Description

The present invention relates to a conference table comprising a tray intended to support at least one sheet of paper or the like and means for holding in a vertical position or slightly inclined, relative to the vertical of said tray.

It is common for a speaker to use a sign or tray allowing the use of paper as a registration medium. Such a panel or tray can be placed, suspended or mounted, removably or not, on an easel.

In general, the writing medium consists of a bundle of sheets assembled by their upper edges and which must be fixed in a practical manner on the panel or tray.

If such means are satisfactory for the inscription of numbers, letters and for writing, on the other hand, they do not make it possible to carry out geometric traces or tables in a clear and precise manner.

Furthermore, such means do not allow very efficient storage, transportation or archiving of bundles of paper which, in general, undergo degradation during these phases.

Such means also prove impractical for traveling lecturers who are forced to use their own means of written expression.

The present invention aims to solve the general problem thus posed by proposing a new lecturer's table particularly designed to meet the need for ease of transport, storage and archiving, while offering the possibility of easy execution of geometric traces.

To achieve the above goals, the speaker board according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises:
- a case with two hinged leaves containing a bundle of leaves,
- additional temporary closing means provided near the edges of the leaves,
- edges rising from the leaves and having notches for the temporary adaptation of a strip or rod.

Fig. 1 shows that, according to the invention, the lecturer's table 1 is constituted in the form of a case 12 comprising two leaves or plates 13 and 14 which are connected by a back 15 . The border area between the two leaves and the back 15 is defined by two fold lines 16 parallel to each other. The leaves 13 and 14 are each provided with two parallel edges 17 and 18 interconnected for each leaf by a transverse edge 19 or 20 . At least the parallel edges 17 and 18 are provided with notches 9 which are arranged so as to correspond from one edge to the other. Such notches 9 can also be provided, although this is not shown in FIG. 1 , over all or part of the transverse edges and, more particularly, of the transverse edge 20 .

Fig. 1 shows that the leaf 14 has a width and a length slightly less than that of the leaf 13 , so that it can be fitted inside the latter, after pivoting in the direction of the arrow f to place the table in the position of a closed case. This position is made stable, by means of temporary closing means which consist of tongues 21 extending the transverse edge 19 to cooperate with slots 22 formed, either in the transverse edge 20 , or in the corresponding leaf 14 .

The leaves 13 and 14 have, set back from the transverse edges 19 and 20, two oblong slots 23 and 24 which are arranged in correspondence, so as to be able to assume together a function of grip handle facilitating the manual transport of the case in the closed position.

The table according to this embodiment is intended to contain a refill or a bundle of sheets 7 fixed, by means of joining members 13 a which may be snaps, adhesive pads, screws, etc .. . These joining members 13 a are selected based, in particular, the constituent material of the case that can form either a disposable set after use of all the sheets of the bundle, a rechargeable case.

The use of table 1 , constituted in the form of a case 12 , consists in opening the leaves 13 and 14 , as illustrated in FIG. 2 , to have a continuous support plane formed by the alignment of the leaves 13 and 14 and of the back 15 . This continuous plane provides support for a sheet or a bundle of sheets 7 which can then be used as an inscription support when the open case is fitted to a member. of suspension 25 cooperating with the oblong slot, such as 23 of the leaf occupying the high position. This suspension member 25 may be a tab or the like, fixed to a wall or a partition, so as to allow direct suspension of the case in the open position.

Each sheet 7 can be used as a writing medium on which it is possible to execute geometric plots or tables. Indeed, a rod 10 can be engaged in two notches 9 corresponding to occupy a horizontal position in which it then forms a rule. The rod can also occupy an oblique position at an angle depending on the relative offset between the notches in which it is engaged. It can also extend vertically by cooperating with a notch 9 on the edge 20 .

The notches 9 can be executed in the form of a half-moon with a radius greater than that of the section of the rod 10 . These notches 9 can be formed over only part of the height of the edges 8 or, possibly also, be formed over the entire height of the latter.

The case 12 can also be used as a component of a registration and presentation table, of the easel type. In such a case, the case 12 is then associated with a support structure 26 comprising, according to FIG. 3 , a frame 27 , substantially in inverted "U" shape, the tubular uprights 28 of which are associated with adjustable telescopic legs 29 . The uprights 28 are interconnected by an upper cross member 30 , as well as by a lower cross member 31 formed by an angle iron, constituting a receptacle of the pen tray type.

The frame 27 is associated with a tube 32 articulated on a yoke 33 carried by the upper cross member 30 . The tube 32 is provided with a telescopic foot 34 and its pivoting distance, relative to the frame 27 , can be either limited by a stop of the yoke 33 , or adjusted by a spacer bar.

