- the invention relates to the formation of pressure cans which, in addition to the liquid substances of the main component which are required for the production and application of the polyurethane foam, also accommodate an additional container connected to the container formed by the pressure can and in which the further components are contained.
- the substances contained in the pressure vessel are usually liquid and usually consist of a prepolymer, optionally a foamer and the liquid compressed gas that is used to discharge the foam.
- the other components are present in a relatively small amount and mostly consist of a hydroxy compound with hydroxyl groups, which accelerate the curing of the foam, so that it only needs to take a fraction of the moisture required for curing from the outside air.
- the other components are introduced into the container shortly before the foam is released after the additional container has been opened by detaching the lid by shaking its contents into the pressure container.
- the components which are shaken in bring about a chemical reaction, preferably a polyurethane reaction, which gives rise to a rapidly curing foam when it emerges from the can.

- the rod which in turn is guided outwards and sealed by a piston-shaped seal in the interior of the additional container, is designed as a shaft which rotates in the additional container neck and is supported on the inside thereof. If the shaft is driven from the outside, this leads to the positive engagement of its inner end with the additional container lid, which is blasted off against the internal pressure in the can.
- the invention has for its object to easily design a container of the known type so that the parts are easier to assemble into a captive unit, but can be operated with sufficient force to be used by the user to detach the additional container lid.
- a plate inserted in a recess in the container bottom and fastened by its flanged edge holds a sleeve which is penetrated by the rod designed as an axially movable plunger and which represents the seal and, with the plunger inserted, with its outer and Seals the inner edge of each on a radial collar of the plunger and yields resiliently when the plunger moves axially.
- Flanging the rim of the plate is simple and leads to a sufficient sealing of the plate in the floor, in particular a pressure can, which means that the additional container is assembled with little effort and the aerosol container is reliably sealed to the outside.
- the tappet design of the rod considerably reduces the sealing problem of the additional container, the internal pressure being applied and maintained via the dome to the tappet and from there via the inner tappet collar to the sleeve edge and the container.
- the resilient sleeve is deformed with the outer collar of the ram without losing its tightness, which is brought about by the pressure exerted by the outer edge of the sleeve.
- the forces to be applied here are practically arbitrary, because the container is placed on a solid base, e.g. B. table top can be pressed.
- the invention has the advantage that it realizes the simple assembly method of a flanging based and enabled. This reduces the effort for assembly, enables simple design of the parts described, which nevertheless function absolutely reliably.
- the actual pressure vessel consists of a cylindrical tube 1, which is closed at one end with a dome 2. This has a flanged edge 3, which holds the dome 2 on the relevant end of the container 1 and at the same time brings about a tight connection of the parts.
- the dome 2 is made from a round plate, a molded part cut out of sheet metal, which has been given the arched shape shown in the drawing by shaping. As shown at 4, the inner edge of the dome 2 is flanged and receives a valve disk 6 with a poppet valve 5. The valve plate 6 is in turn crimped with its edge 7 around the edge 4 of the dome 2 and thereby sealed against it.
- a rubber stopper 8 which in turn is supported with a flange-shaped widening 9 on the underside 10 of the valve plate 6 and is penetrated by a hollow valve rod 12.
- This rod has an outer collar 13, which is supported on the outer edge 14 of the plug 8.
- a plate 15 closes off the tubular section of the valve. Under the plate 15 there are one or more openings 16.
- a disc seal 17 is clamped by the edge 18 of a cover 19 which overlaps the flange 4 and ensures that no atmospheric moisture can penetrate from the outside.
- a pressure cell At the opposite end is the bottom 20 of a pressure cell, generally designated 21. It corresponds to a concave dome 2 folded inwards, with sufficient material in its stabilizing folds to push outwards in the event of excessive pressure development, for example at temperatures above 50 ° C, and thus to create an additional security space by increasing the volume of the entire container. Except for the curvature towards the inside, however, the base 20 corresponds in all parts to the dome 2, so that its description can be dispensed with in detail. Accordingly, it is held with a flanged edge 22 on the relevant end of the tube 1, the edge surrounding the recess provided in the middle being flanged, as shown at 23. A plate 24 is fastened on this edge by a flange 25.
- the plate has an annular recess 26, the axial outer edge 27 of which is dimensioned in such a way that it can only be inserted under tension into the outer end of a tube 28 which forms the jacket of an additional container, generally designated 29.
- An inner annular groove 30 serves for the positive connection of the tube 28 to an inner collar 32 of an elastic sleeve 31.
- This collar 32 sits on the shoulder 34 of the annular space 26, while the adjoining cylindrical section 33 of the sleeve 31 extends from the inner edge 35 of the annular space 26 is held.
- the axial locking towards the inside is ensured by a positive fit at 36 between the inner edge 35 of the recess 26 and an enlarged inner section of the sleeve 31.
- a rod designed as a plunger 37 is inserted into the tube 28 concentrically with the tube 28. It has an inner collar 38, with which it is supported on the inner edge 39 of the sleeve 31, and also has an outer collar 39 ', which can accordingly be supported on the outer edge 40 of the sleeve 31.
- the protruding plunger end 41 is covered with a cap 42 in the manner of the cap 19.
