Abstract

A device for dispensing granular media or tablets in portions from a supply space therein is disclosed. The device comprises a casing having an outlet sealable by a normally closed spring-loaded tappet. The device also includes an actuating system located within a recess in the outer walls of the casing. The tappet emerges from an internal wall within the casing. The wall forms an internal shaft for supporting the tappet and spaces the tappet from the outer walls of the casing. The internal wall also forms a space between an outer walls and a supply space which is open towards the recess and allows for easy formation of the casing. The supply space has a lower portion from which there extends a duct which forms the outlet for the device. The tappet has an opening therethrough at a lower end thereof capable of being moved in front of the duct when in a dispensing position. The supply space is then sealed by an insert located within the lower portion of the supply space. The insert has a guide wall capable of isolating the supply space from the opening in the tappet when the tappet is in the dispensing position and wherein the actuating device slides within the recess and the casing walls to thereby move the tappet from its normally closed position to its dispensing position.

Ein Gerät dieser Art ist Gegenstand der Pat.-Anm. P 35 02 282.5 der Anmelderin.A device of this type is the subject of Pat. P 35 02 282.5 of the applicant.

The object of the invention is to make a device of this type more economical to handle with improved injection molding conditions, so that even in the case of very small quantities a high level of output security and complete output is possible.

This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1.

The subclaims are advantageous developments of the device according to the invention.

As a result of such a configuration, a generic device is created which, on the one hand, brings more favorable conditions in terms of injection technology and, on the other hand, allows good handling. The space forming the distance to the housing walls is open towards the recess, which benefits the easier removal from the mold. The recess is closed again by the operating handle. The floor is used from the other side. Also in this direction lying area of the housing, partly forming the spacing space and partly forming the storage space, can be easily removed from the mold, the channel forming the removal opening forming a material bridge to the shaft leading to the tappet. This helps to stabilize the device. The latter can be implemented as a pocket pack, in which case the highest possible internal stability of the housing is important. The plunger has a passage opening that can be moved in front of the channel, the inside end of which is closed in the dispensing position by a guide wall of the insert part inserted into the storage space. This results in a further stiffening of the housing, which is open on the bottom edge. The passage opening taken into account in the ram ensures reliable separation or precise dosing. A good plunger guide serves the further measure that the actuating handle connected to the cantilevered plunger end slides along the inner surface of the outer wall of the spacing space. The invention further proposes that a space open to the underside of the housing is provided below the channel forming the removal opening. This leaves the possibility open to effect the output path optionally over the floor cross-section. The central shaft for the plunger and the space achieved by the appropriate distance from the housing walls offer an advantageous further training option with regard to child safety. In this regard, the procedure is such that the locking arm, which can be pivoted out of a bolt opening in the plunger, of an angled safety button can be pivoted into the spacing space. Here it proves to be advantageous that the locking arm is crossing to the cross section of the shaft. The shaft is thus also used to support the safety button, so that in a case in which the actuating handle is first pressed in the direction of releasing the content, the actuating force flowing in via the plunger goes onto the shaft; this protects the bearing points of the safety button. It is also advantageous that the safety button is located below the bottom wall of the recess, stored between this bottom wall and and a parallel wall lying at a distance below, which walls limit a laterally open safety button receiving recess of the housing upwards and downwards. In this area, too, a highly stable, ie stiffened housing zone is created, especially since a key press that is not quite deliberately carried out could deform the housing, particularly in the case of thin-walled devices. It is also proposed that the cross sections of the shaft and ram are square. The passage opening thus safely maintains its functional orientation. In this context, it also proves to be advantageous that the guide wall is the web of a U-profile, the leg of which, positively engaging the plunger, contribute to its guidance. In addition, it is favorable that the insertion limit of the insert part forming the bottom of the storage space is stop-limited by webs of the housing. Another advantageous feature of the invention is that the plunger forms a stop defining the basic position in the region of the lower shaft end. Finally, an embodiment which is advantageous for the dispensing function results from the fact that the passage opening which falls between the bottom which slopes downwards in the direction of dispensing and the channel which is lower by the actuating stroke length of the plunger and which slopes downwards in the same direction drops more steeply. The latter leads to a more favorable slip behavior, so that the passage opening functioning as a metering chamber fills up suddenly and without using the filling load. Finally, there is an advantageous feature that the bottom surface of the passage opening in the basic position of the device is at a vertical distance from the ram-side edge of the bottom. The corresponding cross-sectional offset of the passage opening to the remaining section determining the inlet cross section leads to a lower filler throat, which is practically neutralized with respect to the fill load pressure. There can be no jamming of the filling material directly on the output side in the passage opening.