The structure 26 is thus presented as a support tripod making it possible to arrange the frame 27 vertically or substantially vertically. This tripod can be stored flat, as shown in figs. 4 and 5 . The upper cross member 30 of the frame 27 carries a suspension member 35 which can be produced, as illustrated in FIG. 6 , in shaped wire to define two fingers 36 which can be engaged in two holes in the cross-member 30 . The member 35 also defines a suspension tab 37 capable of passing through an oblong lumen 23 or 24 . Between the tab 37 and the fingers 36 , the member 35 defines one or more tubular guides 38 or the like, making it possible to engage the rod 10 in one direction or the other, in a substantially horizontal orientation ( FIG. 3 ). The rod 10 can thus be used as a suspension arm for the presentation of objects, supports or products to be considered in relation to the information written on the visible sheet 7 of the case 12 suspended in the open position on the structure 26 .

In the case illustrated in fig. 6 , the tubular guide is defined by two open rings formed coaxially by the wire. Provision may be made to conform the wire as shown in phantom to delimit a second series of coaxial rings allowing the support of a second rod 10 .

Figs. 7 to 9 illustrate the method of hanging the case which, after opening the leaves 13 and 14 is hung, by the oblong opening 23 , on the tab 37 , as illustrated in FIG. 7 . A second phase of the positioning process then consists in bending the lower leaf, in particular 14 , so as to present the transverse edge 20 perpendicular to the cross member 31 to ensure the engagement of this edge inside from the pen tray that this crosspiece represents, as shown in fig. 8 . The leaves 13 and 14 , as well as the back 15 can then be pressed against the support plane defined by the uprights 28 , in order to constitute by themselves a plane support surface in the best conditions of exposure or writing a sheet or a bundle of sheets 7 .

In this example of application, the case 12 is produced so as to have, once opened, a length to flat corresponding to the measurement separating the member 35 from the cross member 31 . It should be considered, however, that a briefcase 12 of smaller length could also be used in combination with the supporting structure.

Fig. 10 shows that it can be envisaged to use the table 1 , constituted in the form of a briefcase, in an autonomous manner by then planning to unfold the leaves 13 and 14 beyond their mutual alignment with the back 15 and continue this opening to give them a relative position in inverted "V". The leaves are held in this relative position by a spacer bar 39 intended to be engaged in the oblong slots 23 and 24 and having notches 40 making it possible to establish, with the edges delimiting these slots, a stable locking in a position d relative inclination of leaves 13 and 14 .

In such a position, the transverse edges 19 and 20 constitute, in a way, supports making it possible to support the case in the inverted "V" position on a seating and presentation plane 41 , such as a table. A sheet or a bundle of sheets supported by the case, occupying the position illustrated in FIG. 10 , can thus be used by half-part for the inscription of various signs, as well as for the execution of geometrical tracings and, in particular, of tables or lines, by using, as said previously, the rod 10 engaged in certain notches 9 .

The constitution of the table 1 in the form of a case has the additional advantage of allowing, in a practical and space-saving form, storage, storage but also archiving after use. In this regard, at least one of the outer faces of the case may include impressions or delimited surfaces to facilitate the provision, by any suitable means, of classification and identification information.

The invention is not limited to the examples described and shown, since various modifications can be made thereto without departing from its scope.

Claims (8)

1 - Lecturer's table, characterized in that it includes:
- a case ( 12 ) with two hinged leaves ( 13, 14 ) containing a bundle of leaves,
- additional means ( 21, 22 ) for temporary closure provided near the edges of the leaves,
- Edges ( 17, 18 ) rising from the leaves and having notches ( 9 ) for the temporary adaptation of a strip or rod ( 10 ). 2 - Lecturer's table according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one of the leaves has a third edge ( 20 ) notched. 3 - Lecturer's table according to claim 1, characterized in that the leaves have, set back from the edges provided with the closure means, oblong slots ( 23, 24 ) forming grips. 4 - Lecturer's table according to claim 3, characterized in that one of the oblong slots is provided for cooperation with a hanger ( 25, 35 ). 5 - Lecturer's table according to claim 4, characterized in that the case is adapted by one of the oblong slots on the suspension tab ( 35 ) surmounting a support easel ( 26 ). 6 - Lecturer's table according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the suspension tab defines a tubular guide ( 38 ) with a horizontal axis for the engagement of a rod. 7 - Lecturer's table according to claim 5, characterized in that the case ( 12 ) has, in the open position, a length such that after hanging on the suspension tab ( 35 ) of an easel, the edge of the lower leaf , parallel to the articulation line, is fitted into a pencil box angle ( 31 ) carried by the easel. 8 - Lecturer's table according to claim 3, characterized in that the oblong openings ( 23, 24 ) are provided for the removable adaptation of a spacer piece ( 39 ) keeping the leaves in an inverted "V" opening position in which the internal faces of the leaves are directed outwards and in which the notched edges ( 19, 20 ) of these leaves, parallel to their common line of articulation, constitute bearing edges on a support plane.
