Description

The invention relates to an antenna for caravans, boats or similar covered vehicles or rooms according to the preamble of claim 1.

Antennas of this type have become known, for example, as “caravan antennas, but are also intended and used, for example, for motor homes, buses, trucks, boats or similar covered land or water vehicles. The antenna mast is generally arranged such that it can be adjusted in height from the interior of the caravan between a so-called retracted transport position and an extended operating position, as is known, for example, from DE-U-8 300 035. In the transport position, the antenna attached to the upper end of the antenna mast is retracted substantially up to just above the caravan roof, whereas in the so-called operating position, the antenna is extended high above the caravan roof to achieve optimal television or radio reception.

Such an antenna arrangement has become known, for example, from the brochure from Kathrein, “Caravan-Antenne •, HD 35,” and consists of a dipole antenna arranged horizontally and transversely to the antenna mast and a logarithmic-periodic antenna that can be aligned in the receiving direction and that is in a protective plastic housing is housed. Antenna devices of this type, in particular with the plastic protective housing, have hitherto proven themselves very well in practice, since this largely prevents the logarithmic-periodic antenna, which is very sensitive to weather influences, that is to say climatic influences and mechanical stresses. The use of such a protective housing does not form part of the present invention.

For fastening to the antenna mast, the holding device comprises an anchoring part which is connected to the antenna and on which a clamp encompassing the antenna mast is tightened by means of wing screws.

- In other words, the above-described holding device for the caravan antenna with the openly accessible wing screws can also be removed at any time. It has been shown in the past that these antennas are increasingly being quickly and easily dismantled and stolen, especially at campsites at night or after leaving the caravan. An anti-theft device has therefore already been proposed in US-A-4137 521, which automatically triggers an alarm provided via an electrical contact device when the antenna is mounted. -

Object of the present invention is based on the above-mentioned prior art to provide a simple and extremely secure holding device for an antenna attached to an extendable antenna mast for caravans, boats or similar covered vehicles or rooms, so that the antenna in the unguarded state against theft is secured. The object is achieved according to the invention in accordance with the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The inventive design of the holding device for the first time creates an theft-proof attachment of an antenna to an extendable antenna mast in an amazingly simple manner. This is essentially achieved according to the invention in that the antenna is only attached via a vertically oriented screw attachment, the actuator of which is only accessible from below. If the antenna is then lowered into the transport position, it is impossible for unauthorized persons to remove it from the antenna mast again, because in the lowered transport position, for example, a screwdriver cannot be used to loosen the vertical screws due to the lack of space between the roof and the antenna.

In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention according to claim 2, the holding device consists of an annular support as an anchoring part and a fitting member or tensioning element interacting therewith, the pressure and contact surface formed between the annular support and the tensioning element tapering obliquely in vertical section onto the antenna mast, that the clamping element is kept biased by the vertical fastening device on the antenna mast. In the simplest design, this enables the antenna to be securely fastened in a force-locking manner to the antenna mast.

A clamping device for attaching support arms, flanges and traverses or the like to rods has become known, for example from DD-A-75 675, in which a prismatic and / or ring-shaped body is provided, the pressure surface of which is inclined to a radial one To achieve contact pressure when tightening a screw. Also known from the European patent application EP-A-0010559 pipe and cable clamp consists of an elastic flange ring with angled active surfaces and. a screw which can be inserted and screwed tightly over the oblique effective surfaces, whereby the clamping ring is tightened to a smaller diameter on the inside as the screw is tightened increasingly. Although prismatic or oblique active surfaces of this type are known per se, there is no reference from the two aforementioned documents to an anti-theft device for an antenna, for example from caravans.

In a further development of the invention according to claim 3 it is further provided that the annular carrier is formed with a radial projection for receiving the tensioning element, wherein according to claim 4 has proven to be favorable, the inclined towards the antenna mast pressure and contact surface on the radial Approach to be provided at the bottom.

Likewise, the radial extension of the ring-shaped carrier can be provided with two vertical side walls, between which the fitting part or tensioning element lying against the antenna mast is arranged, the pressure and contact surfaces generating the radial contact force being formed on the inner side walls of the extension.

The frictional attachment of the antenna is further improved in a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention according to claim 8 in that the protective housing, preferably made of plastic, encloses the neck of the ring-shaped carrier and furthermore in the extension of the vertical screw fastening in the lower part of the protective housing, a corresponding insertion opening for the screw fastening is provided. This measure means that the screw fastening, for example in the form of a screw, is not visually shielded in such a way that unauthorized removal of the antenna is impossible in the retracted position of the antenna mast.

An increased security against unauthorized removal of the antenna is especially ensured according to claim 9 that interlocking recesses and radial projections are provided on the contact surface between the clamping element and the antenna mast, so that when tightening a screw as a fastening device, the projections in the engage corresponding depressions, so that the ring-shaped carrier and the tensioning element are also non-detachably attached to the antenna mast. The arrangement known from GB-A-1 067 091 relates only to a pipe connection construction in which an angled screw of a vertical support can be hooked or inserted and firmly tightened into a vertical support via a jacket opening.

