Definitions
- the invention relates to a fire closure of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.
- a fire protection closure of the type in question in which the slide is made entirely of fire-resistant material.
- the slider is relatively thick, and the material of the slider is such that the edge lying in the front in the closing direction is difficult to adapt to the contours of the conveying means passing through the opening.
- this material can escape through the inevitable gaps.
- the material used for the slide is also brittle, so that there is a risk of damage to the front edge in the closing direction if the slide is closed frequently by bumping against the r stop edge.
- the invention has for its object to provide a fire protection closure of the type in question, which allows a good seal even with complicated shapes of the conveying means leading through the opening in the fire protection closure, for example conveying rails, to prevent the heat-foaming material from escaping, robust with frequent use Use and moreover easy and cheap in the construction is.
- the invention is based on the basic idea that the area of the slide located in the front in the closing direction should not be made of fire-resistant material up to the stop edge as before, but by spaced-apart metal sheets which in the event of fire already represent fire resistance for a short time. These sheets can be adapted in a simple and advantageous manner to complicated contours of the conveying means passing through the opening.
- the long-term sealing with regard to fire resistance takes place completely according to the basic idea of the invention by material which foams when heated and then forms a fire resistance. Although the space to be partitioned off from this material is relatively large, the metal sheets delimiting the foaming space ensure that the foam is trapped and cannot escape.
- the sheets according to the invention can be relatively thin, it is even possible, according to a further development of the invention, to interrupt the conveying means by means of a narrow gap which does not hinder the conveying operation, but which enables the sheets to enter. In this way, it is no longer necessary at all to align the front edges of the sheets with the contours of the conveying means, e.g. Conveyor rails, to adapt, e.g. Always have a straight front edge that seals the space between the sheets to a large extent and thus largely prevents the escape of material that foams up when heated.
- the conveying means e.g. Conveyor rails
- the development of the invention according to claim 5 provides additional material in the region of the stop edge of the opening in the housing for the slide, so that when material foams in heat fills the space between the sheets according to the invention from two sides.
- the fire protection closure shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 has a housing 1 which, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, is attached to a wall 2 in the region of a wall opening 3 in such a way that an opening 4 in the housing 1 aligned with the wall opening.
- a slide 5 which is guided in the housing 1.
- the slide 5 hangs with an iron plate 6 on a magnet 7.
- this connection is released, so that the slide 5 moves down and the opening 4 and thus also the wall opening 3 closes .
- a drive motor 8 is provided, which allows the slide 5 to be actuated via a linkage 9.
- FIG. 4 which shows an enlarged detail from the lower area of FIG. 2, there are 5 plates 12 and 13 on the outer surfaces of the slide, which cover the entire outer surfaces of the slide 5 and over a lower edge 14 protrude downwards and abut with a lower edge against a stop edge 15, so that in the closed state of the fire protection closure shown, a closed space is formed between the sheets 12 and 13 and the lower edge 14 of the slide 5 and the upper edge 15 of the housing 1.
- mass 16 is located directly below the lower edge 14 of the slide 5 made of a material that foams when hot.
- the amount of the masses 16 and 17 is such that in the event of a fire the entire interior between the sheets 12 and 13 is filled with foamed and fire-retardant mass.
- the housing 1 and the slide 5 are constructed from plates 18, 19 and 20 and 21 and 22, which are connected to one another by sheet metal profiles 23 and 24.
- Fig. 4 clearly shows that the conveyor rail 11 is interrupted by narrow slots 25 and 26 through which the sheets 12 and 13 extend.
- the conveyor rail 11 therefore does not impair the partitioning in the event of a fire and in particular does not affect the sealing of the interior between the sheets 12 and 13.
- the narrow slots 25 and 26 do not interfere with the function of the conveyor rail 11.
- FIG. 5 shows a modification of the detail according to FIG. 4, the section running perpendicular to the illustration in FIG. 4.
- Conveyor rails 27 and 28 run between the edges of the opening in the wall 2 and are connected to one another by a common part 29. On this part 29 there are a rack 30 and busbars 31. On the sides there are guide rails 32 and 33. In addition, conveyor rails 34 and 35 are provided.
- the partitioning plates 12 and 13 as in FIG. 4 cannot be seen in this illustration.
- the masses foaming in the heat are shown in the foamed state. It can be seen that additional masses 36 to 39 are provided in the lateral area between the conveyor rails 27 and 34 or 28 and 35, which ensure good filling of the partitioning space.
- the sheets 12 and 13 extend through slots in the conveyor rails 34 and 35, so that the entire space is sealed and no foaming material can escape.

Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Feuerabschluß der im Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 genannten Art.The invention relates to a fire closure of the type mentioned in the preamble of
From DE-GMS 83 13 824 a fire protection closure of the type in question is known, in which the slide is made entirely of fire-resistant material. The slider is relatively thick, and the material of the slider is such that the edge lying in the front in the closing direction is difficult to adapt to the contours of the conveying means passing through the opening. Although the use of material which foams up in the heat and closes inevitable gaps between slide and conveying means is already provided, this material can escape through the inevitable gaps. The material used for the slide is also brittle, so that there is a risk of damage to the front edge in the closing direction if the slide is closed frequently by bumping against the r stop edge.
The invention has for its object to provide a fire protection closure of the type in question, which allows a good seal even with complicated shapes of the conveying means leading through the opening in the fire protection closure, for example conveying rails, to prevent the heat-foaming material from escaping, robust with frequent use Use and moreover easy and cheap in the construction is.
The object on which the invention is based is achieved by the teaching specified in the characterizing part of
The invention is based on the basic idea that the area of the slide located in the front in the closing direction should not be made of fire-resistant material up to the stop edge as before, but by spaced-apart metal sheets which in the event of fire already represent fire resistance for a short time. These sheets can be adapted in a simple and advantageous manner to complicated contours of the conveying means passing through the opening. The long-term sealing with regard to fire resistance takes place completely according to the basic idea of the invention by material which foams when heated and then forms a fire resistance. Although the space to be partitioned off from this material is relatively large, the metal sheets delimiting the foaming space ensure that the foam is trapped and cannot escape.
Since the sheets according to the invention can be relatively thin, it is even possible, according to a further development of the invention, to interrupt the conveying means by means of a narrow gap which does not hinder the conveying operation, but which enables the sheets to enter.
The development of the invention according to

The fire protection closure shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 has a
In the

As can be seen from FIG. 4, which shows an enlarged detail from the lower area of FIG. 2, there are 5
