Schließlich sind im oberen Bereich der beiden Schenkel des Auslösehebels 18 zwei Ansätze 18c vorgesehen, welche oberen Leitflächen 15c des Sohlenhalters 15 zugeordnet sind und welche zum Schließen des Sohlenhalters 15 dienen. Außerdem stützen sich die Ansätze 18c auch im geschlossenen Zustand der Bindung am Sohlenhalter 157 ab und stabilisieren so die Lage des Auslösehebels 18 (Fig.5). In jedem der beiden Schenkel des Auslösehebels 18 ist im mittleren Bereich eine Ausnehmung 18d ausgebildet, welche der Freistellung der Querachse 14 dient. Der Steg 18e des Auslösehebels 18 trägt eine Einbuchtung 18f, die zum Eingriff der Spitze eines Skistockes bestimmt ist. Claims (12)

1. A safety ski binding comprising a sole plate (1) mounted on a pivot pin (2b) fixedly secured to the ski for rotation in a horizontal plane and prevented from being lifted off the ski (2), said sole plate (1) carrying at its front end a front clamp jaw (2c), and at its rear end, a heel retainer (3) provided with a housing (6), a sole retainer (15) of said heel retainer (3) being adapted to pivot upwards about a transverse axis (14) against the force of a first compression spring (12) in said housing (6), and connected to a control lever (20) carrying a roller (7) biased by at least one further compression spring (13) and adapted to cooperate with a control cam (4a) provided on a body (4) fixedly secured to said ski, characterized in that said control lever (20) is formed with an opening (21) for the passage therethrough of a projection (10a) of a piston (10) biased by said first compression spring (12), said piston (10) acting exclusively on a per se known detent arm (23) for the vertical release operation (figs. 2 to 7).
2. A binding according to claim 1, characterized in that said control lever (20) is of substantially frame- shaped configuration in front elevation to thereby provide said opening (21).
3. A binding according to claim 1, characterized in that said control lever (20) is of substantially U-shaped configuration in front elevation to thereby provide said opening (21).
4. A binding according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said control lever (20) is provided with two bores (20b) for lockingly receive therein respective projections (11 b) of heads (11 a) of guide rods (11) for the two compression springs (13) acting on said control lever (20).
5. A safety ski binding comprising a sole plate (1) mounted on a pivot pin (2b) fixedly secured to the ski, for rotation in a horizontal plane, and prevented from being lifted off the ski (2), said sole plate (1) carrying at its front end a front clamp jaw (2c), and at its rear end, a heel retainer (3') provided with a housing (6'), a sole retainer (15') of said heel retainer (3') being adapted to pivot upwards about a transverse axis (14') against the force of a first compression spring (12') in said housing (6') and connected to a control lever (20) carrying a roller (7') biased by a second compression spring (13') and adapted to cooperate with a control cam (4a) provided on a body (4') fixedly secured to the ski, said two compression springs (12', 13') being coaxially nested within one another in said housing, characterized in that the outer compression spring (12' for controlling the vertical release operation is engaged with a thrust ring (26) resting on a bifurcate transmission member (19) itself supported by a further roller (27), a projection or the like on the per se known single detent arm (23') controlling the vertical release operation (fig. 8).
6. A binding according to claim 5, characterized in that said transmission member (19) is of substan- tally triangular shape in lateral elevation, with its upper portion pivotally connected to said housing (6'), and its front end portion carrying a further roller (27).
7. A binding according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that said transmission member (19) laterally straddles said control lever (20') of the central portion of which is formed with a passage (22) for receiving therein the end of an adjustment screw (25') for adjusting the biasing force of said inner compression spring (13') acting on said roller (7').
8. A binding according to claim 7, characterized in that adjacent its passage (22) said control lever (20') is formed with a bend for ensuring full surface contact of one or the other half of a collar (25'b) of said adjustment screw (25') with said control lever (20') in the center position and in each pivotal end position, respectively, of said sole plate (1).
9. A binding according to claim 1 or 5, characterized in that said detent arm (23, 23') carries an axis (31, 31') for a release lever (18) adjacent its upper end.
10. A binding according to claim 9, characterized in that said release lever (18) is provided with two hook-shaped projections (18a) for cooperation with bottom guide surfaces (15b) of said sole retainer (15, 15') (figs. 5-7).
11. A binding according to claim 9 or 10, characterized in that said release lever (18) carries two lateral projections (18b) adapted after surpassing the release point to act on congruent surfaces (15a) of said sole retainer (15, 15') for pivoting the latter to its step-in position.
12. A binding according to any of claims 9 to 11, characterized in that the upper front portion of said release lever (18) is provided with two further projections (18c) adapted to cooperate with upper guide surfaces (15c) of said sole retainer (15, 15') for closing the latter.
