Description

The invention relates to a variable-length chain element, in particular for jewelry chains.

Length-variable chain elements for jewelry chains have been known for a long time. They are used to extend the jewelry chains for stripping over the hand for chain bracelets, or over the head for necklaces. This is usually done by using longitudinally elastic chain elements, which extend under the action of a force acting in the longitudinal direction of the chain and return to their original length as soon as the force effect ceases. Such an embodiment is e.g. B. from DE-PS 262 710 known. However, this design has disadvantages. For example, stripping, especially with necklaces, is tedious, since the chain must be stretched with both hands, losing its round shape, which makes stripping easier, and must also be moved over the head. In addition, such chains always have only a certain chain length which is predetermined during production and which can generally only be changed by a person skilled in the art.

This jewelry chain includes sleeves in which spiral springs are enclosed. If a tensile force is applied to these chain elements, the chain becomes longer, but this change in length is reduced due to the elastic restoring forces of the coil springs as soon as the tensile force no longer acts.

Die federnden Spangen werden dazu verwendet, das Zurückgehen der Glieder in ihre Ruhelage zu ermöglichen.DE-C 169 203 shows a pullable chain for pulling bracelets and the like, in which resilient clasps and non-resilient intermediate links are used. The clips have arms, the ends of which are bent inwards and which are guided between pins which are seated on the non-elastic intermediate members. The spring clips are used to allow the limbs to return to their rest position.

Dadurch wird die Kette zum Armband versteift und die Kettenelemente « verschwinden in den Schubhülsen.DE-C 634 635 shows a necklace that can be shortened into a bracelet. Push sleeves are provided for this purpose, into which the chain links can be inserted. This stiffens the chain into a bracelet and the chain elements «disappear into the push sleeves.

The present invention has for its object to provide a variable-length chain element of the type mentioned, which allows a change in length of the jewelry chain, so that the chain can be worn on the one hand with different lengths and on the other hand the stripping is facilitated.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the subject matter of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

Compared to the known variable-length chain elements, the solution according to the invention offers a number of advantages. Depending on the embodiment, the length of the chain can be changed continuously or discontinuously without elastic restoring forces occurring. This makes stripping the chain easier, on the other hand, it is possible to change the chain length to z. B. to adapt to the respective clothing or certain fashion needs. Furthermore, it is possible to technically design the variable-length chain element so that it can be integrated as an aesthetically designing element in a jewelry chain.

Darin zeigen :

  • Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt des Ausführungsbeispiels gemäß Fig. 1,
  • Fig. 3 die Unterseite des längenveränderlichen Kettenelements,
  • Fig. 4 eine Ausführungsform mit teilbarem Kettenelement,
  • Fig. 5 Querschnitt zum Ausführungsbeispiel gemäß Fig. 4,
  • Fig. 7 Querschnitt zum Ausführungsbeispiel gemäß Fig. 6.
The invention is described below using exemplary embodiments in conjunction with the drawing. In it show:
  • 1 is a perspective view of a first embodiment,
  • 2 shows a cross section of the embodiment according to FIG. 1,
  • 3 shows the underside of the variable-length chain element,
  • 4 shows an embodiment with a divisible chain element,
  • 5 cross section of the embodiment of FIG. 4,
  • 6 is a perspective view of a variable-length chain element with stepless, frictional change in length,
  • 7 cross section to the embodiment of FIG. 6th

A first embodiment of the invention is shown in FIG. 1. The lateral depressions 3 of the first chain link 1 are designed as a slot, as can be seen in FIG. 2. The second chain link 2, which is bent in a U-shape in this case, is guided in these lateral depressions. The holes 4 and 5 serve to connect the chain links to the rest of the chain. In the end position, ie with the greatest possible extension, the elements are held by the web 6 arranged transversely to the chain element. This web has a circular cross section and is firmly enclosed on one side 6 ', on the other side 6 "it is guided into a sliding fit so that the elastic spreading of the second chain element is facilitated. In order to keep the element in the closed position, a projection 7 is arranged on one side of the chain element (see FIG. 3), over which the chain link 2 is pushed with elastic spreading, until the chain link 2 engages with the recess 8 on the projection 7 and is thereby held in place Such projections make it possible to snap the chain element into different positions, a further exemplary embodiment is shown in Fig. 4. The first chain link 10, as shown in Fig. 5, is designed with a closed cross-section previous embodiment, U-för mig designed, with the opening pointing towards the first chain link. This makes it possible to split the chain element to open the chain. To hold the element in the closed position, one or more projections are provided on one of the chain links, which cooperate with corresponding depressions on the other chain link.

Another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. Here, both chain links 20, 21, which form the variable-length chain element, are U-shaped and each provided with a transversely arranged Stef 23, 24, which the chain element with the greatest possible extension to back up. In all other positions, unintentional displacement of the chain links against one another is prevented by friction. As a result, the element can be held in any number of intermediate positions between the fully open and the fully closed position. A recess 22 can be provided in the two chain links 20, 21 in order to connect the chain link to further chain links, the material cross section of which is greater than the distance between the legs of the chain link 20, 21.

The length-adjustable chain element can, if used within a jewelry chain, be made from all materials common in the jewelry field. These include e.g. B. stainless steel and materials containing silver, gold, platinum and titanium. Furthermore, it is also possible to manufacture the variable-length chain element from two different materials.

The technical design of the variable-length chain element allows the element to be advantageously adapted to the aesthetic requirements of jewelry production. It is therefore possible to make a jewelry chain from several of these variable-length chain elements. Different of the above-mentioned embodiments can also be combined with one another within a chain.