- the inner end 43 of the plunger 37 is supported on the inside 44 of an additional container lid, generally designated 45.
- This cover sits with an annular shoulder 46 on the inner end face of the tube 28 and extends into the interior of the tube 28 with a section 47 of reduced diameter.
- an annular seal 48 seals which is inserted into an inner groove 49 of the tube 28.
- the user first removes the cap 42 in place. This is relatively simple because all he has to do is pull the tongue 50, which forms a structural unit with the cap 42, as a result of which the edge thereof is deformed and pulled off from the flange 23.
- the user pushes the pressure container 21 with the end 41 of the plunger 37 onto a solid base. This triggers the axial movement of the plunger 37, indicated by the arrow 53, which leads to its resilient yielding due to the support of the outer collar 39 'on the outer edge 40 of the sleeve 31.
- the inner end 43 of the plunger 37 is non-positively connected to the additional container cover 45.
- the contents of the container can be dispensed by tilting the valve 12. This is because the plate 15 lifts from the collar 9, as a result of which the opening 16 is cleared and the container contents flow outwards through the valve tube.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a container, in particular a pressure can for dispensing one-component or multi-component substances, preferably polyurethane foam, with an additional container receiving further components, which receives a rod which interacts with an inner lid sealed in the additional container and which is sealed by a seal in a with the Bottom of the container connected additional container connection is guided outwards and is movable into the container to detach the lid of the additional container, according to the preamble of
In particular, the invention relates to the formation of pressure cans which, in addition to the liquid substances of the main component which are required for the production and application of the polyurethane foam, also accommodate an additional container connected to the container formed by the pressure can and in which the further components are contained. The substances contained in the pressure vessel are usually liquid and usually consist of a prepolymer, optionally a foamer and the liquid compressed gas that is used to discharge the foam. The other components are present in a relatively small amount and mostly consist of a hydroxy compound with hydroxyl groups, which accelerate the curing of the foam, so that it only needs to take a fraction of the moisture required for curing from the outside air. The other components are introduced into the container shortly before the foam is released after the additional container has been opened by detaching the lid by shaking its contents into the pressure container. The components which are shaken in bring about a chemical reaction, preferably a polyurethane reaction, which gives rise to a rapidly curing foam when it emerges from the can.
The invention is based on a previously known container (DE-U-82 27 229.8). The pressure cell known from this has a one-piece base obtained by reshaping a molded part made of metal. The neck of an additional container, which is provided with an external thread, is inserted into a recess in this base and is clamped between a shoulder of the additional container and the inner edge of the base recess with the aid of a nut screwed on from the outside and deforming a U-ring seal. The rod, which in turn is guided outwards and sealed by a piston-shaped seal in the interior of the additional container, is designed as a shaft which rotates in the additional container neck and is supported on the inside thereof. If the shaft is driven from the outside, this leads to the positive engagement of its inner end with the additional container lid, which is blasted off against the internal pressure in the can.
Pressure sockets with molded bottom are used on a large scale if the bottom is not left open. However, if the base has to be provided with an insert of the type of the additional container belonging to the state of the art, it proves to be impractical because it forces the described bracing with the aid of a nut and a U-ring seal. This requires a disproportionate technical effort and a correspondingly complicated assembly. Due to the need to blow off the lid against the relatively high internal pressure of the container, on the other hand, the rotational mobility of the rod, i. H. their shaft formation and the resulting, relatively complex sealing and lid formation forced. Overall, the effort for the advantage of faster curing of the polyurethane foam is therefore disproportionately large.
The invention has for its object to easily design a container of the known type so that the parts are easier to assemble into a captive unit, but can be operated with sufficient force to be used by the user to detach the additional container lid.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that a plate inserted in a recess in the container bottom and fastened by its flanged edge holds a sleeve which is penetrated by the rod designed as an axially movable plunger and which represents the seal and, with the plunger inserted, with its outer and Seals the inner edge of each on a radial collar of the plunger and yields resiliently when the plunger moves axially.
Flanging the rim of the plate is simple and leads to a sufficient sealing of the plate in the floor, in particular a pressure can, which means that the additional container is assembled with little effort and the aerosol container is reliably sealed to the outside. The tappet design of the rod considerably reduces the sealing problem of the additional container, the internal pressure being applied and maintained via the dome to the tappet and from there via the inner tappet collar to the sleeve edge and the container. To snap off the additional container lid, the resilient sleeve is deformed with the outer collar of the ram without losing its tightness, which is brought about by the pressure exerted by the outer edge of the sleeve. The forces to be applied here are practically arbitrary, because the container is placed on a solid base, e.g. B. table top can be pressed.
The invention has the advantage that it realizes the simple assembly method of a flanging based and enabled. This reduces the effort for assembly, enables simple design of the parts described, which nevertheless function absolutely reliably.
The details, further features and other advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description with reference to the drawing. This shows in axial axial section a pressure can according to the invention.
The actual pressure vessel consists of a
At the opposite end is the
A rod designed as a
The inner end 43 of the
The user first removes the cap 42 in place. This is relatively simple because all he has to do is pull the
After the liquid components have been mixed intimately in the manner described, the contents of the container can be dispensed by tilting the
