Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wärmeaustauscher entsprechend den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffes des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a heat exchanger according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Heat exchangers, e.g. Condensation heat exchangers are used in large quantities, e.g. for tumble dryers, with larger hollow individual plates are arranged at a distance from each other. The space between the plates makes e.g. the highly moisture-laden process air. Cooling air is blown through the cavities in the plates. The surface of the plates form condensation surfaces on which the moisture contained in the process air condenses.

Since the heat transfer from the cooling air side is physically decisive for the process, there are currently also glued-in aluminum strips in addition to the smooth cavities. By gluing additional heat exchanger surfaces on the cooling side, the efficiency is increased, but the manufacturing disadvantage of gluing has to be accepted. Also, the heat dissipation of such additional surfaces is inhibited at the gluing point, so that, according to the current state of adhesive technology, a large number of additional surfaces have to be glued in, which leads to a high flow resistance and thereby the risk of ver plug is significantly enlarged by impurities of the cooling air that cannot be spread. With a lifespan of at least 10 years, a change in the gluing points cannot be ruled out.

The invention is based on the object of improving a heat exchanger of the type in question in such a way that a build-up of mass-produced individual parts is possible and that the heat exchange is improved in such a way that a satisfactory result is achieved even with smaller and more compact heat exchangers.

The solution to the problem results from the characterizing features of the main claim. The subclaims describe preferred embodiments.

The heat exchanger consists of plate-shaped hollow elements 1 which have a positive arc-shaped profile 2 or a negative arc-shaped profile 3 on opposite narrow sides. The plate-shaped hollow elements 1, which are produced in large series, for example as a continuous aluminum profile, from which the desired length is cut off, are successively placed in one of the end walls 8 and 9, preferably made of plastic material, of a holder in guide grooves 14 or 16 inserted. The other end wall 8 or 9 is then pressed onto the arrangement with its guide grooves 14 or 16. A positive profile 2 of an element then engages in the negative profile 3 of the preceding hollow element 1. Slots 10 are arranged between the guide grooves 14 and 16, which enable the end wall sections between the guide grooves 14 and 16 to yield resiliently when the hollow elements 1 are inserted and thus facilitate insertion.

The heat exchange medium to be treated is introduced in the direction of the arrows 18 into the spaces between the plate-shaped hollow elements 1 and removed again in the direction of the arrows 19. Since, as can be seen from FIG. 1, left-hand side, the heat exchange medium meets the positive profile 2 of the first hollow element, there is a corresponding increase in the flow rate. Cooling air is blown through the plate-shaped hollow elements 1 through slot-shaped inlet or outlet openings 21 in the direction of the arrow 22.

The top 5 or bottom 6 of each of the plate-shaped hollow elements 1 is pressed over by webs 7, on the one hand, by which the stability of the hollow elements is significantly improved. On the other hand, heat is extracted from the webs 7 by the cooling air flowing past.

The direct metallic heat conduction to the upper side 5 or to the lower side 6, which is not interrupted by adhesive points or the like, results in a higher efficiency. This means that fewer webs are required in the cavity, so that the flow resistance and the risk of clogging are significantly lower.

Als bevorzugtes Ausführungsbeispiel werden folgende Abmessungen angegeben:
- Abstand zwischen den Profilierungen 2 bzw. 3, 115 mm
The following dimensions are given as a preferred exemplary embodiment:
- Distance between the profiles 2 and 3, 115 mm
- Length of the plate-shaped hollow element 235 mm
- Height of the plate-shaped hollow element 8 mm
- Number of webs 7 or the air guiding chambers in the plate-shaped hollow element 18 or 19.

A heat exchanger is thus built up without adhesive work or other complex work processes. The plate-shaped hollow elements 1 only need to be inserted, the grooves 16, 18 being somewhat narrower than this corresponds to the height of the plate-shaped hollow elements 1, so that an elastic bend promoted by the slots 10 and an ent speaking clamping of the plate-shaped hollow elements is achieved. The heat transfer is significantly improved compared to heat exchangers of the same size.

Due to the mutual engagement of the profiles 2, 3, a high stability of the overall structure is achieved, so that the holder in the end walls 8, 9 is sufficient. In addition, there is a smooth surface of the assembled plates without obstructing the flow of the first heat exchange medium.

The end walls 8 and 9 containing the guide grooves 14 and 16, which preferably consist of plastic material, have guide beams 23 which are connected by plates 20 placed at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the webs 7. The air flow impinging in the direction of arrow 22 is inflated obliquely by the plates 20 onto the webs 7 or onto the guide webs 11, so that a strong swirling of the air takes place on the inlet side, which is still caused by the indentations 24 which direct the air upwards. is supported.

Appropriate practical tests have shown that the heat transfer between the two heat exchange media is significantly improved by this training, which enables the construction of smaller heat exchangers with the same output or a higher output with the same size heat exchangers.

Instead of a single indentation 24, several e.g. also hemispherical indentations can be provided at a distance from each other, which extend to the center of the single plate or beyond.