Claims 10 to 12 relate to a particularly simple and therefore advantageous further development of the anti-theft antenna fastening device, which can be manufactured in a simple manner by stamping and embossing sheet metal parts.

An alternative to the inclined contact and pressure surface configuration of a clamping element is given in claims 13 and 14. The tensioning element in this embodiment consists of rubber or a rubber-like material and is held by the vertical tensioning device with cross-sectional widening in the radial direction too biased to the antenna mast. In this way, too, the vertically introduced contact forces are deflected in the horizontal direction by the tensioning element, whereby a secure non-positive connection and attachment to the antenna mast can thereby be achieved.

Diese grundsätzlich bekannte Einrichtung für eine bewußt lösbare Kupplung betrifft aber gegenüber der vorliegenden Diebstahlsicherung ein völlig anderes Einsatzgebiet.DE-C 941 577 discloses a coupling for releasably connecting parts, in which radial forces for holding the rod can be generated at the connection point by axially pressing a rubber ring between a cup and a rod. This fundamentally known device for a deliberately releasable clutch, however, relates to a completely different area of application compared to the present anti-theft device.

Further embodiments of the invention that reflect the security of the entire arrangement are given in claims 15 to 18.

In the perspective view shown schematically in FIG. 1, an antenna 1 is shown, in particular for use on a caravan, which consists of a dipole antenna 3 arranged transversely to the mast and a plastic protective housing 5 oriented in the receiving direction, in which a logarithmic-periodic antenna is exposed to weather influences and mechanical stresses is installed.

The antenna 1 is fastened via anchoring part 7 firmly connected to it at the upper end of an antenna mast 9 which is adjustable in height. The antenna mast is, for example, height-adjustable from the inside of a caravan and can be lowered from an extended operating position into a retracted transport position. In the so-called transport position, the antenna 1 is located immediately above the roof of a caravan, a bottom, etc., which is not shown in detail.

In the following, reference is made to FIG. 2, in which the holding device of the antenna 1 on the mast 9 is shown schematically in a partial vertical section.

As can be seen from FIG. 2, the holding device comprises a cap-shaped support 11, which is firmly connected to the antenna 1, as an anchoring part 7 and which, with its open end face downward, points onto the upper end of the antenna dimension stes 9 is attached. For this purpose, the cap-shaped carrier 11 is provided with an inner circumferential shoulder 13, which comes to rest on the upper circumferential edge 15 of the antenna mast 9.

Furthermore, the top view of the cap-shaped support 11 is provided in a partial circumferential area with a radial projection 17, the downward-facing end face of which is designed as a pressure and contact surface 19 that runs obliquely on the antenna mast 9 in vertical section. Between this pressure and contact surface 19 and a partial peripheral edge 21 of the antenna mast 9 is a fitting member or clamping element 23 with a substantially vertical section wedge-shaped cross section is arranged, which has a vertical screw 25 in a vertical bore 27 in the clamping element 23 and one above it Extension introduced blind bore 29 is firmly connected to the front shoulder 17 of the carrier 11. Furthermore, an insertion opening 31 is provided in the lower wall of the plastic protective housing 5 in the direct vertical extension below the fastening device in the form of a screw 25.

For the theft-proof fastening of the antenna 1, only the cap-shaped support 11 has to be placed on the upper end of the antenna mast 9 with the screw 25 not firmly attached up to the stop on the inner shoulder 13. The screw 25 is then tightened via the insertion opening 31 by means of a screwdriver.

Due to the pressure and contact surface 19 which is inclined at 45 ° to the antenna mast in the exemplary embodiment shown and is in the form of an undercut edge, the clamping element 23 is pressed not only in the vertical direction onto the radial extension 17, but also in the form of a wedge in the radial direction onto the antenna mast 9 , so that a firm and secure non-positive fit of the carrier 11 on the antenna mast 9 is achieved. In other words, the inclined pressure and contact surface 19 deflects the vertical forces introduced via the screw 25 by 90 ° in the radial direction onto the antenna mast 9.

Since, in the exemplary embodiment shown, the radial extension 17 is also surrounded by the plastic protective housing 5, it is completely ensured that the antenna 1 cannot be removed in the so-called transport position by unauthorized persons, since in this so-called transport position the antenna is, for example, on a Caravan is lowered to just above the roof, so that there is no room for loosening the screw 25. When leaving the caravan or at night, the anti-theft device can be secured simply by lowering the antenna 1 into the transport position.

As can also be seen from FIG. 1, the bore 27 in the tensioning element 23 can have a larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the screw 25 passing through it, so that when tightening the tensioning element 23 can execute a certain radial movement in the direction of the antenna mast 9 without hindrance. A radial elongated hole is also possible. As a result, the radial contact forces on the antenna mast 9 can become even more effective.

In order to produce a positive connection that further increases security, depressions or recesses 35 or projections 37 can be provided on the inner surface 33 of the tensioning element 23 and / or on the associated partial circumferential region 21 of the antenna mast, which alternately interlock. When the screws 25 are tightened, the tensioning element 23 is then pretensioned in a wedge shape onto the antenna mast 9, the respective projections 37 then penetrating into the associated recesses 35 and thereby contributing not only to the production of a positive, but also a form-fitting fastening.

