Claims (6)

1. Sleeve for the pins of fittings of doors, windows and the like with an outer sleeve (3) for insertion in one fitting portion (2), having an inner bore (19) which is eccentric with respect to the axis (7) of its cylindrical periphery, with an inner sleeve (11) arranged within it, again having an inner bore (12) which is eccentric with respect to the axis (8) of its cylindrical outer periphery which fits in the inner bore of the outer sleeve, the inner bore (12) being designed to receive the pin (10) of the fitting connected to the other fitting portion (1), and with projections and recesses (15, 26) provided at those ends of the sleeves (3, 11) which face away from the other fitting portion (1), the sleeves being capable of being secured in different relative angular positions by virtue of these projections and recesses, characterised in that a locking member (20) is provided at the ends of the sleeves (3, 11) and in its operative position secures the interengaging sleeves (3, 11) against rotation relative to one another, in a locking position using the projections and recesses (15, 26), and releases them in an unlocking position reached by axial displacement.
2. Fitting pin sleeve according to claim 1, characterised in that a spring arrangement (24) is provided, by means of which the locking member (20) is continually urged into its locking position.
3. Fitting pin sleeve according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the locking member (20) is arranged substantially in a space (21) defined between the bases (14, 19) of the sleeves (11, 3).
4. Fitting pin sleeve according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised by the following features:
a) the locking member (20) comprises substantially a disc (22) fitting in the outer sleeve (3);
b) the disc (22) has on its axially innermost face one or more axial projections (23) or recesses which co-operate in an inter-engaging manner with one or more corresponding recesses (15) or projections in the base (14) of the inner sleeve (11) and by means of which the locking member (20) and the inner sleeve (11) are connected together to prevent rotation but allowing axial displacement;
c) the disc (22) has on its axially outermost face at the periphery circumferentially distributed axial projections (27) or recesses which interengage with corresponding recesses (26) or projections on the periphery of the axially inward face of the base (19) of the outer sleeve (3), so that the locking member (20) and the outer sleeve (3) are connected together against rotation and can be separated from one another by axial displacement of the locking member (20) so that the locking member (20) and the outer sleeve (3) can be turned relative to one another.
5. Fitting pin sleeve according to claim 4, characterised in that the disc (22) has on its axially outwardly directed face projections or recesses (30,31) for engagement by a rotating tool and the base (19) of the outer sleeve (3) has an appropriate access opening (29) in this region.
6. Fitting pin sleeve according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the spring arrangement includes a helical coil compression spring (24) which is arranged between the axially inward face of the disc (22) and the axially outward face of the base (14) of the inner sleeve (11).
