Description

The invention relates to a squeezable container for liquid goods in particular, made from a single, stiff, but flexible, flat material blank made of coated cardboard, which by bulging and shaping a central portion or bottom of the initially flat blank preferably inwards and by simultaneously erecting and bulging two side sections are formed until the opposite side edges and flanges of these side sections are joined and sealed, the flanges lying one on top of the other not being connected at least at one point to form at least one flat passage or outlet and forming flat boundary walls for the passage which can be lifted off from one another by the extrusion pressure, which opens into a removable tongue that is closed before use.

Such a container is known from EP-A-78 471 (DE-OS-3 143 671) and has proven itself above all as a reusable package for relatively small quantities or as a single-use package, in particular for pasty filling goods. The contents of the container can be pressed out through the then opened outlet after the tongue has been torn off or cut off.

When squeezing out a liquid, however, due to the width of the passage and an uncontrolled lifting of the two boundary walls from one another and possibly due to a relatively irregular tear-off edge, liquid jets can arise in different and, above all, unpredictable directions, so that a user may be surprised by a surprise can contaminate the unexpected direction of this jet or wastes liquid that cannot find its destination due to this almost any direction of exit.

It is therefore the task of creating a container of the type mentioned at the outset in which the advantages of the known container are retained, above all in terms of simple and inexpensive production and also easy to use, but nevertheless safe and targeted dispensing of a liquid by squeezing out the container is possible.

The solution to this problem consists essentially in the fact that the exit or passage on at least one of its flat boundary walls has a pre-shaped bulge extending in the exit direction in the form of a guide channel which extends into the separable region of the tongue. The result of this is that when the tongue is cut off, an opening of this guide channel is released, which causes a targeted jet of liquid. The liquid will then exit at this guide channel instead of at the more or less closely adjacent boundary walls, from which it receives a desired direction.

It is particularly expedient if both walls delimiting the outlet have bulges facing away from one another at corresponding locations. This increases the cross section of the guide channel.

The channel-shaped deformations and bulges of the boundary walls can be formed by grooves which are directed away from one another in cross section. These can be attached particularly easily when the container blank is being produced.

The creasing can run approximately at right angles to the separating edge of the detachable tongue. This results in a preferred direction of the emerging liquid jet practically transverse to the container mouth. However, it is also possible to provide at least two, possibly parallel or, particularly preferably, guide channels or creases which face one another obliquely in the exit direction. The increase in the number of guide channels either makes it possible to keep the corresponding deformations smaller with the same amount of discharge or else allows faster emptying if the channel cross sections are of the same size. The latter can be particularly advantageous in the case of larger containers of the type mentioned at the outset.

An embodiment of the invention of considerable importance, in particular to facilitate operation, can be that the tear-off tongue is connected to the container via a tear-open aid. A tear extending transversely to the guide channel can be provided as a ripping aid. This results in a narrowing of the cross-section of this mouth after the tongue is torn off at the mouth of the channel, because the creasing compresses the channel reaching into the tongue. However, this narrowing of the cross section can immediately give in to the internal pressure of the liquid to be pressed out. At the same time it is achieved that after the tongue has been torn off, the opening of the channel is initially at least partially closed, so that the ingress of contaminants is prevented until the actual emptying process is carried out on the container, so that such a container is torn off Tongue can already be prepared for emptying, but does not have to be emptied immediately.

A further embodiment of the invention to improve operability can consist in the fact that the tongue is enlarged compared to the passage and the edge flanges for better grasping and easier tearing. It can then be well gripped and torn off by persons with hand or fingers or under unfavorable conditions, for example by an athlete during a run, with a tongue that has practically only the width of the side flanges of the container with respect to the passage sweaty or disabled fingers is hardly possible.

Especially when combining individual or Several of the features and measures described above result in a squeezable container with which, above all, liquid can be removed in a targeted manner and without the risk of contamination or waste, while the manufacture of the container and the operability remain simple. Above all, the preformed guide channel in the area of the passage allows the ease of use of this container and its suitability, especially for liquids, to be significantly increased. However, pastes located in the container can also be removed in a preformed manner, as is the case, for. B. is often desired for toothpaste or similar pastes.

The invention is explained in more detail below with its details that are essential to it, using the drawing in several exemplary embodiments.

