In der erfindungsgemässen Längsfalzvorrichtung wird die Falzkraft nicht mehr dem Bahnzug entnommen, sondern durch die Falzwalzen 2, 2' bis 5, 5' jeweils durch Druckkraft erzeugt. Die Führung der beiden Seiten der zu falzenden Bahn kann, falls dies erforderlich ist, durch Leitelemente, z. B. durch Leitbleche oder durch Walzen, vorgenommen werden. Ein derartiges Falzwerk ist in Verbindung mit einer einstellbaren Schneidvorrichtung Format-variabel, was einen weiteren Vorteil bedeutet. Besonders bei extrem breiten Druckmaschinen werden nunmehr Laufprobleme bei mehrlagigen Bahnen eliminiert. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that in order to fold the printing carrier web (6) four profiled pairs of folding rollers (2, 2' to 5, 5') are provided, to which a pair of clamping rollers (1, 1') is connected in series and a pair of rollers (8) lying in the folding plane is connected at the outlet side.
3. Device according to claim 2, characterised in that with a distance of 300 mm between the folding stages (S1 to S5) a 460 mm wide printing carrier web (6) is folded in stages with the following folding angles: 10°, 25°, 30°, 15°, 10° with a resultant vertical displacement of the co-ordinate axes (ZA, YA, XA to ZE, Yε, XE) and an inclination of the above-mentioned centre lines ZA to ZE according to the following co-ordinates:

4. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the folded printing carrier webs (6) can be conveyed, after previous cutting, via several web guide tapes (9, 10) and switches (11) to vane wheels (12 to 14), after which the cut folded products are stream fed by belts (16 to 19) in overlapping manner.