Nachfolgend wird auf Figur 3 und 4 Bezug genommen, in der ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel gezeigt ist, wobei gleiche Teile mit gleichen Bezugsziffern versehen sind, wie in Figur 1 und 2.Reference is made below to FIGS. 3 and 4, in which a further exemplary embodiment is shown, the same parts being provided with the same reference numbers as in FIGS. 1 and 2.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, the radial extension 17 of the carrier 11 is open at its end facing the protective housing 5. The pressure and contact surface 19 on the radial shoulder 17 of the carrier 11 is introduced in the form of grooves 45 on the inner sides 41 of the vertical side walls 43 of the radial shoulder 17 in the form of grooves obliquely on the antenna mast 9. The tensioning element 23 arranged between the vertical side walls 43 has, for example, corresponding springs 49 on its two opposite side walls 47, which engage in the grooves 45 with the same inclination. In this embodiment, for bracing the support 11 at the upper end of the antenna mast 9, the screw 25, which is supported at its upper screw end 51 on the upper cover wall 13 of the radial extension 17, must be rotated counterclockwise, so that the tensioning element 23 is longitudinal the inclined pressure and contact surface 19 is inclined downward and clamped onto the antenna mast 9.

In a departure from the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the pressure and contact surface 19 can of course not be designed in the form of interlocking tongues and grooves, but in the form of shoulders and stops projecting obliquely on the antenna mast, or in the form of a continuous inclined surface , on which the clamping element 23 with a wedge-shaped vertical cross section is then held too pre-tensioned on the antenna mast 9.

As can also be seen from FIG. 4, the tensioning element 23 has a concave inner surface 33, similar to the first exemplary embodiment, in horizontal section, with which it lies fully against the partial circumferential region 21 of the antenna mast 9.

To theft protection also with regard to increase the breaking of the antenna, the carrier 11 is designed as a die-cast part that withstands high bending moments.

Finally, it should also be noted that the fastening device according to the invention can also be made possible with a support 11 which is only annular and is attached below the upper end of the antenna mast 9.

Also in the not shown in the drawings, the case that the existing plastic protective housing 5 the radial approach is not entirely surrounds 17, may further be provided to increase the anti-theft device, that the operating means of the screw fastening 25 that is, in the present `case, the screw head 55 is sunk in a recess on the clamping element 23.

In the exemplary embodiments shown, the pressure and contact surface 19 is designed to be inclined approximately at an angle of 45 ° to the antenna mast. In principle, however, this angle can be varied as long as only sufficient radial contact forces can be achieved on the antenna mast 9.

In the following, FIGS. 5 and 6 will also be discussed, in which a further exemplary embodiment is shown modified from FIG. 2.

In this embodiment, the carrier 11 consists of two ring elements 57 arranged one above the other, which are provided with two flanges 59. A lip 61 is punched out in the lower flange 59 and bent toward the upper flange 59 until the lip end rests on the upper flange 59. This creates a lower receiving opening 63 through which the clamping element 23 with its inclined contact and pressure surface 19 comes to rest against the correspondingly inclined lip 61. By tightening the screw fastening 25, the clamping element 23 is then biased against the antenna mast 9 in the radial direction, 59 spacing elements 65 being provided for the corresponding alignment and counter-support on the two ring elements or their flanges, which in this case consist of two directed towards one another and through There are bends on the two flanges 59 that support one another at the end. As is not shown in more detail, the protective housing 5 can be attached to the flanges themselves and, for example, also cover and shield the top of the antenna mast as well as the ring elements 57. In this case too, an opening 31 for actuating the screw head 55 is provided in the lower part of the protective housing 5.

Reference is made below to FIG. 7, whose alternative embodiment for the tensioning element 23a is shown with an elastic friction member 66 made of rubber or similar elastomeric material. The fastening device further comprises a pressure plate 67, by means of which the clamping element 23a can be prestressed vertically into a recess 69 provided in the radial projection 17 by means of the screw fastening 25. To the extent that the tensioning element 23 is prestressed in the vertical direction, this is prestressed with an enlarged cross-section in the horizontal radial direction on the antenna mast 9, so that an adequate force-fitting fit of the antenna on the antenna mast can also be achieved. With this arrangement, too, the contact forces introduced vertically via the fastening device 25 are deflected in the horizontal direction onto the antenna mast.

Just for the sake of completeness, it should also be noted that both in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 7 and in principle also in the exemplary embodiments explained above, the ring-shaped or cap-shaped carrier 11 and the protective housing 5 can be formed as a common plastic casting, for example made of thermosets, or also can consist of glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic materials. This further improves the overall stability and security of the arrangement. It may prove to be advantageous that the undercover 5a of the protective housing 5 can be designed in the form of a second half-shell along a continuous dividing line, so that the undercover 5a also has a ring extension encompassing the antenna mast. The substructure is attached to the common support and upper part of the protective housing and to the antenna located in the protective housing in a conventional manner known in principle.
