Definitions

  • the present invention overcomes these drawbacks by creating a projection apparatus with a fixed spherical screen, the front face of which is substantially the size of the hemisphere forming a screen, the rear part being opaque except in the central zone to allow projection of the image arriving from the perspective of a projector placed behind the screen sphere.
  • This assembly is mounted on a suitably supported plate.
  • a plate supporting a rotating filter placed in front of the projector optics In front of the projector is mounted a plate supporting a rotating filter placed in front of the projector optics.
  • This rotating filter cooperates with a movable shutter making it possible to partially or completely shut off the projector optics in order to obtain images developing on the screen sphere. either vertically or horizontally with each complete rotation of the screen.
  • means are provided allowing the rotation, on the one hand, of the filter and, on the other hand, of the screen, these means being supplied through organs allowing the image to stop, the disappearance total of the image and also by means of microprocessors, the variation of the speed of rotation of the polarization of the image (filter) and, this, according to the projected slide. It is thus also possible to vary the exposure time of each slide on the same bubble screen or in the form of slides of several programs one after the other by creating an operating synchronization of several projection apparatuses between them.
  • the projection apparatus with a spherical screen more especially for advertising uses in which the sphere forming a screen is constituted by a transparent or translucent front half-sphere and by an opaque rear half-sphere except in the central zone to allow the projection of images arriving from the optics of a projector located behind the screen, this assembly being mounted on a tablet support, is characterized in that the front face of the image projector comprises, in front of the optical projector, a plate containing a rotary filter driven in rotation by a motor, this filter can be obscured by a rotary screen describing an imaginary circle of the fact that it is mounted on axes integral with discs rotating in synchronism under the action of a motor, the disks aligned vertically and placed in the same vertical plane being mounted one on the motor shaft fixed to the back of the plate, the other on a n axis integral with the plate, this assembly being subjected for the power supply of the screen motor to microswitches making it possible to stop the rotary screen in selected positions
  • At least two microprocessors allow one to vary the speed of rotation of the motor driving the filter in order to vary the speed of rotation of the polarization as a function of the slide considered, l Another is the speed of rotation of the motor in order to vary the exposure time of each slide and also to ensure, with the help of several image projectors, several programs which are thus synchronized.
  • a support 1 for example a vertical foot
  • a shelf 3 on the front part of which is mounted an axis 4 carrying a spherical screen 5, the half of which - front sphere 6 is transparent or translucent and the rear half-sphere 7 is opaque except in the central central area 8 where it is transparent to allow the passage of light rays RL projecting the image on the front part 6 of the spherical screen 5.
  • the rear part of the tablet 3 carries a foot 9 on which is fixed the image projector 10 having on its front face 10a an optic 11.
  • Spacers 14 fixed to the four corners of the front face 10a of the image projector 10 carry a plate 15 of rectangular shape having a hole 16 placed in front of the optics 11 of the image projector 10 and in the hole 16 is mounted a filter 17.
  • a needle bearing 18 is interposed between the periphery of the filter 17 and the edge of the hole 16 so as to allow easy rotation of the filter 17, rotation obtained by means of a belt 19 driven by the driving pulley 20 of a motor 21, the belt passing over a pulley 22 surrounding the filter 17 in front of the needle bearing 18.
  • the motor 21 is fixed by any suitable means to the rear surface of the plate 15 (see fig. 3).
  • a second motor 30 fixed to the rear wall of the plate 15 drives by its motor shaft 31, a disc 32 having on its periphery a groove 34 in which passes a belt 35 driving in rotation a second disc 36 mounted idly on an axis 37 secured to the plate 15.
  • the discs 32 and 36 are therefore located on the front face of the plate 15 (see fig. 4) and can therefore rotate easily by driving a rotary screen 40 mounted on axes 41, 42 integral with the one of the upper disc 32 and the other of the lower disc 36, discs placed on the same vertical axis and in the same vertical plane.
  • the rotary screen 40 comes during a complete revolution of the discs 32, 36 to traverse an imaginary circle making it possible to close the filter 17 vertically and horizontally, therefore to make the image projected on the spherical screen appear and disappear vertically and horizontally. 5.
  • Micro-switches 50, 51 cooperating with stops 52, 53 integral with the discs 32, 36 ensure a delay of the image, that is to say that the projection of the image stops after having appeared vertically and then horizontally.
  • This time delay mounted on the power supply circuit of the motor 30 also allows at a certain moment to completely obscure the image during the time when the projector 10 changes the slide by rotating the image store by a fraction of a turn corresponding to the number of slides in the projector magazine.
  • the power supply circuit of the motor 21 may include a microprocessor shown schematically at 21 a, placed in the power supply circuit of this motor 21 driving in rotation the filter 17 to adjust the speed of rotation of the polarization according to the projected diaspositive. It is also possible to include, in the power supply circuit of the motor 30 driving in rotation via the disks 32, 36, the screen 40, another microprocessor represented schematically at 30a in order to modify the exposure time of each slide.
  • the microprocessor 30a can have in its memory several slide programs so as to allow synchronization of several projection devices (image projector 10) with one another, but in this case, these image projectors are mobile, for example on a carriage sliding relative to the foot 9, to bring each image projector into the exact projection position.
  • the screen projection apparatus has the usual settings for obtaining a perfect image on the spherical screen 5.
