Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a variable-length chain element, in particular for jewelry chains.
Length-variable chain elements for jewelry chains have been known for a long time. They are used to extend the jewelry chains for stripping over the hand for chain bracelets, or over the head for necklaces. This is usually done by using longitudinally elastic chain elements, which extend under the action of a force acting in the longitudinal direction of the chain and return to their original length as soon as the force effect ceases. Such an embodiment is e.g. B. from DE-PS 262 710 known. However, this design has disadvantages. For example, stripping, especially with necklaces, is tedious, since the chain must be stretched with both hands, losing its round shape, which makes stripping easier, and must also be moved over the head. In addition, such chains always have only a certain chain length which is predetermined during production and which can generally only be changed by a person skilled in the art.
This jewelry chain includes sleeves in which spiral springs are enclosed. If a tensile force is applied to these chain elements, the chain becomes longer, but this change in length is reduced due to the elastic restoring forces of the coil springs as soon as the tensile force no longer acts.
Die federnden Spangen werden dazu verwendet, das Zurückgehen der Glieder in ihre Ruhelage zu ermöglichen.DE-C 169 203 shows a pullable chain for pulling bracelets and the like, in which resilient clasps and non-resilient intermediate links are used. The clips have arms, the ends of which are bent inwards and which are guided between pins which are seated on the non-elastic intermediate members. The spring clips are used to allow the limbs to return to their rest position.
Dadurch wird die Kette zum Armband versteift und die Kettenelemente « verschwinden in den Schubhülsen.DE-C 634 635 shows a necklace that can be shortened into a bracelet. Push sleeves are provided for this purpose, into which the chain links can be inserted. This stiffens the chain into a bracelet and the chain elements «disappear into the push sleeves.
The present invention has for its object to provide a variable-length chain element of the type mentioned, which allows a change in length of the jewelry chain, so that the chain can be worn on the one hand with different lengths and on the other hand the stripping is facilitated.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the subject matter of
Compared to the known variable-length chain elements, the solution according to the invention offers a number of advantages. Depending on the embodiment, the length of the chain can be changed continuously or discontinuously without elastic restoring forces occurring. This makes stripping the chain easier, on the other hand, it is possible to change the chain length to z. B. to adapt to the respective clothing or certain fashion needs. Furthermore, it is possible to technically design the variable-length chain element so that it can be integrated as an aesthetically designing element in a jewelry chain.

A first embodiment of the invention is shown in FIG. 1. The
Another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. Here, both
The length-adjustable chain element can, if used within a jewelry chain, be made from all materials common in the jewelry field. These include e.g. B. stainless steel and materials containing silver, gold, platinum and titanium. Furthermore, it is also possible to manufacture the variable-length chain element from two different materials.
The technical design of the variable-length chain element allows the element to be advantageously adapted to the aesthetic requirements of jewelry production. It is therefore possible to make a jewelry chain from several of these variable-length chain elements. Different of the above-mentioned embodiments can also be combined with one another within a chain.
