Description

The invention relates to an installation for transporting products or people, with overhead cable.

There are already known installations for transporting products or people, overhead cable, of the type comprising or one or more overhead carrier cables, tractors stretching between two end stations respectively for loading or boarding and unloading or disembarking with possibly one or more intermediate stations, maintained and guided by support rollers and compression rollers carried by one or more generally several pylons distributed between the stations and with which one or more vehicles (in particular cabins) are associated in a fixed or disengageable manner. These installations are of the pulsed or back and forth type or of any other type.

Cette structure est particulièrement bien adaptée à une charge répartie comme c'est le cas lorsque les cabines ont un poids unitaire compris entre 300 kilogrammes et 1,5 tonne environ, deux cabines voisines étant écartées l'une de l'autre d'une distance comprise entre 15 mètres et 45 mètres environ (ce qui correspond à une charge répartie moyenne de l'ordre de 30 kilogrammes par mètre linéaire).Often, the rollers are associated in pairs by being mounted at the two ends of primary pendulums articulated in their middle part at the two ends of secondary pendulums, themselves mounted in the same way on one or more tertiary pendulums and so on, depending on the number of rollers. The last pendulum forms a mounted beam articulated in its middle part to a gallows of the pylon. Such a structure has the advantage of being standardized, of allowing the rollers to follow the path of the cable, whatever its state of charge, to lead to a homogeneous distribution of the load on the rollers. This structure is particularly well suited to a distributed load, as is the case when the cabins have a unit weight of between 300 kg and approximately 1.5 tonnes, two neighboring cabins being spaced apart from each other by a distance between approximately 15 meters and 45 meters (which corresponds to an average distributed load of around 30 kilograms per linear meter).

However, if one considers a concentrated and not distributed load, this structure has serious drawbacks. In this case, the load is on the one hand relatively large - in particular of the order of 1.5 to 2.5 tonnes per linear meter - and on the other hand concentrated over a limited length - in particular of the order of 3 at 6 meters. This occurs with large cabins following each other in close proximity to each other. In this case, and due to the concentration of the load on the cable, the latter can move suddenly and with great amplitude when the vehicles pass in front of a pylon. This leads to a vehicle swing movement which is always troublesome, especially if it is a cabin for passengers, the comfort of which is far from satisfactory. This disadvantage is all the greater the greater the linear speed of the cable.

American patent US-A-4 363 945 describes a device for detecting the derailment of a cable supported by a train of rollers, but does not provide any solution to the problem referred to above.

The invention proposes to provide a solution to these drawbacks. To this end, it offers an installation in accordance with claim 1.

In return, such structures according to the invention cannot be totally standardized, as usually desired by designers and constructors, and must be calculated and adapted to each particular case. Similarly, contrary to the usual wishes of designers and builders, the load is not necessarily evenly distributed on the rollers.

Or now referring to FIG. 1 which represents an installation for transporting a product or people with overhead cable, of the type comprising one or more overhead cables 1, carriers, tractors, extending between two end stations respectively for loading or boarding 2a and unloading or disembarking 2b, possibly with one or more intermediate stations (not shown), maintained and guided by support rollers and compression rollers 3 carried by one or more generally several pylons 4 distributed between the stations and which are associated, in a fixed or disengageable manner, one or more vehicles 5 in particular cabins.

The installation is of the pulsed or back and forth type, or of any other type, subject to what is mentioned below as regards its "concentrated load" character. It comprises one or more carrying cables and tractors or even several cables each carrying or tractor. In the rest of the text, or speaks "of" cable without further specification, which therefore refers to all possible variants.

As mentioned above, the installation is of the "concentrated load" type, that is to say that the distribution of the vehicles 5 along the cable 1 and the capacity of the vehicles 5 are such that the load that they exert on the cable 1 is on the one hand relatively large - in particular of the order of 1.5 to 2.5 tonnes per linear meter - and, on the other hand, concentrated over a limited length - in particular of l '' order from 3 to 6 meters. The case of a concentrated load installation is present with several cabins - for example three - following each other in close proximity to each other and possibly associated with one another.

The values indicated are not to be considered strictly, but allow an installation according to the invention to be opposed to installations of the known state of the art, with distributed load (average distributed load of the order of 30 kilograms per linear meter of cable and vehicles spaced approximately 15 to 45 meters apart).

Preferably, the installation is also of the fast-scrolling type, the linear threading speed of the cable 1 being between 7 and 8 meters per second, in particular equal to or of the order of 7.5 meters per second.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3, a pylon 4 has at least one fixed beam 6 carried by at least one bracket 7 and on which are mounted the rollers 3 (support or compression).

The rollers 3 are therefore individually or in groups - in particular in pairs as in the example shown - completely independent of the rollers 3 or of the neighboring groups of rollers 3 (this as opposed to the prior art or from one end to the other). 'other of a train of rollers, the rollers are kinematically associated with each other thanks to the primary and secondary pendulums, etc. articulated).

Cette structure permet donc d'éviter le déplacement brusque et de grande amplitude du câble 1, lorsque les véhicules 5 passent au droit d'un pylône 4.The function of this structure is to impose at least partially the routing or limits to the routing of the cable 1 (this as opposed to the prior art where it is the routing of the cable which determines the position of the rollers). This structure therefore makes it possible to avoid the sudden and large amplitude movement of the cable 1, when the vehicles 5 pass in line with a pylon 4.

Thus, thanks to the invention, it is avoided that the vehicles 5 constituting a concentrated load are affected by a swinging movement while passing in line with a pylon 4, even though the vehicles 5 create a load on the cable 1 concentrated.

