Definitions
- the current invention relates to a packaging having accommodated in it a product which is visible from outside and can be examined from outside, comprising a passage arranged in the packaging which is accessible from outside and which leads to the space where the product is located.
- Accommodated as a product in such a packaging is for example a natural chamois leather, shawl or the like.
- the invention has for its object to improve the packaging of the type mentioned in the preamble in that the risk of theft of the product is reduced. This is achieved according to the invention because the packaging features retaining means which on the one hand are connected for release to the product and on the other are connected to the packaging, and which are substantially inaccessible from outside via the passage.
- the retaining means preferably comprise a partition arranged in the packaging and provided with an opening, and a retaining member co-operating with the opening.
- the partition is provided with at least one lip forming the retaining member.
- the partition is preferably a separate partition, so that it can be manufactured from another material that is better suited for performing the retaining function.
- An adequate and reliable inner partition retaining the product results if the separate partition is provided with at least two grooves located at an interval from each other and facing the product space, each of which comprises a barb element extending to the interior of the groove, behind which barb element hooks a packaging edge placed in the groove. It is favourable here if the packaging edge forms an opening edge of an opening arranged in an interior packaging flap and the barb element protrudes through this opening.
- the retaining member is a separate member and is located in the space separated off from a product compartment by the partition, whereby a projection of the retaining member preferably corresponds with an opening part, in this way the retaining member and a part of the product connected for release to it can be drawn via the passage and through the opening into the partition, so that a comparatively simple assembly results.
- the retaining member is preferably "Z"-shaped.
- a very advantageous embodiment of the packaging results if another unknown product is present in the space closed off by the partition.
- the product 3 is connected for release with its end 4 to retaining means 5 which are fixed firmly to box 2.
- Retaining means 5 comprise a partition 6 arranged in box 2 which is glued in box 2 using two edges 7 and 8.
- the partition 6 is provided with an opening 9 which is created by folding out a lip 10.
- Lip 10 is the result of making a reversed "V"-shaped cut in the partition 6.
- the lip 10 will pivot back towards the opening 9 and thereby clamp the end 4 of product 3 and prevent it passing through the opening 9. In this way packaging 1 and product 3 cannot be separated from each other.
- Separation can be brought about after an opening is made in box 2 from the cutting hole 14 using scissors 13, so that through this opening the lip 10 of opening 9 can be pivoted away and the product 3 can leave the box 2.
- This separation operation is on the one hand so drastic that it cannot take place at a display place, whereby theft is prevented, and on the other hand so simple that it can be performed after purchase with reasonably simple means.
- the dimension of the passage 12 is preferably chosen such that the opening 9 is not accessible from the passage 12 in a simple manner with a tool or with the fingers.
- the end 15 of box 2 is closed with an end-wall 16 which is firmly attached in box 2.
- Fig. 3 and 4 show a packaging 31 which consists of a box 33 folded from a flat 32 and a separate partition 34.
- the partition 34 which is manufactured from a plastic is provided in each case with two grooves 35, 36 and 37, 38 located at an interval from each other and facing towards the product space 39 situated between passage 12 and partition 34.
- Grooves 35 and 36 each comprise a barb element 40 and 41 respectively which are attached to the exterior groove walls 42 and 43 respectively and which extend to the interior of the respective groove 35, 36.
- the central part 44 of the partition 34 enclosed by the grooves 35-38 is provided with a passage 45 for the product and, co-operating with it, lips 46-49 formed by a crosscut.
- the flat 32 comprises four central portions 50-53 of which central portion 50 is provided with an adhesive edge 54 and each of which is further provided with an end portion 55-58.
- the central portions 50-53 are provided with packaging flaps 59-62 to be folded inwards, which are glued to the respective central flaps 50-53.
- the flaps 59 and 61 are each provided with a packaging edge 63 and 64 respectively which are furnished with a rectangular opening 65.
- the edges 63 and 64 lie free of the respective central portions 50 and 52.
- the packaging edges 63 and 64 are inserted in grooves 35 and 36 respectively, whereby barb elements 40 and 41 protrude through the openings 65 and so enclose the packaging edges 63 and 64 in the grooves 35 and 36 respectively.
- the adhesive edge 54 is then glued to the central portion 53 and the end portions 55-58 are subsequently folded inwards and glued together, forming an end wall 66.
- the parts 67 of the central portions 50-53 located between the end portions 55-58 and the packaging flaps 59-62 form with the end wall 66 and the partition 34 the gift space 68.
- the packaging flaps 59-62 glued to the central portions 50-53 form the product space 39.
- Fig. 4 shows a third embodiment of the packaging 2 according to the invention.
- the retaining means 17 consist on the one hand of a partition 18 having in it a circular opening 19 and two slots 20 and 21 lying in line with each other, and on the other of a separate "Z"-shaped retaining member 22.
- the opening portion formed by slots 20 and 21 has a dimension such that the flat projection of retaining member 22 can pass through it, while at the same time an end 23 of product 3 passes through the opening 19.
- the product 3 can thus be snared in a relatively simple way in packaging 2 using the retaining member 22.
- the space 24 closed off by partition 18 has a volume such that another product, for example a surprise, can be accommodated in it without its presence being observed from the outside of the product. After insertion of the product 25 the space 24 is closed off by gluing edges 26 to the box-shaped packaging 2.
- the retaining member 22 is provided with two indentations 29, 30 in which the product can be firmly secured, while a releasable connection is created with virtually no damage to the product 3.
