Abstract

In this appliance, a mass motor-driven in an unbalanced manner is provided in order to drive a tool (1). The mass consists of at least one electric motor (5), with an eccentric centrifugal weight (4) which can be driven by the motor shaft (13), and of a tool carrier (8) fastened on the side of the centrifugal weight (4) to the motor housing (5) and forms a drive unit (3) which is held in a vibratory manner on the housing (2) of the appliance. For the purpose of relieving the load on the motor bearings, the centrifugal weight (4) of the drive unit (3) is rotatably mounted independently on the tool carrier (8) and is driven by the motor shaft (13) via a coupling (29), a reduction gear unit (21) or the like. Here, the centrifugal weight (4) can also be distributed over several identical counter gears (20, 20') of a reduction gear unit (21) so that even these bearings only need to absorb proportional loads. If need be, a dust-extracting fan impeller (31) for a dust-catching device (40) which can be used on the appliance can also be arranged here on the drive unit (3), and in fact so as to be directly driven by the motor shaft (13). Furthermore, the appliance can be designed for this purpose in such a way that dust extraction can be thus carried out either alternatively to or in addition to the surface treatment. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a device for treating, in particular for cleaning, polishing and sanding surfaces or the like. By means of a mass that is moved in an unbalanced manner by motor, which mass consists at least of an electric motor with an eccentric swing weight that can be driven by the motor shaft and one on the side of the swing weight There is a tool attached to the motor housing via a tool carrier, and which forms a drive unit which is held on the device housing so as to be able to oscillate, wherein, if necessary, a dust-extracting fan rotor which can be driven by the motor shaft is also arranged on the drive unit for a dust-collecting device which can be used on the device.

A device of the type mentioned is known from AT-PS 377 173. The eccentric swing weight is attached directly to the motor shaft. However, this leads to an excessive load on the motor bearings and thus to a reduced service life of the motor. In order to avoid this, one is forced to have a motor manufactured with particularly strong bearings or, if conventional motors are used, to accept a reduced effect of the device by arranging a lower swing weight. As is known, the device can also be designed to extract dust, and in addition to the disadvantages mentioned, the device has to be redesigned.

The object of the invention is to eliminate these disadvantages and to expand the scope of such a device.

This object is basically achieved by the features stated in the characterizing part of claim 1.

These features completely relieve the motor bearings of the centrifugal force of the eccentric swing weight; they are now housed in our own bearings, which can be easily replaced in the event of wear. In addition, however, a number of further advantages according to the invention are also achieved. So now due to the u. U. required reduction gear, a high-speed motor can be used, due to its smaller dimensions and lower weight, the dimensions and the weight of the drive unit and thus of the device can be reduced accordingly. It is also possible to distribute the flywheel weight over several countershaft gears of the reduction gear, so that the loads caused by the flywheel weight are also distributed over several bearings.

This also makes it possible to continue blinding the device so that it can carry out a surface treatment with simultaneous dust extraction. Different drive speeds for swing weight and fan rotor are achieved without additional measures, thus creating ideal conditions for both areas of application. But also in the known, alternatively suitable for vacuuming such a device, further advantages are achieved, since this also makes the remodeling of the device much easier.

The invention is illustrated in more detail using three preferred exemplary embodiments:
1 shows in cross section an inventive device for treatment, for. B. for cleaning surfaces or the like., Figure 2 in cross section the device according to Figure 1 with an additional dust extraction device, for cleaning od. Like with simultaneous dust extraction, Figure 3 in cross section a variant of the device according to Figure 1 for cleaning or the like or alternatively vacuuming and FIG. 4 in cross section a dust collecting device for FIG. 3 that can be used for the purpose of dust extraction.

The device shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 essentially consists of the housing 2 and a drive unit 3 for the tool 1, which is mounted on the housing 2 such that it can vibrate, and is motor-unbalanced. The housing 2 is perpendicular to the cutting plane in three parts 10, 11, 12 divided, which parts are connected by the screws 9 - represented by lines of symmetry.
Furthermore, the drive unit 3 consists of the electric motor 5, the shaft 13, which projects from the motor housing, drives the eccentric flywheel 4 and a tool holder 8 fastened to the side of the flywheel 4 on the motor housing 5 by the bracket 7 and the screws 6 Cup-shaped tool carrier 8, the tool 1 designed as a cleaning brush can be used by means of the snap coupling 22.
The drive unit 3 is held on the housing 2 by three oscillating elements 15 arranged symmetrically between the housing end 12 and the tool carrier 8 and a self-aligning bearing 14 arranged on the housing part 10 in the axial direction of the motor 1 and will thereby perform a circular oscillating movement which transmits the tool 1 becomes. However, another type of vibratory mounting is also possible. There are also electrical devices on the housing 2, such as the on / off switch 17 and the charging socket 18 for a plurality of rechargeable battery batteries 16 arranged in the device.
As FIGS. 2 and 3 show, if necessary, the drive unit 3, etc. On the motor shaft 13, a dust-extracting fan rotor 31 can also be additionally arranged for a dust-collecting device 40 that can be used on the device.

