Abstract

Appareil pour traiter des gaz de fummée, en particulier des gaz d'échappement d'un moteur à combustion. L'appareil se compose d'une chambre de turbulences (1) à laquelle est amené tangentiellement les gaz à traiter. La chambre est un espace cylindrique symétrique, s'élargissant à partir des bords en direction du centre, à l'axe (A-A) duquel est connecté le conduit d'air (4). Au milieu de la paroi de la chambre (1) se trouve une ouverture par laquelle le mélange de gaz et d'air est rétiré de la chambre de turbulences. L'appareil est conçu pour être fixé au collecteur d'échappement ou au tuyau d'échappement d'un moteur, ou alors au conduit de fumée d'un appareil utilisant un combustible liquide ou solide. L'appareil de traitement conforme à la présente invention comporte deux unités de traitement. La première se compose de la chambre de turbulences (1), de la première chambre de réaction cylindrique symétrique (2) placée sur l'axe (A-A) de la chambre (1), cette chambre de réaction étant connectée avec la première ouverture d'échappement (3) à la chambre de turbulences (1), ainsi que du premier conduit d'air (4) qui est connecté à la chambre de turbulences (1) et à la chambre de réaction (2). La seconde unité de traitement se compose de la seconde ouverture d'échappement (5) dans la chambre de turbulences (1), cette ouverture se trouvant sur l'axe (A-A) de la chambre de turbulences (1) à l'opposé de la première ouverture d'échappement (3) et de la chambre de réaction (2), de la chambre intermédiaire cylindrique (6) connectée à l'ouverture d'échappement (5), de la chambre d'échappement conique (7) suivant la chambre intermédiaire et de la seconde chambre de réaction cylindrique symétrique (8).
