Claims (2)

1. Cylinder head of a controlled-ignition internal combustion engine, comprising combustion chambers (3) associated with corresponding cylinders of the engine, and wherein each combustion chamber (3) is provided with a spark plug (30), two intake valves (7, 8) and an exhaust valve (9) adapted to seal two intake ducts (4,5) and an exhaust duct (6) which emerge, respectively, in two opposite lateral faces (10, 11) of the cylinder head (1), and in each combustion chamber (3) the exhaust valve (9) and a first intake valve (7) are arranged nearest the lateral surface (11) where the exhaust duct (6) emerges, characterised in that the two intake valves (7, 8) are substantially diametrically opposed, and the inner end (30a) of the spark plug (30) is located between the two intake valves (7, 8), on the side opposite the exhaust valve (9) and close to the center of the chamber (3), and in that the spark plug (30) is screwed into the lateral face (10) where the intake ducts (4, 5) emerge and it is arranged, in an inclined position, below the duct (4) associated with the first intake valve (7).
2. Cylinder head according to claim 1, characterised in that the valves (7, 8, 9) are driven by an overhead shaft (18) with cams (16,17), via two respective push rods (15, 14) for the exhaust valve (9) and for the first intake valve (7), and via a rocker arm (19) for the other intake valve (8).