The rollers 3 are mounted on the fixed beam 6 along a reference curve C. This reference curve C is an intermediate curve between the different curves corresponding to the different possible states of charge. The curve C can, for example, correspond to the state where the cable 1 undergoes the maximum load. Curve C can correspond to a particular or fictitious state of charge between the different possible states of charge, depending on the configuration of the installation.

This curve C is determined by calculation for each particular location. In some cases, this curve C can be concavity, turned upwards or downwards and approach a parabola or a chain. In other cases, it can also have a more complex form.

Preferably and for reasons of resistance, the curve C extends in the middle part of the fixed beam 6. For this reason, the fixed beam 6 can have more or less complex shapes depending on the case.

The fixed beam 6 can have, in particular, a general form of pseudo circular segment, which allows it to be used with different reference curves. This characteristic which allows a certain standardization is illustrated by FIG. 4 in which it can be seen that the same fixed beam 6 can relate to several - in fact three reference curves C1, C2, C3, etc. Depending on the requirements, the rollers 3 are distributed regularly or not along the reference curve C.

According to a possible alternative embodiment, not shown, the axes 3a of the rollers 3 are mounted fixed on the fixed beam 6. In this case, the rollers 3 have only a single envelope curve (tangent to the rollers 3).

According to another possible alternative embodiment, shown in FIG. 2, the axes 3a of the rollers 3 are mounted mobile on the fixed beam 6. These rollers 3 or some of them then have several possible envelope curves. To this end, the rollers 3 can be carried by pendulums 8 articulated on the fixed beam 6 around axes 8a, parallel to the axes 3a. In one possible embodiment, a balance 8 supports two rollers 3 placed respectively at each of its end parts 8b, the hinge pin 8a of the balance 8 being in its middle part 8c. This arrangement allows a certain standardization while ensuring a minimum of contact between the cable 1 and the rollers 3, in the different possible states of charge of the cable 1.

It is clear that a balance 8 can receive a number of different rollers. The fixed beam 6 can, for its part, receive any suitable number of rollers 3 ranging from a few - eight for example - to several tens - thirty for example - the length of the fixed beam 6 is therefore adapted accordingly.

The installation may include, if necessary, means forming a stop limiting the pivoting of the pendulums 8 or even conventional return means urging the pendulums 8 to their reference position.

In FIG. 5 is shown - as a fictitious case and by way of illustration only - the roller train 3 of FIG. 2 in a different configuration (respectively when empty in FIG. 5, and when loaded in FIG. 2). Some or all of the pendulums 8 have pivoted around their axes 8a inducing a new envelope curve -corresponding to the routing of the cable 1-.

Cette disposition est acceptée, en tant que contrepartie à l'absence de mouvement brusque et d'amplitude importante du câble 1.In this situation, some rollers 3 are in contact with the cable 1 - and moreover with a variable pressure more or less important - while other rollers 3 are inactive because they are spaced from the cable 1. This arrangement is accepted, as a counterpart to the absence of sudden movement and significant amplitude of the cable 1.

Claims (8)

1. Aerial-rope installation for transporting goods or persons, of the type having one or more carrying-hauling aerial ropes (1) extending between two end stations respectively for loading or embarking (2a) and unloading or disembarking (2b), possibly with one or more intermediate stations, the ropes being held and guided by support rollers and compression rollers (3) carried by one or more generally several pylons (4) which are distributed between the stations (2a) (2b) and with which are associated in fixed or disengageable manner one or more generally several carriers (5), in particular cabins, a pylon (4) having at least one fixed beam (6) carried by at least one support bracket (7), the rollers (3) being mounted on the beam (6), characterized in that the rollers (3) are mounted on the fixed beam (6) along an intermediate reference curve C between the various rope curves corresponding to the different loading states possible, this reference curve C being determined by calculation for each particular placement, the rollers (3) being mounted on the fixed beam (6) totally independently-individually or in groups-of the neighbouring rollers or groups of rollers (3), the spindle (3a) of each roller (3) being fixedly mounted on the beam (6) or else movably mounted on the beam (6) by way of a rocker (8) articulated on the beam (6), which has the function of determining at least partly the path or the limits of the path of the rope (1) with a view to preventing sudden displacement or displacement of large amplitude of the rope (1) when the carriers (5) pass at right angles to a pylon (4) and thus preventing a swinging movement of the carriers.
2. Installation according to Claim 1, characterized in that its load is concentrated, the distribution and capacity of the carriers (5) being such that the resulting load is on the one hand relatively large-in particular in the order of 1.5 to 2.5 tonnes per linear metre- and on the other hand concentrated over a limited length, in particular in the order of 3 to 6 metres.
3. Installation according to either of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the spindle (3a) of a roller (3) is carried by a rocker (8) articulatedly mounted on the fixed beam (6) about a spindle (8a) parallel to the spindle (3a) of the roller (3).
4. Installation according to Claim 3, characterized in that a rocker (8) has at least two rollers (3), in particular at each of its end parts (8b), the rocker (8) being articulated to the fixed beam (6) in its central part (8c).
5. Installation according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the reference curve C corresponds at least substantially to the state where the rope (1) undergoes maximum load.
6. Installation according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the rollers (3) are distributed regularly or otherwise along the reference curve C.
7. Installation according to any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the linear speed of the rope (1) is between 7 and 8 metres per second, in particular equal to or in the order of 7.5 metres per second.
8. Installation according to any one of Claims 2 to 7, characterized in that it has a plurality of-in particular three-cabins (5) following one another with immediate proximity and associated with one another.
