Abstract
Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Kühlen eines Raumes (3) mit Hilfe von Kohlendioxyd-Trockeneis. Es werden zwei unterschiedliche Kühlbetriebsarten mit unterschiedlichen Kühlleistungen angewendet, d. h. eine Kühlung geringerer Leistung als die erforderliche Kühlleistung als Grundküh lung und eine ergänzende Kühlung, die bedarfsweise ein geschaltet wird. Das für beide Kühlungsarten verwendete Trockeneis befindet sich in einem geschlossenen Behälter (1), der in einem mit einer Wärmeisolierung versehenen Kasten (2) angeordnet ist, wobei zwischen dem geschlosse nen Behälter (1) und der Innenwand des Kastens (2) eine mit dem Kühlraum (3) verbundene Luftführung (4) ausgebildet ist, die an einen in den Kühlraum (3) mündenden Luftkanal (5) angeschlossen ist. Das im Wärmeaustausch mit der Luft in der Luftführung (4) verdampfte Kohlendioxyd wird aus dem Behälter (1) für die Grundkühlung über ein von einem Thermostaten (11) gesteuertes Absperrorgan (10) unmittel bar in den Kühlraum (3) eingeführt und/oder über ein ande res Absperrorgan (8) und eine Düse in die Luftführung (4) oder den Luftkanal (5) eingeblasen, wodurch in der Luftfüh rung eine Strömung erzeugt wird, durch welche die Ver dampfung des Trockeneises in dem Behälter (1) gesteigert wird.
