Description

The invention relates to a storage magazine for insertion into a device for removing individual sheet films, preferably X-ray sheet films, into which sheet films can be inserted as a stack in a light-tight, preferably on a tear-open tab with the storage magazine closed on one side, the storage magazine consisting of at least one top there is a partially open box, which can be closed by a lid, for the stack located in the wrapper and, on the side of the box opposite the tear-open flap, a winding device with an externally drivable winding shaft for hanging and winding a wrapping flap of the wrapper together with this after the storage magazine has been closed is.

Storage magazines of a similar type are known, for example, from DE-GMS 77 25 804 or DE-PS 34 05 423. In the case of such known magazines, it is not possible to recognize after their closure whether the wrapper is actually so far from the stack that the individual film sheets can be removed from the stack.

The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a storage magazine of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it can be seen whether the covering is wound onto the winding shaft when it rotates.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of the first claim. Further advantageous features of the invention can be found in the subclaims.

Devices for unloading and loading X-ray sheet film cassettes are known, which have drawers for inserting storage magazines 2 for sheet film stacks of different formats. The sheet film stacks have so far been removed from their light-tight envelopes in a darkroom, placed in a storage magazine 2 and then inserted into the corresponding drawer of the device in the closed magazine. The magazine is tightly enclosed and opened so that, if necessary, a sheet can be taken from above from a film stack of the required sheet size and inserted into a previously emptied cassette. In a known device of this type according to DE-PS 31 22 583, storage magazines have already been used which consist of a box 2a, which is only partially open at the top, and a cover according to DE-PS 31 22 582, which is designed as a slide tube 2b. The entry opening of the box 2a is adjacent to the end face 2h of the box 2a lying in the direction of entry 3 of the magazine 2 in the device. The input opening is only so large that a film stack can be inserted into and positioned in the box 2a and that it can be closed in a light-tight manner by the slide tube 2b in the advanced state. In the known magazines 2, the rear magazine end face 2d in the input direction 3 is firmly attached to the box 2a and is designed as a grip part for inserting the magazine 2 into the device 1 and for removing it therefrom.

In order to be able to use a magazine 2 as a daylight magazine, i.e. for inserting a film stack including its light-tight wrapping 4 and for removing the wrapping 4 from the film stack after the magazine 2 has been closed, the rear magazine end face 2d is foldable and light-tight in its folded state Rear wall. Immediately behind it inside the box 2a, a winding shaft 6 is mounted on the side walls of the box 2a or the rear wall 2d. It has clips 7 with which a winding tab 4a of a newly inserted casing 4 can be firmly clamped to the winding shaft 6. The take-up shaft 6 can be coupled directly or via gearwheels with a take-up crank 10 which is led out of the rear wall 2d in a light-tight manner. The latter can have a foldable hinge, not shown, so that it can be pivoted into the functional position shown in FIG. 1 or into a non-use position pivoted into a recess 2e of the rear wall 2d. The latter should not occupy the position of use when inserting the magazine 2 into the device 1. The magazine 2 according to the figures is designed such that a tear-off bar is attached to the front edge 2g of the slide cover 2b looking in the direction of insertion 3 above the input opening.

The mode of operation of the exemplary embodiment shown of a storage magazine 2 according to the invention will now be described for a better understanding of the invention. To reload an empty magazine 2, both the input opening by opening the slide cover 2b and the take-up shaft 6 are opened by opening the rear wall 2d. Then the wrapping 4 of the film stack which has already been removed is drawn off from the winding shaft 6 and a stiffening and holding box provided under the empty stack is removed from the box. The latter has a raised stop on the back. The holding box ( * ) together with the stop serves to prevent the stack or individual sheets from being displaced when the cover 4 is removed from the stack in a closed magazine 2 by being carried along by the cover. A new film stack including the wrapping 4 is then inserted into the box 2a through the input opening, the take-up flap 4a being guided into the area of the take-up shaft 6 and being clamped onto the take-up shaft 6 by means of the clamps 7. The closing flap 4b of the sheathing in the direction of insertion 3 of the magazine 2a into the device 1 should be able to be torn off in a simple manner when the magazine 2 is closed and is therefore used as a tear-open tab 4b designated. This tear-open tab 4b is thus placed with the magazine 2 open so that it looks out of the magazine between the tear-off bar and the surface of the end face of the box 2h after the magazine has been closed. This position is shown in Figures 1 and 2. Then the crank 10 is swung out and the rear wall 2d is also closed, cf. Figures 1 and 2. Finally, the tear tab 4b is separated by hand along and along the tear bar. Thus, the cover 4 in the closed magazine 2 is open on the front side, so that it can now be pulled off to the rear without any noticeable expenditure of force. Therefore, the crank 10 is now moved, whereby the shaft 6 is rotated. The take-up flap 4a and sheathing 4 are preferably completely wound onto the shaft 6. Now the newly loaded magazine is inserted into the corresponding compartment of the device.

