Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Feuerabschluss der im Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 genannten Art.The invention relates to a fire closure of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.

From DE-U-8 313 824 a fire protection closure of the type in question is known, in which the slide is made entirely of fire-resistant material. The slide is relatively thick, and the material of the slide is such that the edge lying in the front in the closing direction is difficult to adapt to the contours of the conveying means passing through the opening. Although the use of material which foams up in the heat and closes inevitable gaps between slide and conveying means is already provided, this material can escape through the inevitable gaps. The material used for the slide is also brittle, so that there is a risk of damage to the front edge in the closing direction if the slide is closed frequently by bumping against the stop edge.

From DE-A-2 808 439 a fire closure of the type in question is known, in which the plates consist of non-combustible material, for example asbestos. These plates, known as immersion plates, plunge into a double gap in a conveyor rail and deep into the slits underneath when the fire is closed in the event of a fire. A heat insulation effect is to be achieved by the spaced plates. The same purpose is served by deeply immersing the asbestos panels in slots below the conveyor rail. Fire resistance is not guaranteed in practice with this known construction, since the sealing of the asbestos plates at the edges is imperfect and fails completely if the slots into which the front edges of the asbestos plates are to be immersed are filled with dirt or objects, already partial filling leads to complete failure.

The invention has for its object to provide a fire closure of the type in question, which ensures a safe seal in the event of fire, even with complicated shapes of the funding leading through the opening in the fire protection closure, e.g. Conveyor rails that are robust with frequent use, functional even when dirty or impaired by small objects, and also simple and cheap in construction.

The object on which the invention is based is achieved by the teaching specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.

The invention is based on the basic idea of not forming the area of the slide in the closing direction at the front as far as possible up to the stop edge from fire-resistant material, but rather by means of spaced-apart metal sheets which in the event of fire already provide fire resistance for a short time. These sheets can be adapted in a simple and advantageous manner to complicated contours of the conveying means passing through the opening. The long-term sealing with regard to fire resistance takes place completely according to the basic idea of the invention by material which foams when heated and then forms a fire resistance. The space to be partitioned off from this material is relatively large, but the sheets delimiting the foaming space ensure that the foam is trapped and cannot escape. The use of sheet metal instead of sheets of heat-insulating material has the further advantage that, due to the good heat conduction, the material behind the sheet, which foams up when heated, is heated early and thus caused to foam. As a result, every leak in the edge areas of the metal sheets or slide is sealed at an early stage. A later melting away of the sheet facing the source of the fire would not be a disadvantage, because in the meantime the foamed, heat-resistant material ensures the tight seal.

Since the sheets according to the invention can be relatively thin, it is even possible, according to a further development of the invention, to interrupt the conveying means by means of a narrow gap which does not prevent the conveying operation, but which enables the sheets to enter. In this way, it is no longer necessary at all to align the front edges of the sheets with the contours of the conveying means, e.g. Conveyor rails, to adapt, e.g. Always have a straight front edge that seals the space between the sheets to a large extent and thus largely prevents the escape of material that foams when heated.

The development of the invention according to claim 5 provides additional material in the region of the stop edge of the opening in the housing for the slide, so that material that foams up when hot fills the space between the sheets according to the invention from two sides.

  • Fig. 2 in einem Vertikalschnitt und
  • Fig. 3 in einem Horizontalschnitt,

The invention will be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing.
  • 1 shows an embodiment of a fire protection closure according to the invention in a side view,
  • Fig. 2 in a vertical section and
  • 3 in a horizontal section,
  • FIG. 4 shows an enlarged view of the lower area of FIG. 2 in the area of the stop edge and
  • FIG. 5 shows a modification of the area according to FIG. 4 in a section perpendicular to FIG. 4.

The fire protection closure shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 has a housing 1, which, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, is attached to a wall 2 in the region of a wall opening 2 such that an opening 4 in the housing 1 aligned with the wall opening.

In the housing 1 there is a slide 5 which is guided in the housing 1. In the open state, which is not shown in the drawing, the slide 5 hangs on an magnet 7 with an iron plate 6. In the event of a fire, this connection is released, so that the slide 5 moves down and the opening 4 and thus also the wall opening 3 closes. For general actuation of the slider 5, a drive motor 8 is provided, which a linkage 9 allows actuation of the slide 5.

Through the wall opening 3 and the opening 4, conveyor rails 10 and 11 of the conveyor system.

As can be seen from FIG. 4, which shows an enlarged detail from the lower area of FIG. 2, there are plates 12 and 13 on the outer surfaces of the slide 5, which cover the entire outer surfaces of the slide 5 and over a lower edge 14 protrude downwards and abut with a lower edge against a stop edge 15, so that in the closed state of the fire protection closure shown, a closed space is formed between the sheets 12 and 13 and the lower edge 14 of the slide 5 and the upper edge 1 of the housing 1. In this room there is mass 16 made of a material which foams up when it is hot, just below the lower edge 14 of the slide 5. In addition, there is correspondingly foaming mass 17 in the heat on the stop edge 15 in the area between the sheets 12 and 13.

The amount of the masses 16 and 17 is dimensioned such that in the event of a fire the entire interior between the sheets 12 and 13 is filled with foamed and fire-retardant mass.

The housing 1 and the slide 5 are constructed from plates 18, 19 and 20 and 21 and 22, which are connected to one another by sheet metal profiles 23 and 24.

Andererseits stören die schmalen Schlitze 25 und 26 nicht die Funktion der Förderschiene 11.FIG. 4 clearly shows that the conveyor rail 11 is interrupted by narrow slots 25 and 26 through which the sheets 12 and 13 extend. The conveyor rail 11 therefore does not impair the partitioning in the event of a fire and in particular does not affect the sealing of the interior between the sheets 12 and 13. On the other hand, the narrow slots 25 and 26 do not interfere with the function of the conveyor rail 11.

Die abschottenden Bleche 12 und 13 wie in Fig. 4 sind in dieser Darstellung nicht zu erkennen.FIG. 5 shows a modification of the detail according to FIG. 4, the section running perpendicular to the illustration in FIG. 4. Corresponding parts are provided with the same reference symbols. Conveyor rails 27 and 28 run between the edges of the opening in the wall 2 and are connected to one another by a common part 29. On this part 29 there are a rack 30 and busbars 31. On the sides there are guide rails 32 and 33. In addition, conveyor rails 34 and 35 are provided. The partitioning plates 12 and 13 as in FIG. 4 cannot be seen in this illustration.

The masses foaming in the heat are shown in the foamed state. It can be seen that additional masses 36 to 39 are provided in the lateral area between the conveyor rails 27 and 34 or 28 and 35, which ensure good filling of the partitioning space. The sheets 12 and 13 extend through slots in the conveyor rails 34 and 35, so that the entire space is sealed and no foaming material can escape.
