Definitions

  • the invention relates to a control valve according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a pressure regulator is built into the central housing part and the gas connection openings are formed in the threaded connector of the central housing part.
  • the housing part is designed so that either the control magnet of an ignition fuse based on the ionization principle or the magnet insert and the operating elements of a thermoelectric ignition fuse can be attached, the entire structure of the valve is based on a concept that includes the pressure regulator. If a pressure regulator is not required in a specific application and the valve is used without this functional unit, deflections and relatively narrow channel sections remain in the gas flow path, which in this case unnecessarily increase the flow resistance. Due to the special design of the gas connections, the valve can also be connected to other functional units, e.g. a filter.
  • valve can be assembled in a modular system by individual modules, so that with a relatively small number of different modules all practically required combinations of functional units in a compact design and with little Have flow resistance established.
  • the housing parts on the opposite wall sections are provided with at least one projection and one recess, both the projections and the recesses being diametrically opposite one another and the projections and the wall sections adjoining the recesses having bores which are in the assembled position of the housing parts correspond to one another and through which fastening elements, preferably notch pins, accessible from the circumference of the housing parts engage.
  • the central housing part is designed for the installation of an ignition safety valve upstream of the control valve. Then only a pressure regulator or, when using liquid gas, a module with a main gas throttle needs to be attached to the central module formed in this way. If the modular system is also to contain a module with a filter which is to be connected upstream of all other functional units, it may be expedient to also include the pressure regulator module and the module containing the main gas throttle at both gas connection openings in the manner according to the invention to train. If no further functional units are connected downstream, an appropriately designed intermediate piece for a further conduit or a burner connecting piece can be attached to the outlet opening of the central module.
  • FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the first exemplary embodiment before the individual modules are assembled
  • FIG. 2 shows a view in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 1
  • FIG. 3 shows a section along the line III-III in FIG. 2
  • FIG. 4 shows a longitudinal section through the second embodiment.
  • the valve according to Figures 1 to 3 has a central housing part 10 which is provided with an inlet opening 12 and an outlet opening 14 for the gas flowing through.
  • the housing part 10 has a transverse wall 16 and a longitudinal wall 18, in each of which a passage opening 20, 22 for the gas is formed on both sides of the transverse wall 16.
  • the housing part 10 has two installation openings 24 and 26, which are arranged coaxially to the through openings 20, 22.
  • the housing part 10 has an installation opening 28 which extends over both through openings 20, 22.
  • the passage opening 20 is monitored by a commercially available thermoelectric ignition safety valve 36, the magnet insert 38 of which is attached to a cover 40 which closes the inlet chamber 30.
  • the ignition safety valve 36 is also provided with a switch 42 and a switch 44, both of which are held and guided on a cover 46 which closes the installation opening 28.
  • the operation of the ignition safety valve 36 is known and is therefore not described in detail.
  • the passage opening 22 is monitored by a thermostatic control valve 48 which has a drive magnet 50 which acts on a closing member 54 in an abutting manner via a bolt 52.
  • the magnetic force is counteracted by a control spring 56 which is supported on a pressure piece 58 which is mounted on the cover 46 in an axially adjustable manner by means of an adjusting screw 60.
  • the housing part 10 described forms with the ignition safety valve 36 and the thermostatic control valve 48 a central function module, to which further function modules can be attached as required.
  • a pressure regulator 62 is attached to the central functional module, which has its own housing part 64, which is installed with the interposition of an O-ring 66 as a sealing element at the inlet opening 12 of the housing part 10.
  • the O-ring 66 comes to bear on both modules on an annular contact surface 68 which surrounds the opening edge 70 of the inlet opening 12 on the housing part 10 or the outlet opening 14 'of the pressure regulator 62.
  • the functional parts of the pressure regulator 62 are also constructed in a known manner and are therefore not described in detail.
  • a threaded connection piece 72 is formed on the housing part 64 of the pressure regulator 62 and surrounds an inlet opening 74 and a filter body 76 inserted therein.
  • the housing part 10 has a contact surface 78 for the housing part 64 which, viewed from the end, has approximately the shape of a rectangle, the width of which corresponds to the width of the housing part 10.
  • An equally large and identically shaped contact surface 79 is formed on the housing part 64 of the pressure regulator 62.
  • Fastening elements 89 'and 89 are provided for fastening the pressure regulator 62 to the housing part 10.
  • the housing part 10 is provided at two diametrically opposite corners outside the annular contact surface 68, each with a projection 80 (FIG. 3), which fits into a correspondingly arranged and designed recess 82 on the circumference of the contact surface 79 of the housing part 64.
  • the housing part 64 is provided with projections 80 'and the housing part 10 with matching recesses 82' at the two other, diametrically opposite corners of the contact surface 68.
  • Two grooved pins 84 are used to connect the housing parts 10 and 64, each of which extends over the entire height of the contact surfaces 78, 79 and therefore passes through a projection 80 and a projection 80 '.
  • This arrangement is made possible by the fact that the axes of the grooved pins 84 lie in the plane of the contact surfaces 78, 79 (parting line 81 indicated in FIG. 3) and the housing parts 10, 64 in the between the projections 80 and 80 'and the recesses 82'. or 82 lying areas are also provided with projections 86, 86 'and depressions 88, 88' which engage in a claw-like manner.
  • This configuration of the housing parts 10, 64 ensures that only two notch pins are required for fastening, that the two modules can be connected to one another in two positions offset by 180 °, and that the connecting means can also be used radially from the circumference of the housing parts .
  • a further function module, a connecting piece for a further line or a connecting piece for a burner can be connected to the outlet opening 14.
  • the control valve according to FIG. 4 has a main gas throttle 90, which is designed in the manner according to the invention already described and is attached to the inlet opening 12 of the housing part 10.
  • the main gas throttle 90 like the pressure regulator 62, is provided on the input side with a threaded connector for connecting a gas feed line.
  • the main gas throttle 90 could also be designed both at the inlet opening and at the outlet opening in the manner according to the invention, so that if the filter is designed as a module, it can also be attached to the fitting in a modular system.
  • the passage opening 20 in the housing part 10 is monitored by an actuating magnet 92 of an ignition safety device operating according to the ionization principle, which acts pulling on a closing element 93.
  • the actuating magnet 92 is provided with a sealing edge 93 which fits into the installation opening 24 and is fastened to the housing part 10 by indicated screws 94.
  • the second through opening 22 is monitored by a thermostatic control valve 48.
  • the intermediate chamber 32 of the housing part 10 is closed by a cover 94, which has the same shape as the cover 46, but the injection-molded guide bushes 96, 97 are not pierced because the mechanical controls are missing in this type of ignition protection.
  • an installation opening 24 of the housing part 10 is closed by a cover.
