Definitions
- the accompanying invention relates to glass ceramic hobs with radiant heaters.
- the aim of the present invention is a glass ceramic hob, which is constructed or its radiators are electrically connected so that the disadvantageous inertia of the radiant heater is avoided during the heating phase, but the high cost of radiators should be avoided with halogen lamps and at the same time the previous variety of radiator geometries should be retained.
- the invention can be implemented universally with all designs of radiant heaters (single-circuit, multi-circuit radiators) and can be combined with conventional regulating organs of radiant heaters.
- the cost of such solutions is significantly lower than that of radiators with halogen lamps.
- the heating conductors glow in seconds and become visible through the cooking surface. At the same time, you can feel the heat generated by the glowing heating conductor above the cooking surface immediately after switching on, which reinforces the impression of responsive heating.
- FIG. 1 shows a hob 10 according to the present invention with a mains connection 12 which is connected to a conventional power supply for hobs, e.g. 220 volts, is connected.
- a mains connection 12 which is connected to a conventional power supply for hobs, e.g. 220 volts, is connected.
- Several switching elements 14 are connected to the mains connection. For simplification, only one switching element 14 is shown in FIG. 1.
- a control element 16 which can be a stepless switch, is connected to this switching element in such a way that the output of the radiator is controlled after the first heating phase described.
- the heater 18 has a heating circuit which is arranged so that it is overloaded for a short time and glows visibly in a short time.
- the heating circuit is switched so that the current is reduced after this short time in order to avoid damage to the heating circuits due to the initial overload.
- a first embodiment of a radiator 18 is shown in Figure 2.
- the radiator 18 has a first heating conductor 20 and a second heating conductor 22, which are connected in parallel to the 220 volt voltage source during the first heating phase.
- the heating conductors 20 and 22 are switched from parallel to series connection for normal operation. Due to the total resistance of the heating conductors, the current flowing through is reduced, so that the initial overload is replaced by normal operation.
- a second embodiment of a radiator 18 is shown schematically in FIG. 3.
- the heating conductors 20, 22 are connected in parallel with one another and with a third heating conductor 24.
- the heating conductors 20, 22 are connected in series; but they remain in parallel with respect to the heating conductor 24. This increases the total resistance of the circuit, which leads to a reduction in the current flowing through the heating conductors 20, 22 while maintaining the voltage of 220 V.
- Figure 4 shows a circuit which operates according to the embodiment shown in Figure 2.
- the heating conductors 20 and 22 are shown as resistors.
- the 220 V voltage source is connected via suitable switching elements 14, regulating elements 16 and mains connection 12 at points 26 and 28 to the circuit.
- the radiators 18 have a rapid heating circuit with the switches 30, 32 and 34, which together e.g. can be controlled by the timer 36.
- the timer 36 automatically goes to zero position when there is no voltage at points 26 and 28.
- the switches 30, 32 and 34 are in the positions shown in FIG. 4.
- a current flows through the resistor 20 and the switch 30 and through the parallel connected resistor 22 and the switch 34. After a suitable period of time, e.g. 5-20 sec. The timer opens switches 30 and 34 and simultaneously closes switch 32. As a result, the current flows through resistors 20 and 22, which are now connected in series, and through switch 32. This mode of operation is maintained as long as the voltage at points 26, 28 is present. If the voltage is removed again, the timer 36 returns to the original position shown in FIG. 4.
- FIG. 5 schematically shows a circuit according to the embodiment in FIG. 3.
- an additional resistor 39 is used to heat the bimetal strip 38.
- This bimetal strip is connected to the switches 30, 32 and 34 in such a way that when sufficient heat has been generated by resistor 39, switch 30, 32 and 34 from the position shown, in which resistors 20 and 22 are connected in parallel, to the position in which resistors 20, 22 are connected in series via switch 32 are switched.
- This mode of operation is in turn maintained as long as voltage is present at points 26, 28.
- the position initially explained is assumed after a corresponding cooling time, which depends on the physical properties of the bimetal strip 38.
