Method and device for removing the uppermost part of a stack of fabric layers. A pressure element (12) with a smooth surface is pressed onto the stack (3) to form swellings or bulges (7), moved transversely to the longitudinal axis of the pressure element (12) towards the edge of the stack (3), the swell (7 ) enlarged in front of the pressure element (12) and thus a gripping device is reliably gripped by the gripper and fed to a desired location. In a further development, the pressure element (12) is moved under pressure contact over the stack (3) and pushes the layers of fabric with the edges in a scaly manner beyond the edge of the stack (3). During the return movement without exerting pressure, a compressed air jet directed at an inclined plate (14) generates negative pressure between the plate (14) and the top layer of fabric (1), by means of which this is lifted onto the plate (14). The pressure element (12) is designed in the first case as a hollow body with suction or blowing openings and in the second case is arranged on the inclined plate (14), on the surface of which one or more blowing openings (18) are directed.
Description
Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Abnehmen des jeweils obersten Teiles eines aus Stofflagen gebildeten StapelsMethod and device for removing the uppermost part of a stack formed from layers of fabric
The invention relates to a method and a device for removing the uppermost part of an elastically compressible stack of layers of fabric, in which a removal element is brought into engagement with the stack and moved relative to it (BE patent 806 542).
The layers of fabric can be of very different types. They can have a smooth or rough surface and the friction between the layers of fabric can be small or large. In the manufacture of clothing, the layers of fabric stacked on top of each other are removed one by one for further processing.
The above-mentioned process serves to automate the separation of stacked layers of fabric. This known method is based on the idea that the uppermost layer of material must be moved by the application of friction relative to the underlying layer of material in order to cause the material layer to swell and / or shift beyond the edge of the stack so that it durron grips a gripping device. can be removed from the stack and placed in a desired location.
The basic idea here is that no slip should occur between the gripper and the fabric layer. This means that the grippers have a rough surface got to. However, this often leads to damage to the fabric layer.
An attempt has therefore been made to successively remove the layers of fabric from the stack by suction air nozzles. The disadvantage here, however, is that the security against the removal of more than one layer of fabric is not guaranteed.
The invention has for its object to develop a method by which the separation of the stacked layers of fabric is ensured regardless of the type of material, without the risk of damage to the fabric layers.
This object is achieved by the method steps specified in
In contrast to the known method, in which a gripper with a rough surface exerts almost no pressure or just so much pressure on the stack that the friction between the gripper and the top layer of material is sufficient to take it along, the stack is made by a pressure element with a smooth surface Formation of swellings is pressed in locally, a swell is enlarged during the displacement and can therefore be safely picked up by the gripper of a removal device. It is surprising that in this way a clear separation or separation of the uppermost layer of fabric in a stack is achieved without damaging the material.
An advantageous further development of the invention is specified in
It should be emphasized that it is known per se from GB-PS 1,055,785 to use an air stream which is directed towards the surface of a curved plate and generates a reduced air pressure under the plate to lift the topmost layer of material from a stack. which raises part of the top layer of fabric. However, there is no slidable movement of the plate over the stack; A suction pad is used to remove the top layer of fabric.
A particularly advantageous embodiment of a device for carrying out the method according to
If the pressure element, which is designed as a hollow body and is movable transversely to its longitudinal axis, has suction nozzles, the swelling in front of the pressure element is sucked onto the hollow body and the removal and removal of the uppermost layer of fabric is accomplished in this way. When using blowing nozzles, the swelling of the fabric layer is sucked into the hollow body by using the Coanda effect, removed and carried away.
A structurally simple device for carrying out the method according to
The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- 1 shows the formation of the swellings in the uppermost layer of fabric of a stack of layers by static loading of the pressure element in a side view,
- 2 the enlargement of the corrugation of the uppermost layer of fabric of the stack in front of the pressure element provided as a hollow body with blowing or suction nozzles during its transverse movement,
- 3a, 3b, 3c show the separation and lifting of the uppermost layer of fabric of a stack of parts by means of an inclined plate, which is subjected to an air jet and can be moved over the stack, with the pressure element provided thereon, in FIG. 3a an enlarged section of the pressure element and some layers of fabric are drawn out.
