- the seal comprises two portions axially separated by a cylindrical part, a first of these two portions being in contact with the moving part and cooperating with the latter to move the seal from a first position towards a second position when the moving part is moved from the closed position to the filling position, the second portion of the seal being arranged so as to close the exhaust passage when the seal is in said first position and to be clamped between the cylindrical connector and the walls of the axial chamber of the fixed part in a position remote from the exhaust passage, when the seal is brought axially towards said second position.

- the interior of the container 5 communicates with this housing 20 by an exhaust passage 21 constituted by a bore 22, a cylindrical space 23 included between the two fixed parts 1, 2 and by openings 24 leading to the housing 20.
- the portion 17 completely closes the openings 24 of the exhaust passage, when the valve is closed.
- This exhaust passage is entirely separate from the filling passage 25 for the liquefied gas constituted by openings 26 provided in the bottom 12, the axial chamber 27 and the longitudinal grooves 28 formed in the upper part 29 of the moving part 9 (fig. 2). These grooves 28 do not extend to the shoulder 11 to allow the filling passage 25 to be closed off by the first portion 16 of the seal when the valve is closed.
- Part 2 of the fixed part comprises, at the level of the housing 20, a ramp 32 against which the portion 17 of the seal is supported. This ramp 32 is arranged so as to bring the portion 17 to a radially more internal position of the valve to come into contact with the cylindrical wall 33 of the connector 30, when the seal 15, in contact with the projection 31, is moved towards the bottom by the moving part 9 (see fig. 2).
- the portion 17 of the seal 9 is entirely enclosed between the connector 30 and the part 2 of the fixed part to ensure complete sealing of the filling passage 25 to the outside.
- the moving part 9 is stopped in its course by a washer 34 abutting against the upper part of the fixed tubular portion 8, while the seal 15 bears by its portion 16 against a shoulder 38 of the chamber 27. Additional pressure on the refill tank opens the latter's retaining valve against the action of a spring, not shown. It is important that the spring 10 is chosen so that its force is weaker than that of the springs used in the valves of the refill tanks sold.
- the projection 31 then drives the seal 9 through the portion 16 downwards. There is opening of the exhaust passage 21.
- the filling passage 25 is completely closed towards the outside.
- the washer 34 abuts against the tubular portion 8. An additional pressure on the refill tank allows the opening of the tank retaining valve and the flow of the liquefied gas through the filling passage in the container 5.
- the moving part 9 urged by the spring 10 rises.
- the intake passage is closed and the seal 15 is brought by the movable part 9 upwards.
- the portion 17 enters the housing 20 and closes the openings 24 of the exhaust passage which in turn is then closed.
- the seal 15 is then clamped by the spring 10 between the upper wall of the chamber 20 and the shoulder 11. It thus ensures a tight closure of the container 5 and constitutes a stop for retaining the part 9 in a position such that its upper face or substantially in the plane of the outer face of the valve body.
