A strand guide (1), in particular for a steel-slab continuous casting plant, comprising a plurality of supporting segments (2, 2') carrying rollers (12), several supporting segments (2, 2') being fastened to a longitudinal carrier (3, 4, 3') designed in one piece in the longitudinal direction, in particular an arcuately shaped longitudinal carrier (3, 4), and two neighbouring supporting segments (2, 2') each being commonly mounted, by means of carrying elements (15, 16, 15', 16') arranged at their ends, on a carrying bracket (9, 9') supported on the longitudinal carrier (3, 4, 3'), characterised in that each carrying bracket (9, 9') is rigidly fastened to the longitudinal carrier (3, 4, 3') by means of two parallel fitting pins (11), the fitting pins (11) of all the carrying brackets (9, 9') being located approximately in the neutral fibre (10, 10') of the longitudinal carrier (3, 4) and each supporting segment (2) being tensible relative to the longitudinal carrier (3, 4, 3') by a tensioning means (20).

A strand guide according to claim 1, characterised in that each carrying bracket (9, 9') has a recess (13) immovably receiving the carrying element (15, 15') of a supporting segment (2, 2') and a recess (14) receiving the carrying element (16, 16') of the neighbouring supporting segment (2, 2') which preferably is designed as a sliding brick (16, 16'), with a play (18), the play (18) being directed parallel to the path (17) of the strand guide on the transition site (19) from one supporting segment (2, 2') to the neighbouring supporting segment (2, 2').