It shows:
  • 1 shows the mouth area of a container according to the invention with the detachable tongue and a guide channel,
  • 2 is a partial view corresponding to FIG. 1 of a container with two parallel guide channels in the area of the detachable tongue,
  • 3 a representation corresponding to FIG. 2 of the mouth area of the container with two guide channels running obliquely to one another in the exit direction,
  • Fig. 4 is a representation corresponding to Fig. 3, in which the tearable tongue is enlarged compared to the other embodiments, and
  • 5 shows an enlarged representation of a cross section of the mouth region and the guide channels according to line V - V in FIG. 4, this cross section of FIG. 5 also matching FIGS. 3 and 2 and analogously to FIG. 1.

A squeezable container, generally designated 1, each shown in the various exemplary embodiments only in its region facing away from its bottom or middle section, hereinafter also referred to briefly as container 1, is made from a single, stiff but flexible flat material blank made of coated cardboard, which is formed by bulging and shaping the bottom, not shown, and by simultaneously erecting and bulging two side sections until the opposite side edges and flanges 2 are joined and sealed. At one point, the flanges 2 lying one on top of the other are not connected to form a passage or outlet 3, which can be seen particularly in FIG. 5, and here form flat boundary walls 4 for the passage 3 that can be lifted off from one another by the extrusion pressure, which in FIG are shown at a slight distance from each other.

The passage 3, which is arranged in the region of the section line V - V in FIG. 4 and at a corresponding point in the other figures, opens into a separable tongue 5, which is also closed and has circumferential flanges before use.

In order to achieve a directed and safely guided jet of a squeezable liquid after the tongue has been separated, the outlet or passage 3 has at least one of its flat boundary walls a pre-shaped bulge 6 which extends in the outlet direction and forms a guide channel 7 for the liquid which extends up to the detachable area of the tongue 5 runs.

The guide channel 7 on the right in FIG. 5 shows that both the walls 4 delimiting the outlet 3 can also have bulges 6 facing away from one another at corresponding locations for a correspondingly larger cross section of the guide channel 7. At the same time, it can be seen that these channel-forming bulges 6 can expediently be formed by grooves which are directed away from one another in cross-section or from the opposite boundary wall 4 and which can be very easily molded into a cardboard blank. According to FIG. 1 or also according to FIG. 2, the bulge 6 or the guide channel 7 formed thereby can run at right angles to the separating edge marked by two notches delimiting the tongue 5 and lying opposite one another. This results in a single straight-directed exit jet in a container 1 according to FIG. 1, while in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 two parallel, but defined, such jets can arise during the squeezing, which may even result from the region of the boundary walls 4 lying between them being lifted off can merge.

Instead of the two parallel guide channels 7, guide channels 7, which are arranged obliquely to one another in the exit direction, can also be provided according to FIGS. 3 and 4, in order to enable better targeting at one point, but nevertheless increase the exit quantity and / or reduce the channel cross sections. It is possible that the area of the boundary walls 4 located between the two guide channels 7 is expanded somewhat by the outlet pressure, so that ultimately an overall approximately conical channel is created which allows and facilitates particularly good targeted removal.

The operation of the squeezable container 1 can be improved in that the tearable Tongue 5 is connected to the container via a tear-open aid, which can be implemented, for example, in the form of the notches 8. However, there is also the possibility that instead of or additionally as a tear-open means, a groove running transversely to the guide channel or channels 7 is provided, along which the tongue 5 can be torn off.

In all of the exemplary embodiments, an embodiment of the container 1 is also shown to be of very considerable importance for a good and targeted removal option, which consists in that the mouth region with the guide channel or channels 7 and the tongue 5 are arranged on a protrusion 9 projecting relative to the container 1 is. This makes it possible, after removal of the tongue 5, to insert this projection 9, for example, into a narrow opening or even into the mouth and to remove the liquid in a targeted manner with the aid of the guide channels 7. This can be particularly advantageous when the container 1 is used as a disposable container for drinking during a competition or for taking a medication. Furthermore, the contents of the container, for example a powder or some other mass, can be conveniently transferred to a larger vessel, which may have a narrowed opening because the projection 9 can then be inserted somewhat into this opening.