(Figur 3 bzw. 1 und 2).According to the invention, the eccentric swing weight 4 of the drive unit 3 and, if applicable, 31 on the tool carrier 8, etc. is rotatably mounted on the axles 35 and 24 and can be driven by the motor shaft 13 via the clutch 29 or the reduction gear 21. (Figure 3 or 1 and 2).

According to Figure 1, a preferred embodiment of the invention, the swing weight 4 is distributed to two identical countershafts 20, 20ʹ of the reduction gear 21. These are in one plane and symmetrical to one another on the tool carrier 8, etc. on the axles 24 together with the flywheel parts 4 rotatably and are driven by the pinion 19 attached to the motor shaft 13.

In a further development according to the invention, FIG. 2 additionally shows the device according to FIG. 1 with the dust extraction device 31, 40, with the aid of which dust extraction can also be carried out at the same time. For this purpose, the annular extension 23 for the fan rotor 31 is provided on the tool carrier 8. The fan rotor 31 located below the reduction gear 21 is connected by means of the screw 42 to the toothed pinion 19 fastened to the motor shaft 13. The tool 1, which is designed as a cleaning brush, can be used on the annular extension 23 by means of the snap coupling 22. The cleaning brush 1 has at least one throughflow opening 41 leading to the suction opening 32 of the blower rotor 31, which through a radial opening on the tool carrier 8, etc. the outlet opening 44 arranged on the annular extension 23 is connected to the dust collecting device 40 arranged on the housing 2 so that it can flow through. In order to avoid that the dust collecting device 40 brakes the vibrations of the drive unit 3, 31, the flexible flow connection 45 is advantageously arranged between them.

According to another embodiment of the invention, the flywheel weight 4 can be driven via the clutch 29 in FIG. The coupling 29 is designed to be detachable in accordance with a further development of the invention, the detachable coupling part 29ʹ with the eccentric swing weight 4 being rotatably mounted on the axis 35 of a base plate 28 which can be removed on the tool carrier 8. Tool carrier 8 and base plate 28 are formed with the threaded or bayonet lock 27 for this purpose. It is not only possible to attach swing weights 4 of different sizes for a change in the effectiveness of the device, but also to make the conversion of the device to vacuuming much easier.

For the purpose of dust extraction, a dust-extracting fan rotor 31 is additionally arranged on the motor shaft 13 in a manner known per se, the hub 30 of which, in a further development according to the invention, is also designed as the further part of the releasable clutch 29. In order now for the surface treatment To put the blower rotor 31 out of operation, it is known to provide a cover 33 which closes the suction opening 32 of the blower rotor 31 and, according to another further development of the invention, is rotatably mounted together with the flywheel weight 4 on the axis 35 of the removable base plate 28. The cover 33 is made of an elastic material, e.g. B. made of foam and can be glued to the swing weight 4. It is now possible to remove the flywheel 4 and cover 33 from the device with just one hand, namely by loosening the closure 27, and instead of simply attaching a dust collector 40 for vacuuming. The switch 17 can be switched several times, so that individual batteries 16 can be switched on or off for the purpose of changing the speed of the motor 5.

This consists essentially of the dust collecting container 37 with handle 38 and the dust filter 39 which can be inserted into the dust collecting container 37. The dust collecting container 37 is designed with a closure part 27 which is identical to the base plate 28.

The measures according to the invention shown and described in the individual figures are also interchangeable. So z. B. clutch 29 and reduction gear 21 can be arranged together, or it can also the blower rotor 31 of Fig. 2 by covering its suction opening or by removing the same can be disabled. It is also possible to continuously operate the motor 5 with power sources other than those shown, if necessary also via electrical control devices, and to provide designs by which the device can also be used as a floor device or stationary. With the device according to the invention, surface treatments of any kind, including the body massage, can be carried out.
