Dennoch ist eine sichere Gasentnahme gewährleistet: Durch die Verkleidung werden nur jene Flaschenbereiche vor Sonneneinwirkung geschützt, deren Erwärmung aus Sicherheitsgründen vermieden werden muß. In einer Flaschenbatterie beispielsweise stehen die Flaschen vertikal. Ohne jeden Sonnenschutz würden nun die Flaschen erwärmt, die direkt der Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt sind, während die im Schatten dieser Flaschen angeordneten Flaschen keine Erwärmung erfahren. Eine ungleichmäßige Erwärmung verschiedener Flaschen, die z.B. in Form eines Bündels oder einer Batterie an eine gemeinsame Entnahmeleitung angeschlossen sind, ist aber unzulässig, da das exploxible Gas den einzelnen Flaschen in unterschiedlichen Mengen entnommen würde. Claims (5)

1. A protection device in association with gas cylinders which are installed in the open and in which an explosive gas is stored, dissolved in a solvent, under pressure, where the gas cylinders are assembled to form cylinder groups in such manner that they are connected to a common discharge pipeline, characterised in that a casing (2), i.e. screening surfaces (2) made of a material which reflects solar radiation is/are arranged in such manner that the outer cylinder flanks of the outer gas cylinders of the group of cylinders are surrounded by the screening surfaces (2), although the cylinders remain uncovered viewed from above.
2. A protection device in association with gas cylinders installed in the open as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that the screening surfaces (2) are arranged on struts which form a frame (8) and are arranged around the gas cylinders.
3. A protection device in association with gas cylinders installed in the open as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that in the region of the cylinder feet the screening surfaces (2) are provided with openings (3).
4. A protection device in association with gas cylinders installed in the open as claimed in one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that at least on the side facing away from the cylinders the screening surfaces (2) are composed of a material which reflects thermal radiation.
5. A protection device in association with gas cylinders installed in the open as claimed in one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the screening surfaces (2) are composed of aluminium having a glossy surface.