Fig. 1 shows only the two upper layers of fabric (1 and 2) of a stack (3) from cut pieces of clothing. A force in the direction of arrow (5) is exerted on the stack (3) by means of a pressure element (4) with a smooth surface, so that the stack (3) is pressed in locally. Corrugations (6 and 7) are formed on both sides of the pressure element (4), but in practice these are not sufficient to remove the top layer of fabric (1) from the stack (3) because the top layer of fabric is also stretched by the static load and this affects wrinkling.
Will the pressure element (4), as in Fig. 2 using the example of a pressure element designed as a hollow body (8) with blowing or suction openings (9) arranged in a row or an air slot, in addition to the force directed in the direction of the arrow (5) gives a force directed in the horizontal direction by the arrow (10) , then there is a movement transverse to the longitudinal axis of the pressure element (8) towards the edge of the stack (3). The swell (7) in front of the pressure element (8) is bulged much more, ie considerably enlarged, while the swell (6) behind the pressure element (8) is pulled smooth. The uppermost layer of fabric (1) can then be gripped easily and securely on the enlarged swell (7), for example by a suction pipe (11) of a removal device running parallel to the pressure element (8) and removed from the stack (3).
If the pressure element, which is designed as a hollow body (8) with an air slot or air openings, is connected to a vacuum source that is switched on during the transverse displacement, then the top layer of fabric (1) in the area of the enlarged swell (7) is attached to the surface of the hollow body (8). sucked in, if necessary supported by rotation of the hollow body (8).
If compressed air is blown through the air slot or the openings (9) during the transverse displacement of the hollow body (8), it flows along the circumferential surface of the hollow body (8), a vacuum between the hollow body (8) and the enlarged one due to the Coanda effect Corrugation (7) of the top layer of fabric (1) is generated. When the swell (7) is pushed over the edge of the stack (3), the negative pressure pulls the edge area of the top layer of fabric (1) upwards and the edge can be gripped by a known removal device for the further transport of the fabric layer (1). The pressure element (4 or 8) is preferably wider than the stacked layers of fabric. The openings (9) can be suction or blowing openings.
Durch die glatte abgerundete Kante (13) kann eine Verschiebung über die oberste Stofflage (1) des Stapels (3) unter Druckkontakt (Kraft gemäß Pfeil 16, Fig. 3a) durch eine in Richtung des Pfeiles (15), Fig. 3a gerichtete Kraft stattfinden.3a, 3b and 3c, the pressure element is designed as a bent edge (12) with a rounded edge (13) of a plate (14) which is directed obliquely upwards from the edge (12) to the edge of the stack (3) . Due to the smooth rounded edge (13), a displacement over the top layer of fabric (1) of the stack (3) under pressure contact (force according to
Fig. 3a shows that when moving in the direction of arrow (15) first the swelling or bulging of the layers of fabric takes place. From Fig. 3b it can be seen that when the edge (12) approaches the edge of the stack (3), the swell (7) relaxes and the edge region of the layers of fabric moves in a scaly manner beyond the edge of the stack (3) . The plate (14) is then raised slightly so that the force acting in the direction of the arrow (16) no longer acts on the stack (3) and the plate (14) in the direction of the arrow (17) in its starting position or in the Is moved back close to it. During this movement, compressed air is blown onto the top of the plate (14) through a line (18) arranged above the plate (14). Due to the Bernoulli effect that occurs - the ambient air flows in the direction of the arrow (19) - negative pressure is generated between the plate (14) and the top layer of fabric (1), causing the top layer (1) to the underside of the plate is raised. This layer of fabric (1) can then be gripped by known acceptance techniques and fed to a desired location.
With the method according to the invention it is thus possible to remove a fabric layer from a stack without lifting the second fabric layer under the top fabric layer or damaging a fabric layer by separating the top fabric layer from the fabric layers underneath with a sliding movement under gentle pressure on the Stack that can be combined with a blowing system.