- FIG. 6 shows a further embodiment of the invention, wherein two heating conductors 20, 22 are permanently connected in parallel to each other.
- the heating conductors 20, 22 are connected in series with the resistor 40, which has a positive temperature coefficient such that the resistor 40 can flow a large current to the heating conductors 20, 22 in the cold state, but which decreases with increasing heating.
- FIG. 7 schematically shows a circuit that works according to FIG. 3.

Abstract
In the case of a hob with cooking surfaces made of glass ceramic or comparable material, which has radiant heaters with at least two heating circuits and associated control elements, these heating circuits are arranged in such a way or their heating conductors are wired and / or connected in terms of circuitry in such a way that one or more heating conductors are briefly connected during the heating phase can be overloaded so that they glow in the shortest possible time and thus glow through the transparent cooking surface.
Description
Die beiliegende Erfindung betrifft Glaskeramik-Kochfelder mit Strahlungsheizkörpern. The accompanying invention relates to glass ceramic hobs with radiant heaters.
Glass ceramic hobs with radiant heaters are known; they are inexpensive and have proven themselves millions of times over the years. These radiant heaters are relatively sluggish in the first minutes of heating due to the type and arrangement of the insulation material and the type and fixation of the heating conductor, since after switching on the mass of the heating conductor and the immediately adjacent insulation mass must first be heated. This means that the heating elements (heating conductors) do not glow in the first seconds after the radiator is switched on and are therefore not visible due to a sufficiently translucent glass ceramic cooking surface, which is perceived as a major disadvantage.
On the other hand, the housewife very much wishes that the switched on heating conductor is quickly visible in order to quickly recognize the heating element's status or to be able to recognize immediately if a heating element has been accidentally switched on. Not least for this reason, radiators for glass ceramic cooktops with halogen lamps were developed, in which the halogen lamps light up brightly immediately after switching on. The major drawback of these halogen lamps and radiators produced thereby is that they are very expensive and that special H eizkörpergeometrien, due to the only rod-shaped halogen lamps, can not be realized.
The aim of the present invention is a glass ceramic hob, which is constructed or its radiators are electrically connected so that the disadvantageous inertia of the radiant heater is avoided during the heating phase, but the high cost of radiators should be avoided with halogen lamps and at the same time the previous variety of radiator geometries should be retained.
This goal is achieved with a hob according to
The invention can be implemented universally with all designs of radiant heaters (single-circuit, multi-circuit radiators) and can be combined with conventional regulating organs of radiant heaters. The cost of such solutions is significantly lower than that of radiators with halogen lamps.
After switching on these radiators, the heating conductors glow in seconds and become visible through the cooking surface. At the same time, you can feel the heat generated by the glowing heating conductor above the cooking surface immediately after switching on, which reinforces the impression of responsive heating.

Figure 1 shows a hob 10 according to the present invention with a mains connection 12 which is connected to a conventional power supply for hobs, e.g. 220 volts, is connected. Several switching elements 14 are connected to the mains connection. For simplification, only one switching element 14 is shown in FIG. 1. A
The
A first embodiment of a
A second embodiment of a
Figure 4 shows a circuit which operates according to the embodiment shown in Figure 2. The
The
If a voltage is present at
In FIG. 5, an
Figure 6 shows a further embodiment of the invention, wherein two
Das Heizelement 24 ist parallel geschaltet.FIG. 7 schematically shows a circuit that works according to FIG. 3. In Figure 7, an
In der Anheizphase wird über Schalter 30 nurFIG. 8 shows a circuit that operates according to FIG. 3, in which the power consumption is practically constant, even during the heating phase. The resistance values of the
Voltage applied to
Figur 9 zeigt eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform eines Heizkörpers mit der Widerstandsanordnung der Figur 6, wobei der wärmeempfindliche Reihenwiderstand 40 im äußeren Bereich des Heizkörpers 18 angeordnet ist, der mit bekannten Mitteln am Boden einer Glaskeramik-Kochfläche 42 befestigt ist.FIG. 9 shows a preferred embodiment of a radiator with the resistor arrangement of FIG. 6, the heat-
