Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention is based on a coaxial angled connector according to the preamble of the main claim.

There is a coaxial angled connector known (DE-AS 29 37 087), the metallically conductive housing is connected to the outer conductor of a coaxial cable and the inner conductor connection connected to the inner conductor of the coaxial cable is arranged insulated in the housing. The housing of the known angled connector is not insulated; the angled connector has no strain relief for the cable and is not very suitable for automatic production.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

The coaxial angled connector according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the connector is completely insulated and has an optimal strain relief. In addition, the angled connector has the advantage that it is suitable for largely automated production.

The measures listed in the subclaims allow advantageous developments and improvements of the coaxial angled connector specified in the main claim. A coaxial angled connector according to the invention is particularly advantageous in which the cylindrical pin is a hollow cylindrical sheet metal part with which the first and second clamping parts are produced in one piece. In this way, a single component is obtained for the inner conductor connection, which can be pushed onto the inner conductor of the coaxial cable and the insulating jacket of the inner conductor in one operation when the angled connector is installed. In an analogous manner, it is advantageous if the cup-shaped part and the third clamping part are made in one piece.

Beschreibung der ErfindungDescription of the invention

In Fig. 1, 10 denotes an inner conductor connection of a coaxial angle connector 11 (Fig. 6). The inner conductor connection consists of a cylindrical pin 12, which is preferably a hollow cylindrical sheet metal part, and two interconnected, cross-sectionally U-shaped clamping parts 13 and 14, which are connected to one end of the pin 12 and project radially therefrom. Because of the U-shape of the clamping parts shown in FIG. 2, these can easily be pushed onto the coaxial cable 15 stripped at the plug end, the first clamping part 13 comprising the inner conductor 16 and the second clamping part 14 comprising the insulating jacket 17 of the inner conductor 16. By together Pressing (crimping) the legs of the first clamping part 13, the electrical contact between the inner conductor 16 and the pin 12 is produced and compressing the legs of the second clamping part 14 causes strain relief for the inner conductor contact. According to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, the pin 12, the first clamping part 13 and the second clamping part 14 form a one-piece component, the bridge 18 connecting the pin 12 and the first clamping part 13 and the bridge 19 a connection between the first clamping part and the second clamping part.

The inner conductor connection 10 fastened on the coaxial cable (cf. FIG. 3) is inserted through an opening 21 of an essentially pot-shaped part 22 which is connected via a bridge 23 to a third clamping part 24 with a U-shaped cross section. Pot-shaped part 22, bridge 23 and third clamping part 24 form a preferably one-piece outer conductor connection 25 for the coaxial connector. The cup-shaped part 22 has a plurality of axial slots 26 which allow the cup-shaped part to spring. The free end of the cup-shaped part is provided with a conical extension 27.

After the inner conductor connection 10 has been inserted through the opening 21 into the cup-shaped part 22, the third clamping part 24 encloses the outer conductor 30 of the coaxial cable 15, which has been freed from its outer insulating jacket 28 third outer conductor 30 and the cup-shaped part 22. Before the angled plug prepared according to FIG. 5 is encapsulated with an insulating plastic, care must still be taken to ensure that the pin 12 maintains its coaxial position during the injection process. For this purpose, the bottom 31 of the pot-shaped part 22 contains a central opening 32 through which a tool 33 serving as a guide can be inserted into the hollow cylindrical pin 12. In order to avoid a possible short circuit between the inner conductor connection 10 and the outer conductor connection 25, there is a greater distance a between the bridge 23 and the coaxial cable. For the same reason, the outer conductor 30 is somewhat shortened so that there is a sufficiently large distance b between the second clamping part 14 and the outer conductor 30. One or more further openings 34 in the bottom 31 of the cup-shaped part 22 (cf. also FIG. 4A) are intended to allow the insulating plastic to flow through during the spraying process.

The insulating plastic is preferably a polyethylene or polypropylene. The material for the inner conductor connection 10 and the outer conductor connection 25 is preferably nickel silver or bronze sheet, spring-hard, possibly with the use of galvanic surface treatment to improve the conductivity or as corrosion protection.
