Description

The invention relates to a rotary nozzle according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Rotary nozzles of this type have a corresponding pressure good cleaning effect. However, the previous nozzles are extremely complicated, require a large number of parts and the sealing between moving elements is difficult.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a rotary nozzle which, with an extremely simple construction, works practically maintenance-free.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a rotary nozzle with the features of patent claim 1.

Preferred developments of the rotary nozzle according to the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The special angular displacement of the nozzle results in the desired rotation while maintaining a high pressure. This is reinforced by the braking effect of the brake elements acting under centrifugal force. The leakage water that occurs in the sealless rotary nozzle is integrated into the spray jet so that it does not interfere.

As shown in Fig. 1, the rotary nozzle according to the invention is made up of very few parts. 1 shows a central element 10 for connection to a conventional spray lance, via which valve-controlled liquid, in particular water, is fed at high pressure, for example from a high-pressure pump.

A cup 12 is placed on the central element 10, in which a rotating body 14 can rotate about a central axis 16 of the rotary nozzle.

A threaded connection 18 of the central element 10 opens into a central bore 20 which extends approximately to the middle of a pin-shaped extension 22 of the central element 10. In the free end of the pin-shaped extension 22, a threaded bore is provided, into which a screw 24 can be screwed, which limits the rotating body 14 in a movement in the direction of the axis 16.

At the end of the bore 20, a few radial bores 26 are provided in the pin-shaped projection 22 over the circumference open into a circumferential groove 28 of the pin-shaped extension 22. The outer diameter of the pin-shaped extension 22 is slightly larger in the area of the bore 20 than that in the area of the threaded bore 30.

The rotating body 14 is shown in Figures 1 to 4. It has a central bore 32 (FIG. 2), the diameter of which is adapted to the two outer diameters of the pin-shaped extension 22. In the area of the circumferential groove 28, the rotating body 14 is provided with an annular, internal recess 34, into which an asymmetrical bore 36 is guided from the end face 38 of the rotating body 14. As can be seen from the figures, the bore runs once at an acute angle with respect to the central axis 16 (FIG. 1). On the other hand, the bore 36 is also offset in the direction of rotation, as is shown in particular in FIG. 4. The latter displacement, which can take place at an angle of between 5 degrees and 20 degrees, in particular of the order of magnitude between 10 and 15 degrees, causes the rotary body 14 to rotate under the pressure of the water supplied, the displacement angle having a substantial influence on the achieved Speed. Depending on the angle and water pressure, this can be a few thousand rpm.

The acute angle shown in FIG. 1 between the central axis 16 and the direction of the bore 36 is also in the range of, for example, 5 to 20 degrees and depends on the desired diameter of the output jet of the rotary nozzle.

A rectifier body 42 is inserted in the bore 36 and has a number of bores 40 parallel to the central axis of the bore 36 distributed over its cross section. This rectifier body is used so that the radial bores 26 and the recess 34 are supplied and swirled via the bore 20 in the direction of the central axis of the bore 34 and in one of the end face 38 of the To direct the rotating body 14 inserted nozzle 44. The nozzle 44 is preferably screwed into the rotating body 14 and is sealed therein by means of an O-ring 46. The nozzle 44 has a channel 50 which narrows gradually towards its outlet opening 48, this channel preferably tapering non-linearly, for example hyperbolically or parabolically. On its end face, the nozzle 44 can be provided with a slot 51, which is used to engage a screwdriver.

The central element 10 has at the attachment of the pin 22 a stop surface 19 which extends transversely to the central axis 16 and which is opposite an annular area 52 of the rear end face of the rotating body 14. The rest of the outer area of the rear face is chamfered. A central recess 54 on the front end face 38 of the rotating body 14 receives the head of the screw 24, at the bottom of the recess 54 an annular flange 56 (FIG. 3) is provided, which has a substantially circular contact with the underside of the head of the screw 24 offers (Fig. 1). It should be noted that the rotating body 14 has a certain play in the longitudinal direction on the central pin 22.

The rotating body 14 is provided in the area near the front end face 38 with circumferentially distributed radial openings, in particular bores 58, into which centrifugal elements such as balls 60 or rollers can be inserted. The balls 60 are circumferentially distributed over the rotating body 14 in such a way that, taking into account the nozzle 44, there is an approximately rotationally symmetrical balancing.

Fig. 1 shows that the cup 12, which can be made of plastic or metal, is attached to the rear extension 62 of the central element 10, the attachment can be done, for example, by pressing onto the rear extension 62 provided with a circumferential groove 64. The goblet 12 surrounds the rotating body 14 and extends beyond it so far that the one emitted by the nozzle 44 is concentrated The water jet preferably passes just past the inner edge 66 of the front opening 68 of the cup 12, as is indicated by the dash-dotted line 70 in FIG. 1. The shape of the cup 12 is preferably such that at least its inner jacket gradually opens from the fastening area and then merges into the cylindrical area 72. The rotating body 14 is located in the opening funnel-shaped region 74, its outer surface being adapted to the inclination of the funnel-shaped region 74 and there being a certain distance between them. At least in the area of the balls 60, the interior of the cup can be provided with depressions 76 which, in the case of the embodiment according to FIG. 1, consist of longitudinal grooves which extend from the end edge 68 to the balls 60 and are distributed circumferentially.

It should be noted that no seals between parts moving relative to each other are required within the entire rotating nozzle.

Die erfindungsgemäße Rotationsdüse arbeitet wie folgt:The rotary nozzle according to the invention works as follows:

When water is supplied through the central bore 20, the radial bores 26 to the recess 34 and the rectifier body 40 to the nozzle 44, the offset position of the nozzle 44 on the rotating body 14 generates a torque which sets the rotating body 14 in rotation. The back pressure generated in the nozzle 44 would push the rotating body in the direction to the right in FIG. 1, so that the annular surface 52 comes into contact with the projection 19. Due to the different hydraulic pressure surfaces in the recess 34 with respect to the front and rear area of the rotating body 14, this pressure can be at least partially compensated for. Lubrication is not necessary insofar as water gets between the two surfaces 19, 52 between the inner surface of the rotating body 14 and the outer surface of the pin 22. This leakage water is not disturbing since it is inside the cup 12 in the direction of the front edge 68 of the cup 12 flows and is taken there by the jet 70 from the nozzle 44.

To reduce the speed at high pressure at the outlet of the nozzle 44, the balls 60 can preferably be provided, which are pressed out under centrifugal force when the rotating body 14 rotates and rub against the inner surface 72 of the cup 12, so that braking occurs. This can be reinforced by the fact that the grooves 76 are provided, into which the balls can drop briefly when the rotating body 14 rotates, which causes increased braking.

The result is a rotary nozzle that can work at very high pressure, has an extremely good cleaning effect, is made up of very few parts and is completely sealless and maintenance-free. Depending on the angular position of the axis of the nozzle 44 and the dimensioning of the balls 60 or grooves 72, the rotary nozzle can be designed for very different pressures. The otherwise irritating leakage water is carried along by the sharp jet 70. The hydraulic pressure difference in the area of the recess 34 significantly reduces the friction on the end faces of the rotating body 14. The rectifier body 40 used in the two embodiments of the invention can consist of both metal and plastic, with longitudinal grooves also being able to take the place of bores.

It should also be noted that the offset angle of the axis of the nozzles 44 also determines the starting behavior of the rotary nozzle. If necessary, it should also be selected taking into account the braking means so that the omnidirectional jet is not atomized due to the air resistance and the centrifugal force and is therefore ineffective.