Der im Grunde lang rechteckige Querschnitt ergibt sich aus Fig. 4.The device designed as a dispenser for the metered dispensing of fine-grained, pearly (so-called pellets) or powdery contents up to tablets has a molded plastic housing 1. The latter is kept relatively flat. The basically long rectangular cross section results from FIG. 4.

The housing 1 takes into account a storage space V, which is filled from the open floor cross section and then closed by means of an insert part 3 forming a troughed floor 2. The contents, which are small pearls, are marked with 4. The ceiling 5 of the storage room V is closed. The core of the injection mold is pulled off in the opposite direction, ie on the bottom side, or the housing 1 is blown off from it.

On the ceiling side, a recess 6 open at the top is partially taken into account. In the interest of the largest possible, freely projecting actuating surface of the actuating handle 7, it has a width that extends over the entire transverse width of the housing and is seated on a plunger 8 emerging from the housing wall of the dispenser dispensing mechanism M which is accommodated as centrally as possible in the housing. The vertically displaceable plunger 8 of the same can be injection-molded in one piece with the actuating handle 7, which is spring-loaded in the direction of the basic position of the plunger 8 and is designed as a pushbutton, or, as is preferred in the present exemplary embodiment, can be connected thereto by means of a clip. For this purpose, the cap-shaped actuating handle has a bushing 9 on its underside, that is, directed downward from the cap cover. Their interior has locking projections 10 which cooperate with locking recesses of the plunger end 8 'there.

The downward-facing end face 9 'of the bushing 9 acts to limit the vertical plunger movement against the corresponding end face 12' of a shaft 12 guiding the plunger 8. The latter lies at a distance from the housing walls a to d on all sides. With regard to the housing walls a and b, the walls are Schmais side walls; the rest are broad side walls.

The space 13 having the distance x to the narrow side wall a on the left is open to the recess 6. The core 13 that forms this space 13 and at the same time the recess 6 is upward, d. H. deducted from the ceiling.

Die Oberseite der Bodenwand 15 schließt ebenengleich mit dem oberen Stirnende 12' des Schachtes 12 ab.The partition between the room 13 and the storage room V forms a vertical transverse wall 14, which in the upper area in a corresponding aligned section of the shaft 12 enters or forms this shaft section. The transverse wall extends in the shortest possible way from broad side wall c to wide side wall d of the housing 1 and is rooted therein. In the vertical direction, it extends from the horizontal bottom wall 15 of the recess 6 to the bottom edge 16 of the housing. The top of the bottom wall 15 is level with the upper end 12 'of the shaft 12.

The right-hand projection of the bottom wall 15 almost corresponds to the depth (distance x) of the space 13, which extends in the opposite direction, so that the actuating force flows centrally into the plunger despite the relatively large tactile surface. As can be seen in FIGS. 2, 3 and 5, the actuating handle slides along the inner surface of the outer wall of the spacing space 13 formed by a narrow side wall a. As can be seen above all from FIG. 2, this guide surface also sits in the inner surfaces of the broad side walls c and d in the region of the recess 6. On the other hand, there is a slight clear distance in the form of a crescent-shaped gap between the recess-side inner surface and the corresponding surface of the actuating handle 7 from the vertical wall 17 starting from the bottom wall 15 and leading to the ceiling 5.

A channel 19 forming a removal opening 18 for the filling material 4 extends between the left-hand narrow side wall a and the transverse wall 14. The latter drops slightly in the dispensing direction. Its width corresponds to that of the tappet 8 with a four-section cross-section. The channel height is chosen to be somewhat larger. The shaft forming the channel 19 is free-standing towards the room 13, seen in the cross-sectional plane, that is to say also towards the underside of the housing 1. The space below the channel 19 is designated 20. As a result, there is the formation of a downward discharge path for the filling material nothing in the way. The removal opening 18 would have to be kept closed and the bottom-side section of the channel would have to be kept open by a core which can be pulled out downwards.

