Definitions
- the invention relates to a valve for an internal combustion engine, in particular an exhaust and / or blow-off valve for a supercharged reciprocating piston internal combustion engine, with a valve disc made of a heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant material and with a valve stem made of a different material than the valve disc, the valve portion end region of the valve stem is arranged in a receiving space provided centrally in the valve plate, preferably reaching close to the valve plate bottom.
- Valves of particularly high-pressure reciprocating internal combustion engines such as e.g. B. the used to control the gas exchange, usually designed as poppet intake and exhaust valves or to control the exhaust pressure of the exhaust valves used in front of an exhaust gas turbocharger tend due to the increasingly sought performance increases in reciprocating internal combustion engines to short life due to hot corrosion, strength and hardness drop .
- such valves show a poor sealing behavior, which is primarily due to the hot corrosion in the area of the valve seat surfaces.
- the ückstandsölen with R (heavy oils) are operated, is a defective layer D behave already
- the valve disk of gas exchange valves usually consists of a high-temperature, corrosion-resistant high-alloy steel (e.g. X45 CrSi93 or a Nimonik material) either in its entirety or is reinforced with a corrosion-resistant high-temperature material.
- a high-temperature, corrosion-resistant high-alloy steel e.g. X45 CrSi93 or a Nimonik material
- the reinforcing or protective plate delimiting the valve plate base is screwed onto the actual valve plate in order to create the possibility that a hot-corroded valve protective plate can be replaced when the valve body is used again can.
- valve of the type mentioned in which essentially the entire valve plate should consist of a material that withstands the thermal and mechanical loads.
- the valve stem on the other hand, should consist of one material
- valve plate and valve stem are to be manufactured by simultaneous upsetting of two cylinder blanks made of different materials, the valve stem being connected to the valve plate by undercuts which occur during the upsetting process. Due to the simultaneous shape and connection of the valve plate, the design options for the valve are subject to considerable restrictions. In addition, a secure connection between the valve plate and valve stem, which can withstand the mechanical loads in highly charged internal combustion engines, can hardly be achieved. In addition, the manufacturing effort to be applied here is considerable and there is a risk of cold corrosion on the valve stem.
- valve stem and the valve plate are designed as components which can be individually manufactured in their essentially outer, operationally appropriate shape, in that the receiving space and at least the end region of the valve stem on the valve plate side have an essentially cylindrical shape, with the valve stem also a circumferential collar is provided which delimits the end area on the valve plate side and which is in a heat-conducting connection in a form-fitting manner with the valve plate, and Valve stem consists of a heat-conducting material at least on its end face facing the valve plate base and its peripheral areas.
- valve plate and valve stem of the valve each of which can be produced separately in their outer shape, enables even geometrically complicated shapes of the contour, for. B. the valve plate in the production in an optimal way B e can be taken into account.
- the valve stem and valve plate can be connected to one another in a simple manner by inserting the valve stem into the receiving space of the valve plate.
- the valve stem extends on the valve plate side to the bottom of the valve plate, and the circumferential collar serves as a limiting element on the valve stem end of the valve plate.
- the valve according to the invention also ensures that the valve temperature is evened out by removing heat via the heat-conducting valve stem from the valve plate bottom and the valve seat surfaces of the valve plate and z.
- B. Below dew point sulfur-containing exhaust gases in the area of the valve stem guide are largely excluded due to the temperature equalization. Overall, the invention therefore results in a valve which is highly suitable for use in supercharged internal combustion engines operated with residual oils (heavy oils).
- FIG. 1 generally designates an exhaust valve according to the invention, which is shown in the embodiment according to FIG. 1 in its arrangement in the exhaust port 2 of the cylinder head 3 of an internal combustion engine, which is not shown in detail.
- the outlet valve 1 consists of a valve plate 4 and a valve stem 5, both the valve plate 4 and the valve stem 5 having been produced completely separately in their outer shape before assembly.
- the valve disk 4 is made of a highly heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant material such as X45 CrSi93, whereas the valve stem is made of an extremely heat-conductive copper-beryllium-bronze alloy.
- valve seat surface areas 4a of the exhaust valve 1 interact with a valve seat ring 6 arranged in the cylinder head 3 of the internal combustion engine. It should be noted that of course, for. B. the valve seat areas can be reinforced with an additional insert body.
- the valve plate has for receiving the valve plate end region 7 of the valve stem 5 4 on a central, essentially cylindrical receiving space 8, which extends close to the valve plate bottom 4b.
- the end plate 7 of the valve stem 5 on the valve plate side is delimited by a circumferential collar 9, to which a circumferential annular groove 10 is connected below.
- valve stem 5 To connect the valve stem 5 to the valve plate 4, the cylindrically shaped end region 7 is inserted into the receiving space 8, the end face of the Valve stem extends to the bottom of the valve plate, ie is in contact with the hottest areas of the valve plate 4. After screwing the valve stem 5 into the receiving space 8, the valve stem end 4c of the valve disc 4 is rolled into the annular groove 10, so that the valve stem 5 is securely held in the receiving space 7 and, moreover, the valve stem 5 is in a heat-conducting connection with the valve disc in a form-fitting manner .
- valve temperature is therefore uniform, so that the risk of hot corrosion in the valve plate area and the risk of cold corrosion in the valve stem area have been effectively counteracted.
- valve according to the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 2 is essentially the same as that of the valve according to the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 1.
- end area 7 of the valve stem 5 on the valve plate side including the circumferential collar 9 with the receiving space 8 and the end portion 4c of the valve plate 11 connected by a thermally conductive soldering.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 in einer Schnittdarstellung in einem Auslaßkanal einer Brennkraftmaschine angeordnetes Ventil;
