser or sink, according to the invention. This description is given by way of example only and does not limit the invention. The reference notations refer to the attached figures.
Figure 1 is a sectional view showing the sheet of the sink or rinser before the tank is placed in the cutout for this purpose.
Figure 2 is a section similar to Figure 1 which shows the completed assembly between the sheet and the tank.
The process illustrated by these figures consists in depositing a tank 1 in the cutout made to the dimensions of the tank of the
The inner edge of the cutting of the
In FIG. 2, the mass of polyurethane which has set is represented by the
As can easily be imagined, the strong adhesion of the
Rinsers or sinks of standard or other dimensions are produced by using, for each model of tank and sheet, an appropriate mold element which allows the injection of a polyurethane of more or less high density according to the power of expansion of the mass injected.
A sink or rinser produced in accordance with the process according to the invention has an impeccable finished appearance.
It is obvious that the invention also applies to sinks and rinsers which have been known to be produced in accordance with the process described and which have a sheet of any profile whatsoever which has been assembled to a tank by the injection of synthetic material and in particular of polyurethane of more or less high density.
In addition, the invention is not limited to the embodiment which has just been described and many modifications could be made to it without departing from the scope of this patent application.