The practically sluice-like transfer of the filling material 4 from the storage space V to the channel 19 is achieved through a correspondingly vertically movable passage opening 21 in the lower end 8 "of the plunger 8. In the spring-loaded basic position of the plunger, this passage opening 21 is towards the storage space V. open and closed towards the transverse wall 14, which practically represents an extension of the shaft 12. The bottom surface 21 'of the passage opening 21, which slopes downward in the dispensing direction, extends significantly below the plane of the inclined bottom surface, in a ratio of approximately 1: 3 the height of the cross-sectional opening 21. This leads to a lower filler throat. By exerting an actuating force P in the direction of the arrow z at 7, the passage opening 21 dips completely below the level of the base 2. The ram-side edge 2 'of the base 2 functions as a compartment finger, see above that an exactly dosed amount under the corresponding lower displacement of the St ößels is released to the channel 19 for the purpose of exit via the wall-side removal opening 18. In this dispensing position, the side of the passage opening 21 previously closed by the transverse wall 14 has been released and the side facing the storage space V has been closed by the insert part 3. This insert part continues below the bottom 2 in a vertical guide wall 22 which extends to just before the edge 16 of the housing 1. The guide wall 22 is the web of a U-profile, the two legs 22 ', positively fitting against the plunger 8, contribute to its guidance in the lower region, so that an annular shaft is also realized there, but with the participation of two basic components, that is to say use of the section of the transverse wall 14 there as the fourth wall of the square cross section Well. As can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 5, the passage opening 21 that falls between the bottom 2, which slopes downwards in the dispensing direction, and the passage 21, which is lower by the actuating stroke length of the plunger 8 and extends in the same direction at an angle, drops significantly steeper than the other parts that function as a slide. The base 2 and the channel 19 preferably have an angle of inclination of 10 °, while the passage opening is approximately 30 °.

Den stößelseitigen Wandabschluß bildet die Querwand 14.The insertion end position of the insert 3 forming the bottom 2 of the storage space V is formed by vertically arranged webs 23 on the inner wall surface of the housing. The horizontal edge 24 of the insert 3 comes against the downward end face 23 'of the webs mentioned. In the area of the ram, there is a stop between said edge 24 and the downwardly directed end face of U-shaped leg extensions 25 of shaft 12. In addition, the side walls 26 of the insert 3, which are adapted to the inner contour of the housing, are provided with horizontally extending ribs 27, which act practically as a sealing lip and provide a friction fit between the inner surface of the housing 1 and the insert part 3. The transverse wall 14 forms the ram-side wall end.

A plunger defining the basic position is formed on the plunger 8 in the region of the lower shaft end. It is a detent-like projection 28 with a beveled back. The horizontal flank of the nose engages under the lower end 12 "of the shaft 12. The bevel serves to facilitate the clip connection between the plunger 8 and shaft 12. Between the two there is a sufficient amount of guiding play. The projection 28 is somewhat exaggerated.

The return spring for the plunger 8 is formed by the actuating handle molded leaf springs 29, which abut on the floor Find wall 15 of recess 6. They are rooted in the slide-guided, upper left corner of the actuating handle and, if necessary, extend slightly pretensioned in a slight curve up to the base wall mentioned, which to the right leaves the sufficient space for the spring deformation.

On the left side, the narrow side wall a of the housing is flush with the top of the actuating handle 7. The rest of the broad side walls c, d is cut back to the ceiling height.

At a distance from the actuation area of the actuation handle, a safety button is inserted in one broad side wall c of the housing 1, which must be operated before the actuation button is pressed down. The safety button has the reference number 30. It is mounted near the wall on a vertical axis y-y. The axis is formed by two stub axles 31 which protrude in the opposite direction and are snapped into bearing eyes 32. The corresponding resilience is generated by the securing button 30 integrally formed tab 33, which protrude freely from the securing button 30 horizontally. To facilitate the snap-in movement, the end faces of the stub axles 31 are chamfered to run-up ramps. One bearing eye 32 is located in the bottom wall 15 of the recess 6, while the second bearing eye 32 is located in a parallel wall 34 lying vertically below the bottom wall 15. These walls, including a downward extension 17 'of the vertical wall 17, circumscribe a fuse key receiving recess 35 which extends in depth over the entire transverse width of the housing.

The safety button 30 is designed with two arms. One arm 1, which runs exclusively in the plane of the one broad side wall c of the housing, forms the actual operating surface, while the arm 11 which is angled inward in the end region is the locking arm 37 which can be pivoted out of a locking opening 36 in the plunger 8. The latter swings into space 13 evasively. As can be seen, the locking arm 37 also intersects with the four-sided cross section of the shaft 12, which is cut back accordingly in this area and, with its front end 12 'set apart in the corner region of two converging shaft walls, now forms a support shoulder which keeps loads away from the safety button 30.

I of the safety button 30 and load the safety button 30 in the direction of the tappet / shaft-protected basic locking position. They are the same as the fuse button 30. Its free end is supported on the inner surface of the broad side wall b of the housing facing away from the key.

The function is, briefly summarized, as follows: To dispense the filling content 4, with the appropriate equipment, first press the safety button 30. The locking arm 37 swings out of the bolt opening 36 of the plunger. The way is clear for the displacement of the ram in the sense of the issue. By releasing both functional parts, the safety button 30 and the dispenser mechanism spring-loaded return to the basic locking position.

All the new features mentioned in the description and shown in the drawing are essential to the invention, even if they are not expressly claimed in the claims.