In the magazine 2 described so far, it is now not possible to see whether the wrapping of the wrapping on the winding shaft 6 and thus the removal of the wrapping 4 from the stack has actually taken place properly. For example, it would not be recognizable if, when the crank 10 was rotated, the tabs 4a detached from the take-up shaft 6 and the casing had not been removed from the stack, which led to considerable malfunctions in the device for unloading and loading the film cassettes. Therefore, a display device according to the invention for displaying a correct winding of the wrapping onto the winding shaft 6 will now be described.

The principle of this display device is based on the fact that a light-tightly guided, radially movable to the winding shaft 6 scanning element 15 rests resiliently on the winding shaft. If the diameter of the winding shaft 6 now increases as a result of the sheathing 4 wound thereon, the scanning member 15 is pressed radially outward by the winding shaft 6. This movement can now be displayed directly or via a display element 16 coupled to the scanning element 15 in a viewing window 17. The viewing window 17 is to be arranged in the magazine part in which the take-up shaft 6 is mounted, that is, according to the exemplary embodiment shown, on the hinged rear wall 2d.

In this case, a light-tight intermediate wall 2i must be provided between the viewing window 17 or the wall part in which the viewing window 17 is arranged and the winding shaft 6, through which the scanning member 15 is guided in a light-tight and movable manner. For this purpose, all known, suitable light-tight bushings, such as labyrinth steps or sealing rings made of felt or plastic, can be used, so that light-tight storage is not discussed further.

According to the exemplary embodiment shown, the viewing window 17 is arranged in the rear end of the magazine or the rear of the rear wall 2d. The scanning element is designed as a pin 15 which is guided through the partition 2i parallel to the rear in a light-tight manner and is movable perpendicularly to it. A sector of a thin drum serves as display element 16 and can be rotated about a sufficient angle piece about an axis 18 perpendicular to the pin axis and the axis of the winding shaft 6. A substantially radial boundary 16a of the drum sector 16 has a protruding cam 16b which bears against the end 15a of the scanning pin 15 facing away from the winding shaft 6 under the action of a spring 19. The other essentially radial boundary 16c of the drum sector 16 has a step 16d with a bearing and guide pin 16e for the spring 19 designed as a helical spring. Another bearing and guide pin 2k for the spring 19 is provided on the side of the intermediate wall 2i facing the viewing window 17. Both bearing and guide pins 16e and 2k engage in the helical spring 19 from both ends and guide and support them as a result.

So that the drum sector 16 is now guided and a stop for the spring 19 is present, the inside of the wall part of the rear wall 2d which has the viewing window 17 is designed to a certain extent as an outer bearing part 2f which is complementary to the outer surface of the drum sector 16 and in which the outer surface of the drum sector 16 - and can slide away. The radial boundary 16c of the drum sector 16 projects radially beyond the lateral surface and thereby forms a stop 16f together with the radial boundary of the bearing part 2f.

In the initial state before the insertion of a film pack, the cams 16b rest under the action of the spring 19 on the scanning pin 15 and this on the winding shaft 6. If a sheathing 4 is fastened to the winding shaft 6 with its fastening tabs 4a, cf. 2, the rear wall 2d is closed and the crank 10 is rotated, the covering 4 is normally wound onto the winding shaft 6. Due to the increase in the winding diameter, the stylus 15 is pushed outward and rotates the drum sector 16 counterclockwise. This movement can be observed as an indication of a proper winding of the wrapping 4 in the viewing window 17. For this purpose, it may be expedient for the drum jacket surface to have a line pattern parallel to the jacket lines or a scale along its circumference, so that the movement of the drum sector 16 or the complete removal of the casing 4 from the film stack can be seen clearly.

If the viewing window is not arranged in accordance with FIG. 3 in the rear of the rear wall 2d, but in an upper or lower wall part of the rear wall 2d perpendicular thereto, but again outside the intermediate wall 2i above the end 15a of the pin 15, the pin 15 itself can also be used as Display means are used. It would then have to be correspondingly longer and, for example, have a scale along its longitudinal extent. The pressure spring could then simply be clamped as a compression spring between the pin end 15a and the rear end face of the rear wall 2d.
